The Walking Dead: What We Become (2020)
So many questions
Actually sat there shaking throughout the last ten minutes. Michonnes story isn't over and her conversation with Judith was just heart breaking. This season is on fire! Shane we'll have to wait so long to find out about Rick and Michonnes story. Awesome send of and talented acting
The Walking Dead: Walk with Us (2020)
THAT ENDING !!!!
Can't contain shock at the ending it was insane and finally everything makes sense. Lots of powerful deaths in the episode. Judith really shined today and has quickly become one of the strongest characters on the show. This was one episode that truly changes everything going forward.
The Walking Dead: Morning Star (2020)
Genuinely intense and one of the best!
The whole way through there was a sense of dread and impending doom that slowly built up thought. Most of the episode is a build up towards next episode and the stunning climax. This and last episode has to be some of my personal favourites of the whole show. Honestly also fed up with the number of reviews saying is the show still on blah blah blah. Also unlike another show (cough) game of thrones (cough) the night scene was perfectly balanced with visibility and fearfull darkness. CAN'T WAIT FOR NEXT WEEK!!!
The Walking Dead: Stalker (2020)
Best episode since the calm before
Such a fantastic episode and LOVED the fact there was a new environment, the gas station. It wasn't a huge completey different set but I was becoming sick of the woods and Alexandria being the only sets ever. Would love to see the series head back to a city or run down area, make the world really feel like it was lives in because since season 5 the sets have largely been the same and it's starting to be boring. Thankfully this half of the season has started to mix it up with the cave and gas station. The whole episode was creepy and tense. Samantha Morton absolutely nails her acting once again perfectly blending evil and villainous with a human side. Beta felt very threatening and showed he has real power and domain over the survivors. I don't know who the new director for this episode is but I pray they return more often. For me this episode completely reignited the flame of the show.
Doctor Who: The Timeless Children (2020)
????
Very mixed feelings about this episode. On the one hand it was action packed and provided new and intriguing lore. On the other it was a bit unfocused and sort of fluttered about. Overall even though it was riddled with continuity errors it was a semi decent finale if not disappointing that hopefully sets up a good, hopefully a special , episode.
Doctor Who: The Haunting of Villa Diodati (2020)
A great exciting episode
Jodie continues a great performance throughout the show and has always done her best even when writing was below poor. However the writing was great in this episode and was finally one that moved away from modern day issues like mental health and global warming and let TV be TV, an escape. Expected another boring filler but was shocked and surprised by the lone cyberman. This episode deserves a lot better than a 6.6.
Doctor Who: Can You Hear Me? (2020)
One of the Jodie's best
From a line of almost unwatchable episodes in the past two years(apart from a few good this year) this one brought a fresh new perspective. It still isn't as good as Tennant's or any other doctors run but it was still very enjoyable. The show needs to focus more on the characters development and stories instead of these random thrown together monsters. Really like seeing a less intense plot and more breathing time seeing the companions and their interactions with family and friends. The antagonist was well executed and worked well but the 'nightmare monsters' weren't necessary. Jodie still does the best she can throughout the episode and it was nice to see the doctor just being the doctor and being daft. Next season we need to see more interactions and to feel like previous episodes had consequences not just like they were scooped under the rug and never to be mentioned again, episodes should start feeling like things have changed. To conclude, in the future there should be less random plots and more tight focused plots that carry real weight, less poorly executed aliens and the characters really feel like people, with fears but also wants.
Doctor Who: Fugitive of the Judoon (2020)
Shocking!
Twists and turns everywhere! One of the greatest episodes in years. Hopefully building towards an epic season finale.
Ni no kuni (2019)
Perfect for fans of the games
If you enjoyed the games, you'll likely enjoy this. There are tons of Easter eggs and references plus some of the soundtrack from the games makes another appearance.
6 Underground (2019)
A superb and fun film
This film won't be winning any Oscars but it so fun to watch and looks extremely good is 4k. Watch it, turn your brain of and enjoy.
Resident Evil: The Final Chapter (2016)
The best one yet
After basically binge watching this film series, it has definitely become a guilty pleasure for me. I am a huge fan of the game series and while this does have a completely different tone and atmosphere, it is still the most fun and enjoyable movie I have ever watched and was even left crying by the end. Loved every second and really hope that the reboot happens SOON! Love the cast also, especially Alice.
