Mary Had a Little Lamb (2023)
Goes from bad to worse
I like a lot of B movies but this is terrible. You know in the first few minutes that it's gonna be bad but, man oh man.
The main actress's voice was annoying and so was the acting.
I think only one or two of the victims ever screamed, there is this weird silence at times when the lady's see the lamb. I guess they were too much in shock to remember to scream.
There's another part where a couple gets back to the car and are trying to start the ignition even after the guy says that all of the wires have been cut. So dumb.
Mary was raped and has a human /lamb hybrid baby?! OK.
I can't believe I made it to the end. The end that just kind of ends.
Hard to say if this is as bad as Winnie the Pooh-Blood and Honey, but it's on the same field.
Malignant (2021)
This is just bad
Not even so bad it's funny bad, just terrible bad. The first scene made me question it but I kept watching. The acting is so bad and it never gets better, so I jump on IMDB and read the reviews. They say it's not as bad as some of the reviews, so I push on. At around 1:15 into the movie, the ceiling falls out, literally, and from there on, it turns into the most ridiculous waste of time that makes you question why you are still watching. As you continue watching, you realize that you have been bamboozled. This is not a horror movie, although it has been set up as one, it has now turned into The Matrix meets Evil Dead, except it's not funny, at all. "Call in the National Guard" , yes please do and put an end to this abomination. I've now wasted this much time in this movie, let's finish this, it can't get worse, can it? Maybe if they make a part 2 and guess how they end it, yeah, they left it open for a sequel.
I Care a Lot (2020)
Why Netflix why
Don't waste your time. I say this too often with Netflix movies and it's getting old fast. You want the main character to be killed, pretty much, the entire movie. The rest of the time you're rolling your eyes at the ridiculousness.
2 examples:
1. The girlfriend gets her a$$ kicked by 2 big mafia guys, not sure why she wasn't killed, but after Marla finds her and cleans her up, she doesn't even have a black eye.
2. Marla is drugged and then a few minutes after she comes to she is knocked out again with chlorophyll and driven into water. Yet she can remember a license plate number... What!
Such a bad movie.
Things Heard & Seen (2021)
Don't waste your time
Any rating higher than 5 or 6 is a lie. It is just like nearly every other Netflix movie, great premise, even starts out pretty good but ultimately falls apart and turns into garbage. Don't bother if you're an adult, this is a kids "scary" movie at best.
Cobra Kai (2018)
All those 10s are ridiculous...
There is no way anyone can honestly give this series a 10, except if rating it strictly on the comedy. It is cheese with cheese on top and a side cheese.
I'm still not sure if it's the acting that's bad or the writing they have to work with, maybe a bit of both. Worse than that is the fight choreography, it is just poorly done. Every kick and punch is badly telegraphed in every shot, makes it look like an amateur production. Don't even get me started on Johnny being stuck in the 80s.
But I will say that I continue to watch simply for the nostalgia. ;)
Dark Light (2019)
Don't get fooled by the intro
The intro is the best part of the whole movie, don't allow it to suck you in. Some of the other reviews say that the acting is good. Um, No! I think they've reviewed the wrong movie. Terrible acting, terrible! The absolute worst vehicle accident scene I've ever seen and (of course) only the main character survives it. Terrible movie!
The Witcher (2019)
Maybe one needs to read the books first?
Watched the first episode because of the high ratings and honestly, I have no idea what is going on. This episode had some cool fight scenes and seemed interesting here and there but I lost interest during most of the dialog scenes. Maybe having a background in the story would help? I think I'll watch another episode or two and update my review then.
Head Count (2018)
Great beginning build up but falls flat
Awesome build up starting with the jacuzzi scene...keeps you wanting to find out what it is they see....until you finally see it. Decent movie, it was entertaining and well paced, I thought. Wish they did more of the extra body stuff instead of the tequila and desert hiking though. Would have made it a lot better. The ending is just not good. The thing is not good. The ending is a mess. It goes from day time in the desert to nighttime back at the house all of a sudden. Not bad for a time killer.
Ouija Seance: The Final Game (2018)
Bad and gets worse
Bad actors. Badly written movie. Dumb decisions, the biggest being to decide to watch this garbage. The lead actress is horrendous. You could get some middle schoolers to write a better story than what was presented here and they could probably act better too.
Tucker and Dale vs Evil (2010)
Cult classic
This movie is hilarious. A coworker told me about it, so glad I watched it. One of my favorites.
Beautiful People (2014)
Interesting cover...
The cover reminded me of Scary stories to tell in the Dark. But trust the rest of the reviews, this is GARBAGE, HOT GARBAGE. Seriously skip the first 45 minutes and then start watching, it's still terrible but you won't miss anything important.
Bushwick (2017)
Pick up a weapon!
This dude was in the Marine Corps but he never once picked up a dead enemy's weapon when he only had a backpack and a hand gun! Come on man! He whispers the whole movie too...annoying.
