Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets (2017)
Don't believe the internet...ITS TERRIBLE
I had high hopes for this. Had positive and wishful thinking going into it. Oh man was I wrong. Terrible acting. Terrible story. I will never get that 2 plus hours of my life back. This movie was bad. It had 1 single positive take and that was the effects and format. Visually it was beautiful. That was it. For the people saying it was better than the newer star wars films, it's non comparable. Do not waste your time on this trash. You've been warned. 3 out of 10 for the visuals alone. What a dumpster fire. I've never read the graphic novel and it's very cut and dry that I don't need to. If the novel is as bad as the film, burn it. This was an absolute waste of time. It's hard not to cringe while trying to get through the entire film. I will never take a film suggestion from the individual that made me watch this. EVER AGAIN. Do not trust anyone that tells you this a good movie. For this movie to be good you have to be under the influence of multiple mind altering substances. Do yourself a favor. Pass on this one. I wish I would have.
Hatchet II (2010)
Those who love ariescope/Adam Green, you will love it!
If you are a fan of Adam Green, a fan of ariescope, that whole genre, you will love this. I love everything they do, I own every season of Holliston on DVD, watch everything they do and love it. Granted, you need a special sense of humor, but if you typically like their style, you love everything they do. Beyond the marrow, spooky sleepovers, I'm a huge fan. Hatchet series is so good and comparable to what they do. Love ariescope, Adam Green, all the content!
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (2011)
Years of playing this game, watching others, it NEVER gets old!
I originally started skyrim when it came out 7-8 years ago. Since then, I've bought it 5 different times, from switching consoles, played through it differently each time. Whether it was a nord,or any of the other races and 2 handed, 1 handed 1 magic, mage, all of it. It is still my favorite game I've ever played. Im 30. Grew up with nes, snes, sega, e.t.c. I plan on getting the imperial dragon as a tattoo because of how much this game means to me. I know it sounds silly, but this game has saved my life. Ive been through alot. I found my brother after he committed suicide, have lost alot of friends from suicide and overdose, seen family go in and out of hospitals. This game has always been an escape of mine. ALOT of my friends play it as well, so its not only therapeutic to play, but to watch. I've watched game play on YouTube to see others play as well. Needless to say, one of the best games ever made. Completely immersive. You are doing yourself a dishonor by not playing this. If you're a fan of open world rpg's, PLAY THIS GAME!!!!!
Holliston (2012)
Fan of Adam? WATCH THIS. Someone from Holliston? It's not Nat geo!
I saw a review from someone that comes from Holliston bashing this. Because they're from the town this is "based" in? Middle finger goes to you. If you are a fan of ariescope and everything they do, you will LOVE this show. Adam is great, Joe is great, and everyone involved is great. It's a mashup of great actors, directors, and talent that if you are a fan of the genre, you will LOVE. I grew up watching horror movies and in high school got introduced to Adam's work and have been a huge fan ever since. If you have a sense of taste to horror, comedy, and like Adam's work or ariescope, CHECK THIS OUT!!!!
Sisters (2015)
Expected better...
With the cast, and buzz of the film, I went into it blind and had high expectations. That being said. Boring plot, less than funny jokes. I didn't not laugh once. A boring, horrible performance. It was almost that they are begging you to laugh. Not impressed. It was bad all the way through. Only reason I rated it what I did, was the special features. They were funnier than the actual film. Dont waste your time.
Halloween (2018)
Anyone who gives this movie a bad review, is a MORON.
If you call yourself a Halloween fan, and give this movie a bad review, you are IGNORANT. They follow the first movie percent of 100. You need to go into this movie excluding the sequels. Watch the first movie, than this one and it makes perfect sense. It's obvious that nobody knows the franchise that regular horror fans do growing up watching the films. I was raised on horror films like halloween. I appreciate all the films. To actually enjoy this film you need to forget about all the movies that followed the first film. ANYONE who gives this film bad credit is inadequate on their film knowledge. If you are a true fan of the original halloween, you WILL enjoy this movie. Everyone who gave this movie a bad rating, you are ignorant. Anyone who is a TRUE fan, you WILL enjoy this movie as long as you understand the storyline. DO NOT PASS THIS MOVIE UP!!!!
The Lion King (2019)
Why the bad reviews? People are critical to a fault!
If you were a original fan of the animated Disney film, you will love this film. It's virtually the same film, scene by scene, shot upon shot. Obviously has a different voice cast, but they hold their own. There were some lines that I found a bit forced and cheesy at times but remember, this is a CHILDREN'S film. It is a new take, on an old classic. I'm 30 years old and I was so excited to see the new take on the movie even if that meant the same story, same scenes, just done in a different format. That's exactly what they did. Some scenes differ the slightest bit from my childhood favorite, but almost every single scene is the same. Same dialogue, same everything. If you give this movie negative reviews, you don't like the original. IT'S THE SAME MOVIE. Growing up, The Lion King was a favorite. This movie has so much nostalgia, and it's done in a beautiful way. If you can remember being a child, and crying, laughing, and just straight up enjoying the original, do yourself a favor and see this movie. Ignore the negative reviews. I read them all before viewing it, and I strongly disagree with everyone. People are way to critical nowadays. Like I said and I'll leave it with this. If you were a child growing up in the 90's, and the Lion King was one of your favorites, you NEED to see this movie. Do yourself that justice. You WILL NOT regret it!
