Space Cowboys (2000)
Classic actors showing they still got it.
With the talents of Eastwood, Jones, Garner, and Sutherland, how could this movie go wrong. With a winning mixture of action, comedy, drama, and special effects, Space Cowboys is a film for all generations. Some foul language but not to the excessive amounts usually found in todays movies. i personally rate this movie as follows
Story: 10 Acting: 10 Cinimatography: 10 Over all: 10
Sling Blade (1996)
Billy Bob Does It All
Billy Bob Thorton Proves he is one of the most talented men in hollywood by writing, Directing, and staring in a most compelling story of friendship, turmoil, and justice. You can't help but hope for the best when it comes to the main characters' "Karl" outcome.
Charlie's Angels (2000)
Not your fathers angels.
If you're old enough to remember the original TV series then you'll know that this film is nothing like it. While the girls still have that "Jiggle TV" appeal, these girls can kick butt. It combines action/adventure with cheesy comedy. Rent, buy, borrow, or steal this movie, you gotta see it.
Heaven Can Wait (1943)
When movies and actors were great
I may be generation X but I know a good movie when I see it. I happened across this one late at night and have watched it every time it has come on since. It is a light hearted tale of a decessed man that goes straight to hell and has to convince the devil, or his excellancy as he is called in the movie, why he deserves to be there, and not in heaven. If given the chance I HIGHLY RECOMEND that everyone sees this film.
What Lies Beneath (2000)
WOW!
An exceptional movie with suspense, drama, and the ability to make your wife almost rip your arm off when she jumps off the couch. It is hard to find a movie like this anymore. One of the best suspense movies since Hitchcock passed away.
The Road to El Dorado (2000)
Not Bad, but not real
Although my kids love this film, and that the animation of it was exceptional, I did have problems with some of the realism. Mainly the fact that the people all spoke one language and no need for interpretation was needed. Also I do tend to object to the fact that there was skinny dipping in a so called kids movie.
