Desperation (2006)
Confusing a little bit, but still loved it.
I have always enjoyed reading and watching Stephen King, so when i was flicking channels last month in November, i came across Urban Legend (another horror favorite), which wouldn't be on for another hour. i was flicking for something to watch till it came on so i picked 'Desperation' after seeing it was a King film. i flicked it on and not expecting much,i thought, 'i'll just watch this till UL comes on'. i had a lot of laughs with Collie. i never read the book but i liked the movie so i'll try to get it someday. i thought the actors where doing a great job on acting, especially acting scared and what not.
for people who have not seen the movie, turn away now *SPOILERS AHEAD* the plot goes the travelers in the Nevada desert near Desperation would be pulled over by a cop called Collie Entragian. most likely always finding an excuse to haul their butts off to jail. people who where arrested where the Carver family, arrested for 4 flat tires, Peter and Mary for the position of dope, and John Edward Marrinville for 'releiving himself in public.' before Marrinville is arrested it jumps to a U-Haul van driven by Steve Ames. he picks up a hitchhiker named Cynthia Smith, gets a call from Marrinville to help him after he gets arrested and then they go to Desperation, go to a building looking for phones, go through a place littered by dead body's, get it on (almost. and if u know what i mean)then u can find out what happens by yourself.
Phar Lap (1983)
As good as Family Guy
When I first saw this movie, I was thinking it wouldn't be nearly as good as Family Guy. It is now my second favorite movie. When I first brought it home, I cried throughout the whole movie and watched it four times in a row in a single day. It could have done better putting Phar Lap's death at the end of the movie though. You just can't help but love him and if you go to Melbourne I suggest you go the Melbourne Museum and see him. If you already have, you will know Towering Inferno (horse that played Phar Lap) couldn't get the right size of Phar Lap. A little fact is Towering Inferno was struck by lighting and died after the movie was filmed. My favorite part is the end of the movie where, even with a painful hoove injury he won the American race. *Sob* It was to be his last ever race.
