Ahsoka: Part Four: Fallen Jedi (2023)
A Departure from Jedi Principles?
Having been an ardent fan of the Star Wars universe for years, I was excited to delve into the "Ahsoka" series, hoping for a compelling narrative about a cherished character. Yet, Season 1, Episode 4 left me somewhat befuddled. The episode's plot twist, where Ahsoka suggests they might need to sacrifice someone to prevent a villain's return, seems to be a stark divergence from the Jedi code and principles we've come to understand.
One of the central tenets of the Jedi is the value of all life. The notion of sacrificing an innocent to potentially save hundreds seems contradictory to this belief. While every story needs its dramatic moments, it's vital that these moments remain true to the established lore, especially in a universe as rich and intricate as Star Wars.
I understand the need for character development and the complexities that come with it. However, this particular plot direction feels more like a deviation rather than evolution. Here's hoping the subsequent episodes provide more clarity and stay true to the Jedi we've come to know and love.
The rest was okay.
The Rookie: The Switch (2018)
Terrible glorification of victimhood culture.
In the fourth episode of The Rookie's first season, "The Switch," we are presented with a narrative that, regrettably, leans heavily into the promotion of victimhood culture. This approach not only detracts from the potential complexity of the story, but also treads on intellectually dishonest grounds.
A primary concern arises with the portrayal of the protagonist's girlfriend. The dialogue, intended to highlight her struggles, instead seems to fixate on a recurrent notion: her life is excessively challenging and, in contrast, his life is breezily straightforward. This portrayal becomes particularly irksome as it unnecessarily overemphasizes and simplifies the concept of hardship and struggle, thus hindering the possibility for a more nuanced discussion on different life experiences and societal obstacles.
Furthermore, the script appears to insinuate that her endeavors are inherently more valuable than his, mainly due to the level of adversity she faces. This standpoint, rather than encouraging empathy, may inadvertently foster divisiveness. It arguably sends the message that the legitimacy of one's efforts is primarily defined by the degree of their hardship, an oversimplified perspective that could risk devaluing a variety of legitimate life experiences.
Overall, this episode leaves the viewer with an uncomfortable aftertaste. The well-intentioned aim to foster understanding and solidarity is overshadowed by the show's misdirected attempt to glorify victimhood culture. The series would do well to remember that compelling storytelling resides in the gray areas of life and human experience, rather than in the divisive extremes.
American Horror Story: The Future Perfect (2021)
Please fire who ever is responsible for this
Packed full with the naive and stupid ideas of a 14y old halfwit.
I cant believe how this could have seen the light of day... something must be terribly wrong with QA.
The Umbrella Academy (2019)
Season 3 really sux
Basically everything Luther and Allison are doing is absolutely idiotic. Plus the fact that Emmy Raver-Lampman is a terrible actress makes this season _really_ annoying to watch. :(
I just skip every dialogue where Allison or Luther are involed, because they are _all_ meaningless and add nothing what so ever to the overall plot.
Star Trek: Picard: Mercy (2022)
Michelle Hurd is such a bad actress its painfull
+ the disgustingly bad plot makes this unwatchable.
Uncreative nonsense. We would be better served with a show about Starfleet.
This review dosn't contain spoilers because u cant spoil what is already been spoilt.
AlphaGo (2017)
although its just a documentary of past events, its unbelievable beautiful
How much good alphago brough to this art, despite the early suffering it caused, is just amazing.
A truely magnificent documentary!
Titans (2018)
as bad as every Greg Berlanti production
Extremly weird and weak logical flaws even within one episode.
very weak (almost dumb, at times) conversations, stupid decisions implemented so the characters would follow the desired arc.
the overall scenario and story flow is good tho.
exactly the same as falsh/arrow and all that other mediocre stuff
Game of Thrones (2011)

Doom Patrol (2019)
Amazingly good
High quality production
Medium to good conversations

really cool way of progressing/telling the story
