I saw this movie when I was kid, I guess, when it came out. It's very good. Neetu Singh was amazing here. Probably her career best. It is a rare female protagonist movie when male-dominated movies by heroes like Amitabh Bachhan, Dharmendra, Vinod Khanna etc were in abundance. A movie where the heroine goes to jail and has negative shades has got to be pretty unique. even for today.

Jalal Agha's acting was also very good, in the remorse scenes.

It is amazing that I can still remember this movie after so many years. I am 37 now. It will be interesting to see this movie again and find out what I think about it now.

For all its hype, it was disappointing. Frequently, it seems that the camera is following a real wedding. It may sound like a good approach theoretically, but practically while watching the movie, it is difficult to follow the dialogue when there are multiple people speaking at the same time.

All the romantic subplots were quite predictable, The subplot with the event planner's romance was actually more interesting than the main plot.

The director puts in a few scenes of Delhi intermittently which serves no purpose. It is not "Salaam Delhi".

There were way too many characters for you to get to know anyone. Only Naseer's character is central and even his role will be nowhere close to his superior performances in movies like "Masoom" and "Izaazat".

The director has done a good job with this movie. It is thought-provoking and inspirational. The plot is along the lines of "What if I were the President or the Prime Minister of the country for a day" essays that we have all written in our school days. Not only does it expose corruption in various aspects of life (which is not really new) but it also offers genuine solutions in tackling those problems. There are enough twists in the plot to keep you glued to your seat. I was disappointed with Rani Mukherjee's role which is insignificant and restricted to singing songs with the "Hero". Unfortunately, the songs aren't great. If I could edit the movie to delete the songs and the long fights, I would. But overall, if it inspires even one good soul to enter politics, that would be great. Three cheers to the director!

A lot of times, a movie review might say that the movie is not that great but if the actor is your favorite, then you can see it. This movie had three of my favorite actors, Madhuri, Shabana and Naseer, and I would not recommend it to anyone. Suffice it to say that I was extremely disappointed. This movie had no plot and it did not make any sense. It was essentially a collage of scenes with nothing but the characters in common. I would classify it as an expression of M. F. Hussain's obsession with Madhuri Dixit. It was just a "modern art" painting with film as medium rather than canvas. There were a lot of songs, hardly any memorable, all were barely tolerable. If you consider yourself an intellectual and like good dialogue, then perhaps this movie is for you. But it has absolutely no entertainment value.
