The Wrong Neighbor (2017)
It was nice but...
Yknow compared to alot of the terrible movies I've been seeing on LMN and Lifetime this one wasn't bad but it had alot of errors..
Firstly it's hard to take the movie seriously with interest because the daughter's acting is so bad! In sad scenes, angry scenes, frightened scenes- she contains the same smile smirk looking face that makes it hard to do anything other than laugh because it looks like she's going to burst out laughing with you.
Secondly. This family And this community is 100% blind or something.
When The antagonist gets told she's not allowed to the restaurant opening she goes into a parking lot and screams loud asf and I can't help but wonder how tf nobody heard or complained about that.
When the daughter's boyfriend dies, the antagonist shows up at the funeral And 'cleverly' disguises herself by NOT bothering to to disguise herself. She's mere feet away in a noticeable car and nobody sees her peeping out of the window with that bright lipstick on?..
The mom is a selfish annoyance and it makes it hard to sympathize with her.
The one thing wrapping this entire movie together was the actress of the evil stalker chick. She was pretty dope
Sleeping with My Student (2019)
Lots of problems Tbh
Main characters are Ms Sullivan, her daughter Bree, a boy named Ian, his mother and stepfather named Boom, Gina, and the other Cheerleader who's name I forgot.
------------
So the beginning poses a problem immediately. These three thirsty Older women are having a night out celebrating , and an obviously younger male (Ian) walks in the room and they start hitting on him with not so subtle sex jokes.
Then the lead woman ms Sullivan has sex with him, and even nearly states "I'm old enough to be your mother" . She didn't know how old this guy was and is in the middle of a 'separation', WHICH as later revealed, is BECAUSE of her infidelity.
So clearly she didn't learn her lesson to not be a easy h0e even after her husband took her Affair-daughter as his own and was willing to work on their marriage.
Her friends are terrible friends as they actually encourage her to explore more romance and not fix her marriage that SHE ruined by the way.
Fast forward he ends up being a crappy guy and stalks her in what is supposed to be revenge. His mother is a depressed druggy, married to a shady guy Boom who does and sells drugs.
The climax is towards the end And some Jealous cheerleader named Gina gives up his whereabouts, as he ends up absconding with the woman's daughter after having transferred to the school and getting close to her in a creepy romantic way considering he knows that's his sister ...
He kills Boom and scares off Gina
(prompting her to tell in the first place. Also how does her losing her virginity to Ian have any significance to the story? Other than her going to his home and being shaken up by his rampage. Considering how unbelievably jealous she was of Bree getting close to Ian it'd be nearly inevitable for her to tell on him leaving with Bree out of spite anyways. )
then promises his mentally unstable mother that he will be back.
He doesn't come back, the story ends there ,and you can't help but wonder wtf happens after that. -Does ms Sullivan get exposed to the husband of her infidelity?
-does Bree not become spiteful or even curious about her biological father?
-does she talk to her stepdad about it?
-wtf happens to the drugged mother, does she go to jail too? Yknow since there's a dead guy in her house now and I'm assuming she'll be waiting for her son to come back, or stumbling upon her dead lover which could lead to a bunch of other outcomes..
It could've been better but, plot issues and the mothers lack of respect for herself kinda makes it hard to root for her or care about the danger that ensues.
Stressed to Death (2019)
really could've been better
I've been on a streak watching lmn/lifetime movies as I'm stuck at home with late pregnancy and each movie I never left a review but holy hell. This movie has some of the worst acting I've ever seen. Especially from the daughter! The mother is unbelievably weak asf, the father holds barely emotion, and the worst part is the plot. The lady decides to wait a DECADE after her husband's death to enact this grand scheme of sabotaging a family because her husband couldn't be saved by the family's mother. Not one year, not months. And the fact that the nurse lady seems sooo affected (Yeah right) by this tragedy that she gets ptsd makes NO sense because nor she or the husband even have the audacity to remember who the man or his family is. Which arguably would've prevented this whole thing. The father spends most of the movie bleeding to death and hopping around. The dad's boss "helps him" in such an obviously suspicious unhelpful manner that it makes me wonder how stupid he rly is. Too much for me to dislike for me to even enjoy without losing braincells.
