The Mitchells vs the Machines (2021)
Magical Munchie
It was great, it was a little loud but then we turned out TV volume down, it was super relatable to my own family experiences, I appreciate an accurate portrayal of the robot apocalypse, having a pug is the key to surviving, the pug is the life ring, power of the pug, inspiring movie to watch with the family to remind them why you should do intense survival training,
Dog cop needs to be a show, more movies about munchie in general need to be made.
A Christmas Movie Christmas (2019)
Creepy and weird
Low budget "attractive" men who are super creepy. On the low end of Christmas movies I've seen and I've seen like 14. And fake snow, c'mon. With such great writing as "don't you know who me is?"
A California Christmas (2020)
Finally, a Christmas movie made in the USA
No canadian accents here. Destitute family too dumb to realize they're on a wine gold mine. No snowmen, no Santas, no Christmas tree farms, if this is what Christmas in california is like, we're never going. Acting was decent for the genre. Nice montage.
Operation Christmas Drop (2020)
More like Operation Christmas Dookie
Pretty cringy, the gecko was cool, but looked like they paid a college student to do the CGI. Predictable, about as bad as you would expect for a Christmas movie, better production quality than average but doesn't make up for the tired plot. Acting wasn't the worst, but the one reviewer below was clearly Alexander Ludwigs mom.
A Christmas in Vermont (2016)
More cheese than in all of Vermont
Like many bad Christmas movies, you are left perplexed as to how the main characters fall in love. Inexplicably Chevy Chase is in this movie. That, along with the script, leaves you many times wondering, what's going on right now? The interactions are awkward, and are attempting to get a point across, but often times you have no idea what that is. Overall, really great if you're looking for a movie to confuse you. Women supporting women in business was a redeeming quality. That, and Vermont is just great.
The Knight Before Christmas (2019)
Like a bad reverse outlander
Not terrible for a Christmas movie, but some room for improvement. Acting was halfway decent. Some of the jokes fell flat. Everyone in Ohio is a millionaire apparently. The idea that a 14th century knight would not get arrested and make friends in the 21st century is a stretch for the imagination. Could probably say the word wench less.
Santa Girl (2019)
More like Santa Hurl
None of the characters were likeable, Santa was mean, everyone treated the elves like they were second class citizens and the movie never apologized for it. The dramatic moments were poorly acted to swelling orchestra music. The special effects were dated about 50 years. The only redeeming quality was that it wasn't shoving Christianity down your throat. Sam actor was okay, hope he moves on to real movies someday. Good luck buddy.
