Found Footage Haters- Stop Skewing the Reviews!!!
You know what I can't stand to sit through and endure? Ppl who hate found footage movies but still find it necessary to not only watch them but post their stupid, inherently biased reviews that skew the movies rating for the rest of us who genuinely want to know if it's good or not. It's hard to get an accurate rating when idiots who obviously hate the genre anyway and are automatically prone to give it a terrible rating. We get it you hate found footage. Good for you. Your reviews are just annoying to the rest of us. Why would you watch a genre you hate? I can't stand musicals but you wouldn't catch me wasting 2 hrs of my life watching Hairspray. Let alone leaving a review on it. Probably because I am not a loser. If you haven't actually watched and are just being a hater and going out of your way to leave a bad review than congrats, you are an even bigger loser.
Btw this movie wasn't half bad. It is a little confused, little conflicted on what it wants to be. The acting is ok but there are some genuinely scary scenes which is the most important aspect of a horror movie. While it isn't the piano and isn't winning any academy awards I didn't have high expectations and the movie delivered where it needed to. I don't want to give anything away so watch it for yourself. Unless you hate found footage. Then you obviously won't like this FOUND FOOTAGE MOVIE!!!
End of Watch (2012)
Found Footage Take on Cops is Gritty, Funny and Emotional
I've never been a huge Jake Gyllenhaal fan. But like "Son in Law" with Pauly Shore I realized that he was truly perfect for this role and it couldn't have been played by anyone else.
Gyllenhaal and Michael Pena have chemistry for days. Supporting roles are on point. It's well written, well acted, well paced and I know people will complain about the"shaky cam" aspect but the body cam footage is what gives the movie such an authentic feel. The two leads even rode around with the LAPD for months to prepare for the role.
The best part about this movie is the humanization of the two cops. It's a window into their world. Even after patrolling some of the most dangerous neighborhoods in the country they have private lives just like the rest of us. My favorite parts of the movie aren't the action scenes but just the moments of the two partners riding in the squad car. Talking about life, ripping on each other, telling stories and cracking jokes. I think that's what the movie was truly supposed to be about. Moments between two partners that are more like two brothers.
The bond the two guys have, the events happening in their everyday lives all builds to climax in a truly emotional ending.
I can't imagine anyone watching this movie and hating it. It's a fantastic piece of cinema.
The Suicide Squad (2021)
Don't be fooled by how ridiculous this movie looks
I'm blown away at how good this movie was. Much better than it has any right to be if that makes sense. It has the look of Sharknado or snakes on a plane. So utterly terrible and ridiculous you just have to watch it. So imagine my surprise 10 minutes into the movie I was absolutely hooked. Many genre's rolled into one this dark comedy, action thriller is well paced, well acted and surprisingly well written. Miles ahead of the big budget turd plopped out by DC in 2016, birds of prey or any other franchise movie with the exception of joker or the dark knight trilogy (dark knight rises aside maybe). If you're looking for a deep character driven Oscar film look elsewhere. Joker it is not. But it you are looking for well timed action sequences, a good plot/story, excessive gore, a lot of laughs and ridiculously over the top characters that actually work and mesh well together while keeping you engaged throughout the entire film then give this a chance. My on.

Alien Abduction (2014)
EVEN THOUGH I ALREADY HATE FOUND FOOTAGE AND ALIEN MOVIES IM STILL GONNA WATCH THIS, WHINE AND GIVE IT A 10.
Really its sad I have to take ratings of found footage movies on IMBD with a grain of salt. It seems like every one is divided in two camps. Almost all the lowest ratings are from people who hate FF or shaky cam videos. I can't ima.
Greystone Park (2012)
IF YOU LIKE FOUND FOOTAGE IGNORE THE HATERS
Definitely not spoilers. Just a few details that give nothing away.
It never ceases to amaze me on EVERY found footage movie you get reviews from ppl who falt out say how much they hate found footage movies. Yet they watch the movie anyway and are somehow suprised at how much they hated it. Pretty much poisoning the reviews for those you do like them and just want to see if one is worth watching.
Greystone park absolutely is. I liked the beginning with director juggernaut Oliver Stone and thought it was cool how he told his personal ghost story as a kid of crazy Kate and tied it into the movie. If I had to compare it to anything I guess I would say Grave Encounters which is an awesome found footage film in its own right. Greystone is more of a realistic take. The office of the "witch". The creepy dolls. The psychic driving. Crazy Kate. The terrifying drawings that adorn the walls. Billy Lasher. On top of that it is expertly acted by its three stars. Especially Alex, who genuinely sold his first encounter at greystone with an unfriendly spirit. Rewind this part by the way and look at what flashes on the screen for just a second. You have to look closely. There is also a part where sean stone legit looks possesed. Like something absolutely demonic has got a hold on him. The dreanged look in his eyes make it look like he is trying with his life to fight it and hold on to his sanity.
My only gripe and the reason I held off from 10 is that just when it gets bone chilling as this is happening the movie starts to get a little convoluted and confusing. For a bit it becomes hard to follow what exactly is going on. It definitely makes up for it with and absolutely terrifying ending in the church. Like grave encounters its a fate worse than death. Luckily unlike grave encounters their isnt a terrible sequel.
If you like found footage give it a look. I was pleasantly surprised given its reviews. I think if this is your kind of movie then you will be too.
