Inglourious Basterds (2009)
Nothing happens for an hour and a half
This movie was off to such a great start, it was extremely entertaining and it never got boring for the first half an hour. But then chapters 3, 4, and half of 5 were exceptionally boring. The only thing happening during this time was people sitting in a bar or restaurant and drinking and talking french and german. 99% of it is irrelevant too, it doesn't really progress the story at all and to be honest it could've been removed from the movie entirely and it wouldn't change much. But the ending and the first half an hour were amazing, and that's why I kept watching. I can't see myself watching this movie again, for a very very long time at least.
Nightcrawler (2014)
Gyllenhaal's Best Performance
From start to finish this movie is purely amazing. Not a single part of this movie i was bored of, i can watch this countless times and not get bored. The pacing was 10/10, the movie wasn't too long or too short and it flows perfectly, no parts were boring, and it slowly showed Lou becoming more and more psychotic and the ending really showed his true colours. I feel like the movie really hid the fact he was a borderline psychopath from us perfectly, but slowly shows us he isn't a normal and good person, which i think could not have been done better. This is Gyllenhaal's best performance to this day, Prisoners a close second.
Annabelle: Creation (2017)
Criminally Underrated
Amazing cinematography, amazing characters, and the suspense is built up so well. This one terrified me most and i have seen it 10+ times and i still find it amazing. This movie is so underrated and deserves way higher ratings than what it has. I feel like the ending where it shows the start of the original (and average) annabelle movie was done so well and confirms it is a prequel and gives us some backstory to Janice and shows who she actually was. If you have not seen this movie i highly recommend you watch it, even if you aren't a big fan of horror i still recommend it, this movie is what got me into the horror genre. 10/10.
