About Fate (2022)
Definite "Hallmark Christmas" movie vibes, but in a good way
Ok, so I just wanted a blah movie I could have on in the background while I was getting some work done. But by the wedding I'd pushed all my work aside and was engrossed. Such a sweet story. Idk why getting married five minutes after you meet someone became so prevalent but whatevs. It's a really nice movie to watch, but total chick flick!!! I wish Emma Roberts didn't get pigeonholed as such a screw up in like everything she does but I guess it works for her. Don't recognize what I know the guy from but he is definitely a cute geek. All in all a nice little movie. Can't see it winning any awards, but definitely one that will be around awhile.
Gimme Shelter (2013)
A very different roleFor Vanessa Hudgens
I wish it talked about the fact that it's a true story more. My heart breaks for Apple. And I have to admit, I really kinda hated her dad for most of the movie. Vanessa Hudgens does a great job playing a very dramatic role. It's a good movie, I highly recommend it. The shelter is such an amazing place that I didn't think existed anywhere in the United States. A place where they don't tell these homeless , unwanted girls that keeping their babies will ruin their lives and the lives of their children. I still don't understand why she goes back when her father is offering her anything and everything she and her baby could ever need but I can understand wanting to be with people just like her.
How It Ends (2021)
Probably the dumbest thing I've seen in a long time
I...they...who....what the hell did I just watch?!?! This has to be the weirdest 86 minutes of my life. I think the only way you could enjoy this movie is if you got REALLY high before you started watching it, and continued to get higher as it went on. Don't waste your time.if I thought for one Second that my younger self would follow me around for the rest of my life, I'd unalive myself as quickly as possible. I expected way more people, especially in LA, if this was the last day of existence. I'd definitely expect more of a Purge type feel to LA. Where are the hoarders and the looters? Honestly, that's what made it so unbelievable. Everyone is so chill!!!
Powder (1995)
Such an underrated movie
I know Jeff Goldblum has chosen to be in some weird movies, but this one is one of my favorites. Such a beautiful example of so many things.
Don't judge a book by its cover.
Those who leave us never really do.
But most importantly to me is that if we could just feel how other people feel, this world would be such a different place.
I've often thought that I wish I could know, like for sure know, what other people are really thinking. But Powder knew, and all it did was make him want to be more alone. He truly was an Angel.
Highly recommend this movie.
Taking Chance (2009)
I literally cried the whole movie
Who knew there were so many rules, procedures, and traditions involved in bringing a deceased soldier home. I also didn't realize they're buried in brand new uniforms either. My only question: why no shoes? Highly recommend this movie, but make sure you have tissues.
Spontaneous (2020)
This movie has it all!
Like, in a world where everything bad that can happen seems to happen, and no one can fix anything, and life just sucks, this movie rocks. I laughed, a lot. I cried. I was anxious and mad and suspicious and just all of the feels. I really recommend this movie. It's not a "feel good" move in any way, but it did actually make me feel better. My life is utter crap right now, but at least I haven't exploded. Yet.
The Unforgivable (2021)
As a big sister, I felt this in my soul
Any Sandra Bullock drama I'm automatically down for. And this was grittier than most. But the twist, i so did not see coming. But it's amazing the dominoes that fall, and how they fall, after a single event. This movie is an eye-opening look into what happens "after". I felt anger and shock and fear and so many emotions at once. Well worth the watch. My heart is still racing.
He's All That (2021)
Ok, shoot me but I really liked it.
I loved the original movie, I liked this update of it. The ONLY thing I would have liked more is if Padget's last name was Siler instead of Sawyer. Then Rachel Leigh Cook would have been basically reprising her role. I always want to know what happens after and this had great potential to do that but alas, ''twas not to be. But I am glad I watched it! It's a great way to relax tonight!
Egg (2018)
What the hell did I just watch?!?!
That's an hour and a half of my life that I'll never get back. What the he'll even was that??? It's listed as a comedy but it didn't even make me smile. How absolutely dreadful! Don't waste your time, honestly.
The Colony (2013)
Not too bad of a movie
Interesting premise. Bill Paxton plays an ok bad guy, although his progression was quite obvious. Lawrence Fishburne player a good hero and I wish they'd explored Kevin Zegers' character a bit more. Was really wanting the leader of the crazies, who All clearly had Kuru, to be his long lost father. But that prob would have been too obvious. All in all, not a bad movie. But I'll never watch it again.
