Sometimes its funny, sometimes its sad, sometimes its heartwarming, lots of mixed things but it works together.

Depicts quite accurate of how chinese descent ppl house usually looks like. The detail of the house is amazing. To a point where there's always plates on the drying rack.

I really enjoyed some of the fight scene but some are really slow and some have weird movement. The gun fight was so not real especially the gang war at the episode 7.

I enjoyed the fight of michelle yeoh with xing.

I enjoyed the fight where Bruce ran and makes all the funny movement to avoid thr attack on him.

Improving the fight will have such a huge impact on the movie i think. The story is quite decent, plot twist over plot twist over plot twist.

The story starts really well and the suspense start building up. But for 150 minutes, the movie itself has 0 conclusions. Second, there's so many stupid things happens. For example the stupidest person that cannot drive without GPS and don't know the town were the one sent out to investigate.

There's a maid that cannot speak english at all. Like,,, dude how do you work.

When the older kid gets sick, they didn't think to visit the pharmacy. And they know it's an almost apocalypse but they get drunk? Are you sane??

And it seems that everyone point of view only 20meters far. Cause they should be able to see things beyond by going on a high place.

Give me back my 150 minutes or finish that movie by making a part 2.

Pros: a very nice SFX, Make-up, Costume etc. The suspense especially at the beginning of the movie was quite good.

Cons: the story is situated at early 1980's in Semarang where the people speaks with quite a thick Javanese accent, and this is not reflected in the movie.

The dialogues are so rigid, it feels like I'm watching a high-school drama. Even though it is the correct form of Bahasa Indonesia, but it is not how we speak in daily basis.

The story itself has a huge weak link and plot holes. For example the owner of the Hotel knows that the third floor is restricted for all people. IT CAN CAUSE DEATH.. and let's see how do they prevent people from entering that floor. They just say that "it is closed due to renovation." and just locking the door with no padlocks. The second time someone dies because of the ghost living in that floor, they just use padlock instead of sealing that floor. Like come on just use plywood to close the stair to that floor.

Third the main character hearing a cry of a woman from third floor where it is padlocked, instead of asking employee to help (this is a hotel where definitely there's a security guard, one front office staff at least to help and ask for keys), she just broke the padlock using a hammer.

The high school girl was told to go to the school warehouse to pick up a mannequin, she just get there on the 2nd day. Come on. And she was cursed for the first day and almost get killed by the ghost.

Last the curse itself does not have consistency. The ghost tried to kill the cursed ppl even before the deadline. And they don't use the real "Menur" tree.

First of all, the plus side. I really like the special effects. The magic, the transformation etc. There's a bit of weird special effects (yes you halfling and the deer).

I really like how they use the source material. Even though there's forced "diversity", it is still at acceptable level cause they are cameo.

Story wise, it is a light and fun story. Some jokes thrown here and there, not as funny as a real comedy movies but it will make you chuckle a little.

I cannot give it a 9-10 cause there's still a lot to improve but overall it's enjoyable especially for someone that really likes dungeons and dragons.

From the beginning of the series, i know this is going to be Politically correct and diverse. The fights are not realistic as they looked like GOD tier fighter instead of normal character in Dragon Age. For example they can wipe hordes of undead army. It's just not reasonable especially in this kind of universe. Lots of the spells are according to Dragon Age. What i dont understand is how a knight with shield can deliver same attack as dwarf with two-hand axe.

There's almost 0 story in the almost 6 hours of series. It seems that it can be made as mini series like 1-2 episodes but make it a really good one instead of this steaming pile.

I gave it 3 because the CGI is on point!!

The lighting is attrocious. Everything is so bright when it should be dark if they want to make a horror movie.

The plot is so bad. There's so many plot holes like how can 2 kids go away from their homes and no one looking.

Their power is so amazing almost like super heroes power.

The siblings are so different that they seemed to be from different fathers. There are 5 siblings. And the mother is old enough to be their grandma.

There's a freakin maple tree in Indonesia.

The conversation/script are so rigid. Costumes are ridiculous, some using western clothing while others traditional indonesian.

To sum it up, the only good thing is the CGI. The concept if polished can achieve such a good movie.

The story are just confusing. I've watched LotR and this makes me questions lots of things.

For example, the elves should be the wisest and fairest of them all. I don't see a hint of "fair/beauty" and wisdom. Galadriel character is just so reckless and annoying. I want to kick her teeth in.

And isn't Sauron/Anatar supposed to tempt/trick the Numenor?

Was there even an orc invasion during that age? Aren't they waiting for Sauron?

I dont know why they messed up the timeline. I mean that's literally the backbone of a story. Timeline. Imagine writing a world war I story and there's adolf hitler in it. Just because the writers wants it to.
