Propagnda?
30 June 2019
Warning: Spoilers
This film is a blatant spin off from the original, far superior, 'Unbroken'. It was enjoyable enough until it got to the Billy Graham propaganda which absolutely spoiled the film for me. All the hero needed was a halo!

Brilliant!

This was such a revelation to me, I never knew Gloria Grahame even came to England. The actors all gave convincing performances in what is an intimate story. I loved the line which Peter gave when he said, 'I'm just a guy who can't say no' as it is a direct reference to the song which Gloria sang in 'Oklahoma!' - 'I'm just a girl who can't say no'! I will watch this again.

I like it!

I liked it and its twists and turns. A pity the second season was cancelled after the cliffhanger ending!

Beautiful

Great looking series, gentle pace, perfect casting and developing story line which lends itself to further series. The sets and costumes are typical of the era. It is coincidentally topical at present given the sex scandal events in Hollywood and elsewhere. this is great demo of4K HDR. Stunning. I am looking forward to a further series but before that I must buy the book!

UK Release
8 September 2008
'Run, run, Joe' appeared under this title as a CINERAMA presentation at the London Casino, London UK, opening, 11 April 1974 and carried an 'A' certificate. I believe it to be the only place that this film was shown in Cinerama. As it was filmed in Todd-AO 35mm, the quality of the film when blown up to Cinerama proportions must have been less than ideal. London Coliseum Cinerama Theatre also showed 'The Black Tulip' in Cinerama, again this was exclusive to the UK. I did not see either of these presentations, neither really appealed to me, but maybe someone else did so and would like to add their comments also. It was sad that Cinerama theaters ended their days by presenting films that were not ideal for the process. Still, you can still see genuine 3-strip Cinerama presentations at the Pictureville Theatere in Bradford, UK.
