Leonard Part 6 (1987)
I saw this as a kid
When I was a kid, I loved Bill Cosby and memorized several of his routines. I didn't really understand all of the humor, but he made funny voices and acted silly. So when Leonard Part 6 came out, my friend and I saw it. As with all movies I saw in the theater, I proclaimed it to be entertaining, simply because I got a chance to get out of the house and see a movie on the big screen. My friend tried to set me straight and explained to me it actually wasn't a good movie and reminded me that I also said I liked Masters of the Universe. "Why is is called 'Part 6' when there isn't any previous movies," I remember him asking, to which I replied, "that's why it's funny." I specifically remember the scene where Leonard is tried up and the saw blade is headed straight in-between his legs and cringing. OK, so that part wasn't so entertaining, just awkward, especially for a kid my age. My friend however found it hilarious.
If I were to see this again as an adult, I may very well find it annoying and tedious. But I have a memory of going to the theater with a friend, so thank you Leonard Part 6.
