Identity (2003)
Bravo Bravo
I'm not one who likes to know too much about a film before I watch it. Just tell me the genre and be vague about the synopsis. I like for the movie itself to tell me the story. Do yourself a favor and go into this movie knowing only this: It is a thriller and it is a mystery. And a very good one at that. I loved this movie.
The Dead Center (2018)
Better Than Expected
I really enjoyed this movie. Decent acting and storytelling to go along with some really cool effects. Not the best movie you'll see this year but certainly worth a watch.
Know Fear (2021)
No Fear
Meh. This isn't the worst horror movie you'll see but is entirely forgettable and skippable. If you find yourself on a rainy day with nothing to do... there's still a better option. But if you do decide to watch it there are at least a few decent moments of suspense and a couple of jumps.
Mama (2013)
Ma Ma Mia
This movie is creepy. The effects used felt original and put a new twist on ghostly movies. I went in with low expectations expecting rehashed jump scares... And while there are a few, no ghost movie would be complete without them, the most frightening moments for me came right out in the open developing and unfolding in thrilling white knuckle sequences. I watched this movie about a week ago and have seen several horror movies since but Mama has remained on my mind.
I Care a Lot (2020)
I Do Not Care At All
This movie has no redeeming qualities. I only watched to the end in hopes of that slime ball getting offed. At the very least it delivered there so I gave it it's well deserved 2nd star. This is not an enjoyable movie. The characters are trash human beings. The worst part of it all is the director intends for us to root for the trash human beings throughout the film. Stay WOKE Hollyweird. Stay WOKE. Trash.
Dark Light (2019)
The Light Is Bright
Let's face it, creature features aren't typically cinematic masterpieces. And Dark Light doesn't break that mold. But if you enjoy B movies and meeting cool new monsters Dark Light got you covered. I'm a fan of bad horror movies. Especially ones that live in a new ghoul universe that hasn't been rehashed time and again. As far as low budget horror movies go I feel this production spent it's money wisely. We don't need an A list cast or an academy award winning script... we need cool visual effects and edge of your seat suspense. If you're cool with that you'll enjoy Dark Light.
I don't understand the hate people have for these kinds of movies. They are what they are. This doesn't deserve 1 star. It keeps you engaged and delivers a brand new monster you haven't seen a million times. Watch with an open mind and enjoy the ride.
