All Creatures Great & Small (2020)
Love this remake!
I read all of the books when they came out and never saw the BBC series until recently. Personally I was a bit surprised by the characterisations in the BBC version because the characters didn't seem to be as I remembered them in the books- particularly Hardys domination as Siegfried - excellent actor that he was- seemed out of place. But this Channel 5 version- to me- has the casting and characterisions spot on! I'm loving it! Of course the stories are not religiously relayed as in the books but the spirit is there - and to my mind-exactly as in the books which I'm very happy about after, as I said having seen and been disappointed in the BBC version. It's great to have a series to look forward to watching each week- just what we need in these difficult times!

Portillo's Empire Journey (2020)
Excellent Documentary well worth watching
This was an excellent documentary and many difficult topics were addressed. Portillo did an excellent job- many topics are not well known but he didn't shy away from them but at the same time it wasn't militant- I will definitely look deeper into some of the issues discussed-thank Mr Portillo - job well done!
