Garbage.

I had big expectations from this ONLY because my favorite director Kevin Smith was on, whom I thought is no sell-out for Hollywood desecration of art.

I was wrong, he turned out on dark side too. Do not waste money on this crap, this is just travesty.

Huge disappointment. If Lucas seriously wounded the franchise, Disney killed it totally.
12 January 2016
Warning: Spoilers
There is only few things which work in this movie - lead actress is on top of her role, and scenes where she gets Luke's saber and last scene when she hands it over to him. And, I can say intro scene was decent.

Everything else has absolutely no sense with rest of the series. Here are the most moronic moments:

1) "First order", as military formation gathered from survivors of Empire, is at least 5 times more powerful than Empire ever was, only 20 years after total collapse of Empire. That has no sense.

2) After Empire was defeated in Ep. 6, THE REPUBLIC WAS RESTORED, so there is no reason for any rebellion movement to exist. You would only have Republic army, and this setting, which has both Republic and Rebellion, just has no sense (like almost everything else).

3) Kylo Ren was defeated by storm trooper and some girl which never had training with force. This was the most stupid thing I have ever seen. And no, regular storm trooper cant parry to Jedi or Sith, even if he knows melee weapon techniques, because he cant defend himself from force. If someone with brains was screenwriter, he would know that Kylo Ren would not wait for someone to attack him, but would throw him away, or choke him or her (just like he did actually, to Rey, only moment before he started absolutely illogical battle with those two and obviously forgot that he can still use it).

4) Everything about the map which shows Luke's whereabouts has no sense. We never got explanation who made the map and why, how come that about 90% of the map was all along at R2-D2 and how come he was shut down and inexplicably restarted for no reason? It just has ABSOLUTELY no sense.

5) Guy who plays Kylo Ren looks totally weak. I mean, in moment when he removed his mask, I was not certain should I cry or laugh. He looks like stoned freshman college student who did not took a shower for at least two weeks, and he wants to be a Sith??? Aaaaaah!

6) Why he wares mask anyway? He was not seriously injured like Vader was. Stupid, stupid writing.

7) Harrison Ford. My favorite actor, which did not had bad movie until this one, looks like he was totally out of interest to act here. He is just absolutely unconvincing as Han Solo, just as this whole movie is unconvincing as Star Wars. That was not Han Solo I saw in movie, it was Harrison Ford who was pretty bored and kept waiting everything to be finished.

8) Finn is totally bad written character. It turns out he quit the First Order for no right reason, because he saw the same things like other stormtroopers which were with him. Nothing gave us better explanation why he left (Did slaughter of civilians gave him some flashback from his youth maybe? No one knows, because screenwriters of this trash do not think about it, I guess), and for the rest of the movie he has absolutely no regrets and fears, ALTHOUGH his character MUST HAVE been very scared after running away from the only community and life he (almost) ever knew. But, there are no such things, he stays "bad boy", who doesn't care for such things. One more totally unconvincing character.

Anyway, I am sorry I blamed Lucas for Ep.1-3. It turned out they were great, comparing to this thing, whatever this thing is.

So, I am giving only one star, because I cant give less, and because of Daisy Ridley and couple of scenes. Everything else - just has NO sense, and all of these flaws I mentioned are intolerable. Every single one of them would be enough for this movie to suck, and, as you can see, there is at least 8 of them. The whole story looks written too quickly and actors look like they are just looking forward just to finish the job as soon as possible, with absolutely no effort.

(And I hadn't mentioned other stupidities, like First order was practically defeated on same way Empire was in Ep. 4 (will they ever protect their super weapons better), and that it took only 3 persons to enter their base and make sabotage damage. If you think it is that easy, try to enter some nuclear facility or missile silo with couple of friends, and see what will happen.)

I can't believe someone gave money to film this, and that someone is giving money to watch this.
18 February 2011
Yes, officially someone can call me stupid after seeing this, and honestly I am stupid for watching this.

It is just unusual thing in Hollywood in last 10-15 years or so, when you think that the worst movie ever is made, they surprise you next year with a new horrible movie, which is always worse than the worst movie of the last year you saw. In another words - you think that movie production hit the rock bottom, and after a while you understand that there is a new bottom, beyond that one.

BTW - bring something for your ears protection when you watch this - screaming girls are not something you want to hear.

Nice Yugoslav/Serbian movie about maturing
13 September 2009
What to do if you are chubby guy which is hard to attract any girl? What to do if your mother is trying to find your match you don't really love? What to do if you are just a professor which is in love in your student? In short, this is a comedy with serious life questions we all felt or saw somewhere. This film is about young people which are in the very end of their high school and which will become adults very soon. If you like teenager comedy movies about growing up, getting confidence etc. (like "American pie" or "She's all that") you might like this film, as you will notice that certain things never change and are very much the same in all parts of the world (movie was released in 1981 in former Yugoslavia, todays Serbia).

Great 1980s teenager movie.
19 September 2007
I was a nearly a kid when this movie appeared on TV and I had an opportunity to watch it again a month ago.

What else to say except that all people which lived in '80s will adore this movie because it will remind them on times when life was simpler, when all people around the world respected each other much more and when young people could do anything they wanted with their lives. Skateboards however, survived, and maybe good feeling of '80s will repeat again! However, for todays kids this movie will probably be "lame" or even funny, which will only show us what have we made of world for this 20 years.

Well,in waiting of new "peace era of '80s" watch this and enjoy "Trashin"!
