The Morning Show: The Interview (2019)
A terribly hard watch
This episode was such a hard watch in the best way possible. I tried to start the show when it first came out and it did not catch me in the way it has now. This episode is absolutely phenomenal. All of the actors really made the episode so heart wrenching. It really hurts to know that there are people out there who can relate to these stories and that these stories are not just for entertainment. Powerful people are truly a force to be reckoned with and a lot of that corruption goes straight to the top. Truly just such a good episode, acting, music, camera work, character development. I wish i had given this more of a chance four years ago.
A League of Their Own (2022)
There's No Crying In Baseball!'
TLDR: Reviewers are being sensitive snowflakes that the show has gay characters that literally existed and played on the Rockford Peaches. Great show!!
Based on the same story as the movie but not following exactly the same plot. A good watch and I think a good set up for hopefully season two. Unfortunately a lot of snowflakes in the reviews say politics are brought into this movie. By that, they mean lesbians and black people. Maybelle Blair (born 1927, 95 years old) who is an american baseball player who inspired the role played by Madonna in the original movie. Blair came out at 95 years old and told us her story of being gay during the time of playing on this team, with other lesbians on the team! It has ALWAYS been apart of this story, the original movie censored that. Just because you don't want to see gay characters doesn't mean it isn't a good show with great representation. I'm sorry that the show accurately reflects the struggle of women, gay people, and black people during WWII. All of these sensitive sally's say the show is too political but what they mean is that it makes them uncomfortable.
For All Mankind: Coming Home (2022)
great episode! Loved the cliff hanger!
So many people in these reviews are so butt hurt that gay people exist in this storyline. I'm not sure where they've been these last two seasons bc these characters have always been gay... anyways.. this episode was great! Loved the cliff hanger at the end even though it's maybe not plausible but neither is an orbiting hotel. I think some of it is giving soap opera a bit, like Kelly's storyline but nonetheless still enjoyable!
For All Mankind: New Eden (2022)
don't ask don't tell
Definitely one of the less exciting episodes this season but I feel it setting us up for something big! Acting is great and love to see this alternate universe's politics still reflect US history. I really don't feel sorry for Ellen's woes right now and I'm excited to see more of her character again.
Crush (2022)
Finally!!
Yes this movie isn't the best movie ever created. It's a sweet, cheesy, and funny romantic comedy. When i was a young lady I wish I had such a light hearted film about gay girls finding love without a "traumatic" coming out scene or an ex-boyfriend obstacle to overcome. A really sweet film and great representation. I'm so glad younger ladies have a film like this!
Licorice Pizza (2021)
Is this not weird?
A love story between a 15 year old child and a 25 year old grown woman? Seems pretty icky to me. If the characters genders were switched Im sure there would be more people upset. The age difference seems like more of a quirky thing for their relationship to have rather than it being straight up predatory.
