The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes (2023)
Incredibly faithful to the book
Funny people in the comments not expecting songs from a movie that starts with the name THE BALLAD OF.
The whole point of the movie was to show how Snow starting rising to power and also how the Capitol started being manipulated into start liking and watching the games.
It was a great adaptation, the most faithful one since Catching Fire. Rachel Zegler is a great singer and a great actress. The songs are very important to the story, every song contains an important part of the movie ESPECIALLY the one she sings laying down by the lake.
People need to actually pay attention to what they're watching.
Sex Education: Episode 8 (2023)
The complainers didnt get it
Simply brilliant. The ending was totally unexpected, nothing went how we imagines it would go which made this ending totally be above average.
Not to mention so many important and serious things were discussed here. The series dropped their funny picture to aim towards something deeper, child trauma, depression, death etc.
To expected a so tight end like "did this work out?" "Do they get that job bla bla bla" is just something that SHOULDNT happen at teenage shows. They've obviously got so much to live on yet, giving them an end like their lives is over does not feel right.
Lovely what they did! As a Christian queer who also has a lot of straight friends and struggles with family relations, I could see a lot of myself in there and I hope other people did too.
Thor: Love and Thunder (2022)
Literally a big joke
Plot holes everywhere with thinhs that do not make sense. Empty story full of unecessary jokes to try to fill in the gaps.
Thor is a god for god's sake.. thor would never be this dumb as this movie makes him be.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022)
Good but not great
They sure could've explored more the multiverse, this movie had a huge potential.
Felt like this was Wanda's movie not Doctor Strange's. Visual effects were great tho and it sure gave us a horror movie vibe leaving the Marvel formula behind.
However, plot could've been better explored, this movie was too short and it could've gone deeper into many topics.
Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore (2022)
Average, a big disappointment
A lot in this movie simply does not make sense. The human being chosen for the task and he doesnt do anything. Dumbledore being chosen as a leader by that animal? C'mon! He literally killed his own sister and hid her for years.. dumbledore is far from being a good person, he's very manipulative and who's read the books knows it.
Dont even get me started on the final ceremony. Evil is taking his place as a supreme or something because they barely mention what the election was for, and newt simply gets to go up the stairs by himself with no soul whatsoever to stop him. Let alone the fact that at the ceremony with literally the most dangerous of wizards, anyone is allowed to speak and scream?? What the hell..
Vicenza Santos, so much potential, but what did she do the whole movie? She just had a simple line and we do know her plans for the wizarding world and what makes her so special and pure. Queenie does not do anything in this movie either, she just cries around and did nothing for both sides.
Overall a terrible movie.
Gossip Girl (2021)
Why
New gossip girl simply does not want to gossip? She simply takes orders and plays along with what the people want. Characters are bad and have no soul. It's a clear copy of Elite but in minors' version.
HBO needs to choose what they want, you either do a total kids' show or a 18+ one. They try to do both, threesomes and sexy plots with poor sex scenes and kids' conversarions.. everything is just bad overall why.
Don't Look Up (2021)
Below average
Acting is great so is the message the movie tries to show us. However, it is unnecessarily long and the jokes are far from funny. This movie is also confusing sometimes, too many things happening.
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021)
One of the best MCU solo movies and the best debut
This movie is amazing!! Scenes are incredibily beautiful, fighting scenes are bomb, acting is great, plot is great as well, even the casting overall was pretty good.
It was one of the best solo marvel movies and definetely the best marvel's debut so far.
The Tomorrow War (2021)
Not as bad as people are saying
I found it pretty entertaining. There are plenty of cliche and unnecessary scenes but action and plot are good.
Mission: Impossible II (2000)
Watchable
Great acting, good plot, terrible directing. A lot of cringe and lame scenes.
Captain Marvel (2019)
Love it
I dont get the haters since ant man 2 is clearly the worst MCU movie.
¿Quién Mató a Sara? (2021)
Horrible
Season 1 had some mistakes but I decided to let them go because the show was fun. Season 2 though it was horrible, garbage, things didnt make sense and most scenes were just lame.
Jupiter's Legacy (2021)
Good but could be better
One of the best CGIs I've ever seen but plot not so good. The story that happened in the past is much better and follows a natural order but the present story is confusing, we dont know clearly what villans want and we're not sure who is who and who is related to who.. the ending is quite bad as well and very disappointing.
It's quite sad because I saw a lot of potential but the way they focused on the story in the past made the present one quite rushed and confusing.
News of the World (2020)
Great story and acting
Storyline is very interesting and full of history! Acting was flawless especially from the little girl.
I just feel like the movir should have been smaller, no need for 2 hours of long scenes.
WandaVision (2021)
Why, marvel??
They really thought they were going places with this..
This is totally not what most marvel fans wanna see. This show is completely different, it is a real sitcom! No offense, I love sitcons but if I wanted them, I'd never want a marvel one..
What a shame! I thought it was gonna be like the leaked plots instead of this. Maybe it's my fault tho, from the beginning they were adversiting it as it is and I expected something else.
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina: Chapter Thirty-Six: At the Mountains of Madness (2020)
Wtf??
The only explanation for this horrible finale is that HBO is gonna renew it
