LOTR is without a doubt, the best movie I've ever seen. I don't care what the Academy says because without a doubt, it was the best film of 2001 (obviously... i said it was the best movie I've ever seen). It deserved the Academy Award 10 times more than A Beautiful Mind did. I mean look at the difference between ratings. LOTR: #3 ABM: #126 See a difference? LOTR will go on to be an unforgotten movie as what Star Wars is. In twenty years ABM won't even be on the top 250 list, while LOTR will still be in the top 50. SO LOTR fans just remember. Academy doesn't mean sh*t. Time says it all.

Most comedies are underrated, and this one is truly underrated. Robin Williams is a great comedian, as good as Steve Martin, and in this one he really pulls it off. I hate to admit this, but if I were in Robin Williams position I would of done the same thing. Though this is a comedy, it does have drama in it. It has extremely good character development. Robin Williams and Sally Fields steal the show. The kids all that great except for Mara Wilson. Really the only thing the other two did was smile or frown, and say "why can't dad be here?" But besides that it is a real good movie and it's a surprisingly long movie, which comedies are usually about an 1:45. This one was over two hours, but it's certainly one the best comedies made, and I forgot by how much I enjoyed this movie. It's worth more than a 6.4, more like 7.0-7.5/10 maybe on the top 250 even, but not the top 100. Anyway, this a great comedy and I give a 10/10. The final showdown in the restaurant is worth to watch the movie alone. It's hilarious and extremely well done. I applaud you Chris Columbus!

P.S. I know I rated, this movie 10/10, and I said it should have a 7.0-7.5?10, I meant for the average rating. Probably most of you figured that out, but some people were probably curious why I gave it too different ratings.

Yes, this certainly wasn't a bad movie as people have made it out to be. It's actually pretty good, but it doesn't qualify as a Home Alone. The movie still should of been made, but it should go as a Dennis the Menace. The old lady next door wouldn't be in it. They change her character to Mr. Wilson, and yes Waler Mathau would be playing him. He would still be alive in 97. My sympathy goes out to his family. He was truly a great comedian, especially in both Grumpy Old Men movies. But back to Home Alone 3. It was good, but from now on I'll call it Dennis the Menace 2. Rating 6/10. Why 6/10? Because of it being named as a home alone.

I don't know what's with everybody, but I think this a great Robin Williams flick, and is truly underrated. It's been a while since I last saw this film before today. When I watched the movie, I forgot how funny the movie was. I was rolling by how funny some of the gags made in this movie. It's definitely worth more than a 4.7. I really didn't see what was so bad about the movie. It's definitely worth it for your whole family to take a look at. It may not be the best comedy of 1997 (Liar Liar is. Hands down.), but it's definitely the best Disney comedy in a long time. It's also John Hughes best since Home Alone. John Hughes best of all is Save Ferris! (Ferris Bueller's Day Off). But anyways, if you want to see a good clean comedy, see Flubber, because I thought it was a very entertaining Disney flick (and I'm fourteen) so that's showing something that it's not just for kids. It can also be for teens and adults. A movie highly recommended! 10/10. But as for the average it's not a movie everyone will vote a ten. As the average, it desrves from 6.5-7.0/10. Not a 4.7.

though monsters inc was great, this was better and it was only 3 minutes long. i was laughing the whole time during these enjoyable three minutes and it's one the biggest reasons why i'm buying monsters inc. on dvd. 10/10

I know it's my second time writing a review on Lord of the Rings, but this isn't it particularly about Lord of the Rings. As some of you have read my last review (it was only posted yesterday, so the chances you did read it) you could tell just by my one line summary that I loved the movie. This year's academy competition for my guess will be Lord of the Rings vs. A Beautiful Mind. One of the nominees for both movies, which most of you know, is the best director award. Though I have not seen A Beautiful Mind, I would like to say that Peter Jackson should win for two main reasons. 1. He's a director that has not done a lot of movies and he has just created a masterpiece. And 2. Since he's a director who hasn't done many movies, it's very hard to make a movie that's going to be nominated for best picture which he has accomplished, but it's even harder for a a rookie director to make a masterpiece that is based on a book. Yeah Ron Howard is real good director, but many people aren't capable of making a masterpiece movie based on a masterpiece book trilogy. I know there's nothing any of you people can do about it, but I just felt that Peter Jackson is the one who I think truly deserves Best Director.

Though I had a comment on this movie before, I have to say again, that it was a disappointment and I would recommend this if you don't want to look into the world of stupidity. The only good thing really about the movie was that it had extremely good potential, but it really blew it. It's one of those movies where your phsyced about it, but when you it's blah... A lot of talent was wasted in the movie. It had a pretty good cast, not great, and a good modern comedian, Ben Stiller. Ben Stiller has done much better in his career. He was great in Keeping the Faith and Meet the Parents. I didn't see Something About Mary, but it sounds hilarious from what I here on this site. I'm guessing it is, because it's done by the Farrely Brothers who created the comedy which is destined or already is a comedy classic Dumb & Dumber. But anyways with Zoolander, it's disappointing. If you want to see a good comedy brought to you in 2001 see Rat Race. That was one of the most pleasantly surprising movies I've seen in a while too. Another pleasant surprise from 2001 was Legally Blonde. Zoolander is a disappointing surprise. Zoolander's rating which has lowered from my last review is now 3/10.

This movie from beginning to end was a very well made movie from beginning to end. Yes there was a love story, but this love story actually existed and it didn't interfere with the whole meaning of what actually happened like what Pearl Harbor mistakingly did (though I did like Pearl Harbor. But still this movie's title didn't trick you into really what the movie was about. So really if you think about it, if you want to see a movie that's accurate and well done about the Apollo 13 mission, I suggest seeing Apollo 13. The script was very well written, the acting was incredible, by Tom Hanks, Bill Paxton, Ed Harris, Gary Sinice, and the woman who portrayed Jim Lovell's wife. The movie was perfectly paced. They give you time to get what they're going to do on the Apollo 13 mission. They tell you everything that was important that was prior to the launch, happy and sad events. Tom Hanks truely desereved to be the winner for 1995's best actor, though I don't know who were the other contenders. But anyways, if you want to see a great historically accurate movie, Apollo 13 is definitely worth seeing, because it is truly about Apollo 13. Apollo 13 deserves a 13 and also deserves to be on the top 250 up in the 8.0 to 8.5. A MUST SEE MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For more than a year I have been a member of imdb.com. A few months later I found out that they have a top 250 list for the best movies of all time rated by the public. When I looked at the list, I saw The Godfather at No.1 which has always been highly praised. I always now check out the top 250 daily to see if that has changed. Results: It hasn't. But when the first movie of The Lord of the Rings trilogy came out, things were about to change. The Fellowship of the Rings came out whopping The Godfather out of first place with a 9.7 rating. Godfather's rating: 9.0. For quite a few weeks FOTR remained as the most highly rated movie of all time. But when I looked up again one day, it was at No.2 with a 9.1. Godfather with a 9.0. Anyway, I'm one of the first to say this, but I'm dissapointed that it's not No.1. It may not be the best movie of all time, but it does deserve to be no.1 a lot longer than it was on at no.1. But I have to say I'm actually debating whether it's my favorite movie of all time because when I came out of that theatre the first time, I kept saying to myself, "that movie is the grace of cinema." I mean who ever is says that this is a bad movie, what are you smoking? I can't think of one bad thing to say about this movie. I mean I would hate to admit this, but Tom Bombadil was a waste of three chapters and there was no reason why they should of had him in the movie. I mean he was just pointless. But let's get to the good stuff. Half the stuff in the background was cinematography not computer generation. Elijah Wood was mistakenly called Elijah when he was born. His real name should be well, Frodo Baggins. Sean Astin as Samwise Gamgee was also fantastic. Every actor and actress did very well. As for the movie itself it was great at very aspect, acting, plot, action, drama, happiness. The movie had it all. The action I have to say to is that it was much more suspenceful than the book. It was very well done especially the last battle sequence. The best acors as i say again were Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Ian Mckellan, and Viggo Mortenson. But as for the whole movie, it's one of the best movies I've ever seen. FOTR deserves a 10/10. And I'm really looking forward to the two sequels especially Return of the King, which right now is my personal favorite book. If FOTR is not nominated, I will lose all my respect for the academy. P.S: One of the best sword Mano e Mano's I ever seen in a movie at the end which is done by the leading orc and Strider (Aragorn) You wiill not be dissapointed with thus movie!!!!!!!!!

This movie is truly underrated. It's not the best of the series. I'll definitely tell you that, and it's definitely not the worse as so many people said. If it were my choice, I would say this is the second best. It's been said many times, I'll say it again, the original is the best one. The worse was Batman and Robin, horrible dialogue by Arnold Schwarcenneger (I don't how to spell his last name). Now with Batman Forever, you're totally dogging Jim Carrey. He had the best role in the movie, with Tommy-Lee Jones in 2nd place. Val Kilmer played the best Bruce Wayne, George Clooney couldn't do worth beans as Bruce Wayne or Batman, so Micheal Keaton is the best of the three. I found Jim Carrey in this movie hysterical, I would say he is the second best villain in the series. You can't top Jack Nicholson's outstanding performance as the Joker. The worse is a tie between Uma Therman and Arnold. I would definitely say to bring Burton and Keaton back for the prequel, that will be coming out this year or 2003. But Batman Forever is better than what people say, so I'll give an 8.5 out of ten. It's certainly deserves more than a 5.3. For the average rating it should be at a 6.1 at least.

These directors do not have much talent in the movie industry. It was total matrix wanna-be. You should definitely be ashamed of yourself. If you thought you could be the Matrix you're dead wrong, because this is no Matrix. If you look at it's ratings you could tell that it's no Matrix. The One rating: 5.4 stars. The Matrix: 8.5. Do you see a difference? I certainly do. I'll probably see the movie anyway just see how much of a rip off it is of the Matrix. P.S. The only thing in this world that can do Matrix moves are it's sequels. Never do the dodge bullet scene. It just shows that you don't have your own imagination.

This is one of the greatest movies I've seen this year, if not the best I've seen this year. It's a great adaption from the book, which was outstanding also. The movie had a great character developement, as well it had great special effects, plot, acting, and everything else you look for in a movie. The movie does live up to it's hype, which is unusual in the movie industry for the last quite a few years. Much to most of your people's and critics' dismay, I liked Pearl Harbor. So for me, Pearl Harbor also lived up to it's hype. But lets get to the Harry Potter issue. Daniel Radcliffe's portrayal of Harry was fantastic, along with his two best friends Hermoine (Emma Watson) and Ron (Rupert Grinn).

After reading other people's negative comments, (don't get me wrong, most of them were positive) they said it wasn't good because they left too much out from the book. Let's think about it here, shall we? Movies are suppose to be different from the book. It's been said a million times, NOT metaphorically speaking. Yes, the book is better, but just a tad better. I have to say this is the best adaption from book to movie since Jurassic Park. But for Jurassic Park, I'm currently reading the book which I'm enjoying thoroughly, although I actually like the movie a little more, so far. But if you haven't read the book of Harry Potter, read it, because it's one of the best books I ever read. My favorite book ever would have to be it's second outstanding sequel Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. So when you get the chance read the series of Harry Potter and read them in miracle order, otherwise you won't like them most likely.

The plot is the same from the book, so just figure that out for yourself. I also read a comment by a person who hated the movie. They said they didn't read the book before either. Once again, I say this. The book is different from the movie! When you get a chance to see this movie, see it. But read the book first. I hope you love the movie just as I did, because Chris Columbus did a fantastic job. Chris Columbus knew what he was doing when he took the job to do this phenonema. So one thing to tell you Chris, bring on #3 and #4. The first Harry gets a 10/10. Expect to here from me again after Chamber of Secrets, because my expectations are high. I also forgot to mention, that the quidditch scene and wizard's chess is awesome.

This is one of those movies that look like they're going to be one of the funniest movies you'll ever see, but it turns out that the preview was pretty much the whole movie. I mean it wasn't bad, but it wasn't good. It was disappointing. Ben Stiller has been in much better movies. Don't get me wrong it had it's good parts. Even with a 6.6 it's over rated. I tried to laugh, but I couldn't get the laugh out louds out of my body. This movie is the complete opposite of Rat Race. I didn't expect anything from Rat Race. It ended up being the funniest movie I've ever seen. In this movie the plot is something everyone has seen before, someone has been brained washed to kill a prime minister. Sound fimiliar??????????? I think we've seen something exactly like it, or have seen something close to it. We've probably seen it in a James Bond film, or The Jackal, etc. Oh yeah and we'll probably see it in an upcoming Mission Impossible film. But those movies weren't comedies. This movie attempts to be a competition with Austin Powers and I'll tell you, this is no Austin Powers. But I have to admit that I didn't care much for the first Austin Powers. I loved the sequel. My point is that, if they make a sequel to this, there is a chance it will be better. But Zoolander is one of those movies that you'll hate, not sure about it, or love it 'til the day you die. So go see it anyway if you want too. Besides it is only my opinion. You may love it.

I usually don't do this, but this is the second time to write a comment on this movie for me. The first review, I gave it a horrible rating and I'm not changing it. I didn't give enough detail in the first review. But come on people, does it deserve an 8.6 rating? Give me a break! It was such a bore! The plot was thinner than a sheet of paper. It was so dumb ad pointless. You've seen the same plots and similar ones in other movies and you trashed those. The 3 Ninja series is better than this. It's such a waste of time and money. This actually should actually be on the bottom 100 instead of the top 250. There is quite a few movies that can replace this for the 250 movies. For instance, Frequency should be on it and most definitely Jurassic Park should be on it. I just can't believe my eyes from what I'm reading by how many people like it. I'm not saying it should be No. 1 on the bottom 100, but it should be on there. I think that's all I have to say about this stinker. 1/10. I wish I could go to negative numbers!

Frequency is Dennis Quaids best movie I've seen. It has great acting, a good storyline, and good special effects. For instance, when they did the Northeren Lights, that's exactly what they look like. Jim Caviezel is extraordinary in this movie. I've never seen him in any other movies though. Currently this is in my top ten movies along with many others such as Jurassic Park, The Patriot, Rudy, Bad Boys, etc. But I'm here to talk about Frequency. Dennis Quaid was a firefighter in 1969. He eventually dies in a fire in 1969. For thirty years it haunted his son's life John O'Sullivan (Jim Caviezel). Almost thirty years from the day his father died, he discovers a radio that his dad used to talk on around the world (kind of like instant messaging, but you're not typing). John and his friend Gordo set it up to see if it still worked. It worked more than they thought it would. Later in the night, John hears a voice coming from the radio. Both people say wierd stuff to each other and they soon find out, there father and son. John was talking to his dad before he died thirty years ago. John discovers that he can change history with the radio and saves his dad from the fire that he died in. But things get worse. Because of John saving his dad his mother dies. In the movie you'll see why. I can't give it away. Overall this is a great movie and I strongly recommend it. It's a must see! Great story. Warning: You have to pay attention to the movie or you won't understand it. I had to watch the movie twice to get it right. One person also said before that they didn't like it because to much history was changed and John should of discovered what an acholoic mess he was. It wouldn't have been a movie, if it was like that. It would of been downright boring and there would have been no suspense. It was supposed to be that way. Frequency gets a 10/10.

There are many movies that come with a sequel that aren't nearly as good as the original. There are few exceptions to when it comes to the sequel being better than the original. For instance, after being in the Godfather Part II many people said it was better than the original. I haven't seen any of The Godfather's so I can't say which is better. Many people may hate for this, but I thought Mission: Impossible 2 was better than the original, although they were very different movies, so it was hard to be compared. Toy Story 2, I would have to say is the best sequel I've ever seen. It was better than the original for many reasons. It had a better story line, and it had better action too. There was much more adventure to it. Last, but not least, there were new characters also. There were many funny parts in this movie, especially with the cones. Buzz, I'm your father. I'm going to play catch with my dad. It was a riot, this movie. I can't believe it got an 8.4 rating too. It deserved it though. One person said, Some Like it Hot was better than this. I didn't see what was so funny about that movie.

The plot of this movie is simply this. Woody discovers that he is a very rare toy from the fifties who was a hot seller. The reason he knows is a rare toy is because he was "toynapped" by the owner of AL'S TOY BARN. The reason he was kidnapped is because, he was going to shipped off to a toy museum in Japan, with his round up Jesse and Stinky Pete and the donkey. The owner by the name of Al, will make big bucks for finding this rare toy. As soon as Buzz, Rex, Ham, and Slinky Dog, see that he is gone, they go for the rescue. Many things will happen in this all new adventure, which I will not tell you. See the movie for yourself.

Overall this an awesome movie, especially for Disney. It was much better than the original like I said before. Toy Story 2 deserves 10/10. I hope they come out with Toy story 3.

I've read many negative comments on this movie because it wasn't anything like the book. I haven't read the book, but I liked the movie. I thought it was a good follow-up to the original. It was definitely better than the third. I liked the third too, but it just had a weak dialogue and a weak story. Tea Leoni was just too annoying in the third. Maybe I wouldn't of liked this movie if I read the book though. See the reason I like the first one more is because it had a story, awesome action, and intensity. Hands down, the best scene in the Jurassic Park series is the kitchen scene with the raptors. The first one was a masterpiece. The first movie scared the wits out of me, so I had to leave the theatre. Give me a break, I was only five years old at the time. But let's get to the second movie. It had a plot, it had action, but predictable, so it wasn't as intense. The reason it was predictable, was because they knew that there was going to be an attack, because the dinosaurs weren't behind cages, they knew there were going to be many deaths in the movie because on the island, there were T-rex and velociraptors that were free. No matter how hard you try, nothing is going to beat JP. But, I also liked this movie because a lot people died, not that it is a good thing to have people die, but that's what you're looking for in a movie like this. Sequels usually geta bad wrap, and this was one of them. It was an underrated flick. If you want to see a bad sequel, you have to see Mortal Kombat 2. Many people thought this shouldn't have been made and the third one should of been the second one. I strongly disagree for many reasons. I liked the third one and all, but it didn't have to be made. I was rather disappointed in it, though it wasn't bad.. In my comment, on JP3, I said I gave it a 7/10, but I have to give it 5/10, because I forgot to mention the weak dialogue, and the horrible performance by Tea Leoni. This movie will get an 8/10.

Mission: Impossible is a great movie. It's hard to understand and you have to watch the beginning to understand the movie. The first time I saw was in theatres, which than I did not understand it. But recently, I watched it again. I stared at the screen for the whole two hours and made some improvement in understanding it. I'll have to watch many times before I have it down pat. Which I don't understand is why so many people complained about the second movie, M:I2. I thought the sequel was also a great movie. It was different in every way. The sequel was a movie with pure action, because it had a director that goes for a fast paced action movie, John Woo. M:I and M:I2 cannot be compared in anyway what so ever. They're both great movies in different ways. I liked M:I2 because of the action sequences, especially the motorcycle part, and the fight at the beach. Some of the martial arts that was performed by Tom Cruise was awesome, even though some of it is physically impossible. So if you want to see an action movie that's easy to understand, see M:I2. Now if you want to see a movie that has that has intensity, you'll want to see Mission Impossible. It's a movie that makes you think, and if you can figure out the whole movie in a quick amount of time, it means that you're good at paying attention. If you can figure out MI:2 in a quick amount of time, it means you're normal, because anybody can. The reason I think both movies are great is because they succeeded at what they we're aiming for. M:I had the intensity and the complex plot. M:I2 had the action and the great stunts (mountain climbing scene especially) and the easy plot. M:I was closer to the original show. M:I2 was more like a James Bond film. Mission Impossible for now gets a 9/10. I prefer action movies more. I also wrote a comment on the sequel.

This is a great movie. This is easily Culkin's best. Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern are brilliant and hilarious. In my opinion, this is next to Ferris Bueller's Day Off. What is great about this film is that it has great acting, a reasonable plot, although unrealistic. Some people have said that this movie was too violent. Hello, people! It wouldn't be a damn movie, if Culkin didn't use the traps. Get a clue!

Here is the plot. The McCallister's are going to Paris for their Christmas vacation. At the time their having dinner which is pizza, Kevin McCallister (Culkin) is angry because his brother ate his cheese pizza. Kevin starts throwing a temper tantrum and tackles his brother and makes a huge mess in the kitchen. Soon, he gets into an argument with his mother. He tells her that he never wants to see her again. The next morning, his wish miraculously comes true. After a while, his family is on the plane to Paris. Unfortunately for them, they find out when they're on the plane. At the time being, there are crooks that want to rob the neighborhood. These two people are played by Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern. It turns out that they want to rob Kevin's house for the silver doughnut. But Kevin is there which the bandits don't know. Kevin will do all he can to stop the bandits and get arrested.

Home Alone is a great movie. Home Alone 2 is a worthy sequel, but doesn't live up to this one. Home Alone 3 is okay, but could of been a lot better. They didn't have to name it part of the Home Alone series though. I own the first two movie and there both great to watch during the holidays. Home Alone gets a 10/10.

Before the first time I was going to watch this movie I thought it would be one of the dumbest movies ever made. Boy, I was wrong. This movie has some of the best one-liners I've ever heard and one of the best comedians of all time in my opinion. That would be the one and only Jim Carrey. Jim Carrey has the funniest hair style I have ever seen. This movie has a good plot too. It has a real detective plot, but it's the mystery of a missing dolphin. This movie is hilarious though.

The plot is basically this: Ace Ventura is detective for animals. He is very good at what he does. Meanwhile a rare dolphin is stolen during superbowl week. This dolphin by the name of Snowflake is the mascot for the Miami dolphins. Ace (Carrey) is hired to find the dolphin just in time for the superbowl. Other strange stuff happen during this time, but as you're watching this movie have a fun time laughing you're head off.

Ace Ventura will do some of the wackiest things to solve a mystery. I'm sure you'll have fun when he goes in to the mental institution. Ace Ventura gets 10/10. Already than, take care now bye bye than!

This has to be one of the best comedies of all time. Jim Carrey is outstanding for his role. They couldn't of chosen a better person to do the role. This movie has a hilarious plot, great acting, and a good set of main characters. Justin Cooper is good at playing his son, because his acting was credible as a son from my point of view. The plot is simply this. Max (Cooper) is having his 5th birthday. His dad (Carrey) always lies to him when he promises him something. It turns out that Jim Carrey, by the name of Fletcher Reede, turns out to be an attorney. He has three jobs being an attorney: To protect people's rights, try to win every case, and to tell the truth! Telling the truth is something he doesn't do successfully especially when it comes to his son, Max. When Max is celebrating his 5th birthday at his party he is crushed because his father didn't show up after he promised to show up. When his mother tells him to make a wish he says, "I wish just for one day that dad couldn't tell a lie." The wish miraculously comes true at 8:15 p.m. This is very bad for Fletcher because he has a very big case to work on and he has to lie so he can win the case. He'll soon discover that winning a case isn't as important as his son.

Anyways Liar Liar is a great movie and is a classic in my shelf. My favorite scenes would have to be the elevator scene, the blue pen, the scene of Mr. Allen's meeting and the bathroom scene. It's just one of the best comedies of all time. Liar Liar gets a 10/10.

I first saw this movie on 12/31/97. It's has to be one of the best comedy selections in my collection. Matthew Broderick is brilliant as Ferris. Alan Ruck plays a great part as Cameron. Ferris's girlfriend is attractive, no more than that. Jeannie is also hilarious. This is just a great movie. It has a simple plot. A high school student who wants to take the day off with his friends. One of the best parts is when Ferris gives pointers on how to fake a sickness. You start moaning and wailing and you bend over and you lick your palms. I know it sounds a bit childish and stupid, but than so is high school. LOL! Here's the plot. The movie takes place on a beautiful day, so Ferris decides to take the day off with his best firend Cameron (Ruck) and his girlfriend Sloane. Ferris tries to fake out his parents which he always does successfully and he fakes them out again. The only four people that know that he is not really sick is Sloane, Cameron, Jeannie, and the evil Mr. Rooney. Mr. Rooney would do anything to get Ferris caught. He tries to tell his parents, but neither of them believe him. While Mr. Rooney tries to get him, Ferris and his friends take a day down to Downtown, Chicago, where to have fun and stay away from getting caught. Not to mention they take a beautiful 1961 Ferrari 250 GT California. Less than 100 were made. That's one of my dream cars.

Anyway Ferris Bueller's Day Off is a great movie and hope they never make a sequel cause it would suck and would be to predictable. This one of John Hughes best. His other one would be Home Alone. This movie gets a 10/10.
