Saw IV (2007)

SAW IV might actually be the best and most intelligent of them all
27 October 2007
Warning: Spoilers
SAW IV in my opinion is the most intelligent of the Saw's. People don't seem to like it cuz they were expecting more, or differntly. It's a good think i went in with an open/clear/free mind and just let it come to me, rather than search for things. The twists are really genius when you really-really-really think about it. No it's not like 'oh my god!' after the twist of the first one, but this one makes you think long and hard long after it ends, and when you realize the beauty of it, it truly is the best twist(s) (spoiler:) And i hate how people say they predicted it...so your saying you knew that if Rigg entered the door, Eric's head would get smashed by giant ice blocks, and that the 4th was going on the same time as the 3rd...? OK, yeah. I dare you to watch all the movies again, and see the 4th in theatres again if your a hater, and then really judge it...it's a smart movie that makes people mad cuz they're not smart enough to accept the fact a sequel, let alone a 4th film in a franchise can be really excellent. Fantastic movie that has become my favorite. WOW!

The Crocodile Hunter (1996–2004)

Steve Irwin will live on in our hearts
8 September 2006
Steve Irwin: 'The Crocodile Hunter' has passed now. But this was a great show in which he entertained us with his humor as he educated us with his love and passion for animals. In this show he traveled all over the world, including my home state(Arizona), to explore the land and tell us about the animals that inhabit the area by getting close to them with physical contact. I started watching the show in 1999, and bought a shirt with him on it the following year at Universal Studios, CA. That's how big he was to me, the news of his death shocked my entire family. He had never been bitten by a poisonous snake...but a sting ray took it's toll. Steve was very passionate and enthusiastic. He was that way from when he woke up until he went to bed. The show will live on forever though.

Pokémon: Yuzu Gym! Type Battle 3 vs 3!! (1999)
Season 2, Episode 23

Misty's match is Ash
4 September 2006
This is one of the signature episodes of the series for me. It's definitely one of the top ten and perhaps the best ever. With my mind completely hung up on the hopeful relationship Ash and Misty should have in the series, this episode came along and proved everyone out of the water that these two really are destined for each other. This was something i had been starving for and it came. Misty saves Rudy's sister(he's the gym leader on the island) and he falls for her. This causes Ash to act jealous over it. This episode has one of the top three battles in the history of the show as type for type is matched up. When the last type battle(water) Starmie shocks us all as it uses it's thunder attack and Misty encourages Ash to do something. He does, and Rudy realizes Misty wants him instead. And then came my favorite quote in the series: Rudy- "You're a lucky guy, Ash." Ash-"What do you mean?" Rudy-"You'll find out some day."

Gotta see em all!
3 September 2006
If this show had been anything like it's first season for all 9+ seasons, it would be a perfect 10 show. But it's faded ever since Misty left in 2003, to be replaced by a boring girl named May and her annoying brother, Max. But this series is worth watching, in it's earlier years. It was clever and had different plots(unlike today's episodes-very repetitive). The show is better than most people give it credit. I recently have watched some of the old episodes i haven't seen since i was around the age of 10(i'm now 17) and i noticed the adult humor i never recognized before since i was so young. It has the potential to beat out some of the heavily favored sitcoms these days, no lying. I followed the show first for the pokemon, then i followed it for the interest of Ash and Misty getting together, when Misty left i became interested in the humor that ranks as one of the top 5 humor pleasures i can enjoy. Though they should cancel the show now as it's lost it's greatness, just maybe there's hope for the future by keeping it going.

Joey was good
3 September 2006
Joey was a good show. Sure it was no where near the level that Friends was on, but it deserves to continue on. The first season of Joey is suppose to be compared to the first season of Friends, but because no one treated it like that, the show was canceled. I was a follower, and watched every episode up to it's cancellation. Joey is the best character on Friends, and deserves spin-off rights. NBC didn't give Joey a chance. When season two came around, the season premiere said everything about what was to come. It was brilliantly written and very funny. The rest of the season was going in that same direction until the winter olympics came and caused the show to end, like that. It was definitely one of the top 10 sitcoms on the air.

Saw II (2005)

Oh yes...there was blood
3 September 2006
Warning: Spoilers
(insert evil clown laugh) Again going for a Halloween release like it's first film, Saw 2 had what i call classic scenes. The opening scene where the poor guy has to cut out his eye to get the key behind it to unlock his death mask in less than 60 seconds was definitely frightening. Scary Movie 4 found good jokes in parody-ing that part. The needle pit, the hand trap, the furnace were all fine and dandy, but i found interesting was the exploring of John's(Jigsaw) life. He actually liked him in this movie as i got to know him. Again this movie featured a surprise ending no one sees coming once again. Then there was the scene towards the end that was hard to watch when the muscle man has to cut off the back of his neck to get one of the numbers of the combination to the safe which holds the antidote to the poison that has been slowly killing him. If you liked the first movie you'll like this one and your fan-ism will grow more.

jigsaw puzzles will never be the same again
3 September 2006
Ah...this horror film marks the beginning of my favorite movie franchise of all time. No horror story comes close to this one as terrifying, besides the second and third installments. I remember seeing the preview for the movie in 2004: "Destined for the horror hall of fame." That would be the accurate term. I saw it on October 30th of 2004 and when i walked out i was still stunned from the awesome surprise ending. It, in my opinion is the best surprise ending ever. But back to the story: Two characters find them selves kidnapped and held hostage in a 'prehistoric bathroom.' They piece the pieces of the puzzle together to try and figure out whose done this to them. What they learn is shocking and pure evil. But the one responsible for their capture isn't doing it with the intention of them dying, he wants them to be grateful to be alive. I found my self hoping for a sequel and that wish came true twice, and from what i hear, a third time...

The first of 8+ poke'mon movies, started back in 99
3 September 2006
I saw this movie in November of 1999 when the show was flourishing quite well then. it was the most popular thing at the time. Even today the show is a significant part of my life. There were some quality humor in this film, such as the Minnesota Vikings bit. And even to this day i get a little misty eyed when the ending of the movie comes as the poke'mon's tears revive Ash in a dramatic scene of excellence. The movie also contains great songs, definitely my favorite movie soundtrack of all time. The animation was very fine, it was different than the television show. Anyone could enjoy this film. Overall this was the best poke'mon movie made, well after the second one anyways...

Ash proves himself to the world
3 September 2006
Excuse me if i sound a little choked up. But this movie symbolizes many things. It was the best poke'mon movie made, and it was the last worth wile poke'mon movie made. None is better when it comes to this film's greatness. It had everything i was looking for, including more. Being an AAML(Ash and Misty love) fan, i found it particularly enjoyable from that stand point. The biggest clues about this couple in the 9+ years of the franchise existence is right here in this movie. Of course at the time it was in it's second year of existence. It also contained dramatic twists, and memorable lines that stand out in all poke'mon fan's minds forever. No poke'mon experience comes as good as this movie.
