Prey (2022)
I wouldve paid to see it in theaters.
Best action and refreshing take on Predator. Idk why they didnt put in theaters. Maybe they thought people wouldnt go for casting but who cares who is in the film if the story sucks. This story is basic but to have the Predator face off before modern day weaponry is a fresh take !
Killing Eve: Hello, Losers (2022)
Season 4 should have been 3 episodes
The ending was okay, it was symbolic but I felt they just had to force the kiss on the last episode just because it was the last. Never really understood why they introduced new characters this season. If they didn't introduce new characters, they wouldn't know what to do for the first five episodes, so I guess. K's death was shocking so they got that going for them. But I think the positives in this season would have been added in season 3 without the need for a fourth season.
The Dropout: Heroes (2022)
The legal troubles start...
Most captivating episode so far with all of the deliberations of Schultz trying to protect his grandson and the WSJ vs. Theranos. Great performance from LisaGay Hamilton as Senior Editor Judith Baker!
Killing Eve: Oh Goodie, I'm the Winner (2022)
It only took 6 episodes for the season to really start.
After the first few episodes seeming to drag the hype train, we are finally getting a glimpse into the origin of the 12. Not sure what the point of Konstantin grooming a new killer especially towards the end of this series. Jodie Comer as always steals the show.
Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2022)
Great film to watch on a night in
If you wanna laugh. It is supposed to be a direct sequel from 1974 but it doesn't really feel that way, it feels like they're capitalizing on the rebooting of ild IPs like Halloween even though the legacy character is one to forget.
The King's Man (2021)
Tone is off
2/3 of the movie felt slow, but felt more like a King's Man film in the last part of it. Only in the beginning when they go to Russia felt like the past two movies.
Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021)
Bare Minimum
It was a complete movie with clear indications of a beginning, middle, and end. However, they skate by all of it under 100 minutes. I think they tried to cover the bases and to keep the audience from leaving the theater due to the very sensitive sound mixing. But stay tuned for a very worthy post credits scene!
The Many Saints of Newark (2021)
Supplemental watching if you watched Sopranos
It is a good watch for piecing together this and the series, but as a movie itself, it's bland.
Cry Macho (2021)
Western Gran Torino
More philosophical than action. The trailer is literally the first five minutes of the movie. And the kid reminded me of the kid in Gran Torino, can't act!
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021)
Stop complaining! Cap has always been political
I must admit that this series was better suited for an older audience than Wandavision as I noticed the first two eps started slow. However, it is for an older audience in that it tries to make you think about the roots and problems of American issues. People need stop complaining that the show was too political, but guess what, Cap America was created as propaganda to fight an actual villain. The world has gone complicated since then and show does it's best to navigate the audience through the issues whether uncomfortable or not.
Real Time with Bill Maher (2003)
Watching Bill since I was a kid
I've watched Bill for years now and find him the best commentator of our times. It is easy and popular to be the act that calls out the other side, but to call out your own side is what makes the show. He sees the b.s. no matter who it is and tells it like it is.
The Circus: Inside the Greatest Political Show on Earth (2016)
Trump made it interesting to watch
Like with other media that started during Trump, a lot of quality will go down with these shows now that he's gone. Turned off in the middle of season 5 when I noticed they started to force down on you which candidates are deserving of the spotlight but aren't necessarily that great to be the nominee.
The Queen's Gambit (2020)
Good quick binge miniseries
The story is good, Supporting characters are okay. Never thought chess could be so complicated but here we are. I thought some character relationships would go places but considering its only 7 episodes. They had to tie it up nicely. Well done netflix.
