The Wire (2002)
The best show to ever be on tv
There are only 3 shows that I can give 3 stars to. Those are Breaking Bad, Mr. Robot, and The Wire. The acting, the writing, and the world building is just phenomenal. Omar and Bubbles are some of the best characters I've seen on TV. This is the most fulfilling television experience you can have, and I couldn't recommend it enough.
Lovecraft Country: I Am. (2020)
It couldn't get anymore dumb than this.
Actually terrible episode. This is such a stupid episode and it is completely pointless.
Lovecraft Country: Holy Ghost (2020)
Getting better
I enjoyed the first episode but the second one was all over the place. This episode had a more clear cut story and was far more interesting. The sound direction in this show is terrible, which brings the rating down.
Community (2009)
The closest to perfect an NBC sitcom can get.
Community is a fantastic show. The hilarious cast of characters and Britta create a really fun show to binge. Their tributes to popular media are creative and funny at the same time. The only 2 things that bring this show down are season 4 and some of the first few episodes. Otherwise, the show is fantastic and I would recommend giving it a watch.
The Wire: Clarifications (2008)
Missing the point
People are upset at the anticlimactic death of Omar, but they are completely missing the point. Throughout the show, important characters such as Bodie have been killed in anticlimactic ways, and Omar is not different. His death shouldn't be stylized or fancy, death should never be pretty. It's sudden, it's shocking, and when you play the game like Omar, it can happen anytime. People who are mad missed the point of the episode and a major theme in the show, which is death is not pretty, and people who are in the streets rarely go peacefully.
