The Prince & Me (2004)
One of the best
I absolutely love this movie. It's very unrealistic, but it is a good cute fairy tale movie that just makes you feel good to watch. You can watch it and thing to yourself "Oh I wish that was me." in a eight year old girl thinking about prince charming kind of way.I just love the library scene. when they are playing 'footsy with there hands' as I like to call it. It takes me back to so many good memories from when I was younger. And in a way not to be "R" rated or anything but something about watching then two "In the stacks" just turned me on.
It's definitely one of the best, but if you aren't into girlie girl movies, it's not for you.
World Trade Center (2006)
This Movie was a let down
Okay, When I first saw previews for this movie about a year ago I was really looking forward to seeing it. My Husband however along with a lot of other people I know didn't because they said a tragedy like that was nothing to make a movie about. Well I wanted to see it with some expectations hoping that it would help out our country, I'll explain later, let me talk about the movie. This complaint is one of the least important, but I was expecting them to use film making technology to actually show the towers getting hit, instead of just a shadow right before that happens. I know that sounds bad, "Why would you want to see that again." I wanted them to show it to open peoples eyes and remember that day. Most people are trying to forget it, and a lot have. The only people I can understand that from is people that were in NYC that day and saw it. as for the rest of the country, Remembering what happened should help this country to stop being so cocky and not let our guard down. I think the thing that bothered me the most about the movie was that none of the police officers were notified that the second tower was hit. One guy heard it from his wife on the phone. On September 11 2001 I was a Sophomore in High School and within ten minutes after the first one was hit, our eyes were glued on the TV, and I know half of America was as well, everyone was watching and saw the second plane hit the second tower. It was hit long before thought officers in the movie even entered the building, Nobody notified them that the second plane hit? They were still asking over the Radio if something was going on with the second tower when the first one collapsed and they got trapped in the site an hour after the second hit. And to back it up a little bit, back when the first tower was hit, all they showed was a little shutter. Please, I wasn't there, but I'm pretty sure that there was more than that. Once they showed the collapse thats when I started liking it. Thats when she made it sad and something you could get into. Okay, now what I was hoping of this movie, that it would open up peoples hearts and remember what happened that day. It recognizes Every one of thoughts people that died that day. It remembers the families that lost there loved ones. I guarantee that they can't forget that day. And we are just supposed to forget it as if it never happened. Because it's hard for US to see it. I remember everything about that day and have total sympathy for everyone who lost there loved ones. Along with all thoughts, who are fighting for that day. any comments, e-mail me. davidorsarah @peoplepc.com
Mean Girls (2004)
I really like this movie
I really do like this movie. In so many ways it is so much like real life, but then in a lat of ways it isn't fully correct. Says a girl who is 21 years old and was in High School not too long ago. And I have a fifteen year old sister who I'm very close to, and we talk about everything. I like that they made the Plastics the most beautiful girls in school, and Every girl wants to look like them. You can try to hide it (Janis) but in reallity you'd pay a million bucks to look like them for a day. I hate it how they make it such a big deal to skinny. When I was in school there was a few girls who had a little meat on there bones that was the most popular and they were gorgeous. In fact it was the not so popular ones, like me, That were skinnier than the preps (Another name for plastics) and they were still worried about there weight. And the thing that bothers me so much is that in a way it makes teens look a little shallow. Yeah girls do always worry about what they look like, but they don't talk about just that. I've overheard a lot of conversations that the preps have had and they do care about other stuff that there looks and boys. They worry about their grades and sports and they care about their friends and family. It's more the Non-preps that care about what they look like. They see that the Preps are so pretty and thats what must be what makes them, them. So they get so wrapped up in looking like them. I did like how they pointed out that in High School there is a click for everyone, but it's not just like thoughts are the only people who you talk to. Each click sort of blends in with another. They preps and the Jocks hang out together, sometimes the burnouts and the preps hang out together. Another thing, The whole " Like " this and "Like " that don't happen anymore. They don't where skirts in High school, and Especially that short. 9/10 of every school in the US have a dress code, and short skirts are a no no. I do like the basic outline of the movie. You DO hate the girl who has your man. You do want revenge to anyone who does or says something to you, although in the present day, most do actually beat the crap out of each other. And one last thing, on the Talent Show scene, when they messed up, they would of gotten laughed at by all of the non-preps "Something bad finally happened to them!" They wouldn't have gotten help.
