Jack Frost 2: Revenge of the Mutant Killer Snowman (2000)
Oh Brother
Where to begin? This has got to be the most ridiculous film I have ever watched. Being a cheesy horror fan and a big proponent of the first movie, I decided to check this out when I saw it at my local video store. Boy was that a bad decision. It looks like they made this with 5 dollars. There's no gore, and some scenes flat out suck big time. Avoid at all costs, unless you're a masochist and like pain,

The Return of the Living Dead (1985)
Not the greatest
*MINOR SPOILERS*
Why does everyone say that this is the greatest zombie/cult classic of all time? After reading comments posted on this site, I expected a night of brutal good fun when I snatched this movie off the shelf at the local video store. To say I was dissappointed would be an understatement. The gore is almost non-existant, and the viewer doesn't connect with the characters at all, I wanted them to die. Couple this with the gayest ending I have ever seen, and you have one bad movie. I don't recommend it, but if you're bored and have nothing else to do on a Saturday night, I say try it. You might like it. Emphasis on the might.

From Hell (2001)
Dosen't live up to hype
*POSSIBLE SPOILERS
The movie, "From Hell" starring Johnny Depp and Heather Graham is about the investigations of a young detective (Johnny Depp) as he tries to track the infamous Jack the Ripper. Along the way he falls in love with a young prostitute (Heather Graham)who is one of the Ripper's targets and is torn between his commitment to the case and his desire to protect his sexed crazed lover.
There's only one thing that keeps me from recommending this film: it's strange plot. The film has characters running all over the place and in my humble opinion often dosen't explain why they're doing what they are. Especially that strange brotherhood crap we find out the Ripper belongs to. Another that vexes me is the fact that the film tries to get you to beleive that some old geezer is the one commiting these crimes. Correct me if I'm wrong, but we haven't ever figured out who the real Ripper was. We only have our assumptions. I'm not one to beleive that some fat elderly dude was killing all these hookers. Other than the that, the film wasn't to bad. The gore is on and the overall idea of the film is noble. It's just the confusing plot and that damn old geezer...

Double Impact (1991)
Great Action
*POSSIBLE SPOILERS*
This movie is action packed and a must for Van Damme or martial arts fans. In one of his better roles, Van Damme plays both Chad and Alex Wagner, twin brothers who were seperated during their parents murder when they were children. 25 years later the brothers are reunited and take revenge on their parent's killers. This movie has it all in terms of action, fist fighting, handguns, M-16's and shotguns. Mr. Zang's bodyguard, who Chad refers to as "That big Chinese ugly motherfucker" is very ruthless and a great bad guy. He should be in more films. My only gripe is that the sex scene didn't show more nudity! (Ha-Ha) I recommend it to all kung-fu movie fans.

Mil gritos tiene la noche (1982)
So-So
Pieces is a decent horror film for the producer's obviously low budget. It's not scary, so if you want horror look elsewhere. I like some of the murder scenes, but some parts of the movie are laugh out loud bad. None of the character's voices are dubbed in correctly, so you get somewhat of a Jackie Chan affect all through the movie. Would have been better if the film makers had more money.

Scary Movie 2 (2001)
To put it simply, this movie sucks
I'm going to keep this short and sweet, this is an absolutely terrible movie. It's unwitty, unfunny, and makes no sense. Avoid this movie at all costs. If you want some real comedy, watch the first one instead. - Jesse Bedell
Pearl Harbor (2001)
Excellent
I don't know why so many people put this film down. Have you no taste?
I found Pearl Harbor both action filled and touching, a romance set to the background of the planning and attack of Pearl Harbor. It's a touching film, and you really feel the American sailors fear and pain when the Harbor is obliterated. The best thing about the film is the musical score, composed by the talented Hans Zimmer. Truly touching and inspiring, a must see. *****/***** stars.
Leprechaun 5: In the Hood (2000)
What the hell?
First of all, what kind of a reject would even think making a film like this? Just the idea is ridiculous. The film is plagued by bad acting and has surprisingly little humor compared to it's predeccesors. The Leps's punchlines are boring and uncreative. I don't know what the producers were thinking coming out with this piece of trash. Ignore this one and watch the first one instead.
