Batman: The Animated Series: Two-Face: Part II (1992)
Men be looking at this and immediately say "hell yeah"
Truer words have never been said, as this two-parter not only includes the more mature nature of modern batman stories but outright sets them from then on, and you don't have to agree with me as the producers already set as much, I found myself actively rooting for Harvey and actually cared for whether or not he ended up redeeming himself, I never really saw two-face as being a compelling character to look into, specially since his popularity doesn't seem to reach the highs of other batman villains, I guess because he isn't batshit insane or has no superpowers.
As a first time viewer I'm looking forward to how the character gets to grow through the next episodes of the series.
Transformers Prime Beast Hunters: Predacons Rising (2013)
"Really? This is how it ends?"
First of all I must say I was a big fan of transformers prime, and was my introduction to the transformers series, I watched the animated and the Michael bay movies but they really couldn't catch me the way prime did, and after having to endure years upon years to finally get me a hbo max account I must say it was well worth the waiting, that said, this movie, as the ending of the beast hunters saga, was a disappointment, I don't know the behind the scenes of the production but you can tell it was not only rushed but it was gutted as well, the first half hour of the movie was not only on par with the series at its best but even managed to surpass it for a moment, but afterwards it quickly became clear there was a shift during the production of the movie, as at least one third of the entire runtime seems to have been taken away, and the writers seemingly had to panic and scramble ideas to tie up what's still left of the movie, ideas had to be abandoned, plot points scrapped and recycled and the ending had to be rushed, at the end, there was no beast hunting, no (alive) predacons rose up, and no epic battle between our three main players, with the ending being as close to a deus ex machina, even if it ultimately (kind of) made sense given the situation. It left me wondering what happened behind the scenes more than what happened on screen.
It was okay, you should watch it.
Star Trek: The Next Generation: Sub Rosa (1994)
I always try to watch star trek episodes with a sense of optimism but this...
Regardless of how bad an episode is going, i try to look at the positives, how could you improve the way the series is trying to tackle the themes and ideas it's going for and things like that, i noticed how most of the time an episode goes wrong it's because of poorly executed ideas, or just not thinking the ideas through, bad scripts do make it into the show, but this one I just couldn't...
You could have gotten away with it saying that Ronin (Why did they even name him Ronin?) Was controlling or manipulating Beverly (and her entire bloodline) into doing his bidding, as this would explain her unusual behavior and action, but her social behavior isn't unusual at all, it's as if it's coming out of her naturally, she isn't being controlled by an entity, she isn't being manipulated at all, she's been persuaded by an entity into a love relation that she knows has spanned through generations upon generations, and he's presumably been at it for the better part of 800 years, but then she suddenly decides it's not worth it because he's killing the people she cares about? I mean, don't get me wrong, i get it, but this only goes to not only reinforce, but confirm the idea that she's done all of this willingly, she abandoned everything just to get laid with a ghost for the rest of her days, without questioning anything about it
I really feel like I can't emphasize enough just how wrong or f'ed up everything seems to me in this episode.
Star Trek: The Next Generation: The Inner Light (1992)
I was ready to cry by the end
At first I thought it was going to be some cheap episode where the crew of the enterprise were going to just blast in and save picard from the evil aliens who did this to him, and by the end I was regretting going in with such low expectations. Truly one of the best episodes in star trek as a whole.
Star Trek: The Next Generation: Hollow Pursuits (1990)
Just an opinion on star trek and starfleet standards over the years
At that time, Barclay is be the odd one, the man who you just don't know how made it past the starfleet academy, and would probably be a case of studies for this kind of behavior. Meanwhile, in newer times, Barclay probably be the one of the best officers starfleet has to offer, hell, he would likely be captain of his own starship, and have been offered command of a brand new Enterprise iteration, and no one would say anything, because that's how things work now.
Star Trek: Discovery (2017)
Would rather watch TNG's shades of grey 42 times
Shouldn't be as bad as spending 42 episodes with this crew.
Star Trek: The Next Generation: Lonely Among Us (1987)
When the ship's computer is sus 😳😳
Couldn't resist, the episode is ok, they even killed the chief engineer of the starship USS Enterprise in engineering please forgive me.
Star Trek: The Next Generation: Shades of Gray (1989)
It's what it's, and it's not good, in fact, it's trash, avoid it if possible
Such a good premise, in theory capable of showing us the background and history for commander William Riker, one of the most important member of the crew who just so happened to reveal more of it a couple of episodes before, but in practise did nothing more than just... Well, nothing
Long story short, Riker and Geordi get down on a planet, off screen something bites Riker and is now taking control of his body, Dr Pulaski seems baffled at first, but manages to find how to stop the virus from killing Riker's brain, it's the power of emotions (well, more like the chemical reactions of these emotions) and they go through as many types of emotions as possible in order to find out that sadness is the one capable of stopping the... Something from taking over Riker, and so they manage to save him, the day's saved and everyone can now go home and live happily ever after.
The episode is stardard length for a TNG episode, that means that they made us sit through about 40 minutes of absolutely nothing. In order to pan out the length they made both Riker and us go through ALL of his emotions, BUT apparently the temporary memory loss was too severe, so we only get to experience all the things he's been through after he joined the enterprise, we get nothing more than a collage of old episodes, with Dr Pulaski and counselor Troop in between so that we may not notice that this is indeed just a collage of old episodes that adds nothing to the series, the episode just starts and ends, nothing in between but 40 minutes of filler.
White Chicks (2004)
One of the best movies ever
Or should I say... Most based?
Come on i don't care what you have to say, just get that racism thing out of here we're here to have a laugh.
A Haunted House (2013)
Really good movie actually
This film is actually really f*ing good, especially with friends, i actually want to see it again, shame most of the times it's only the sequel that's playing.
Epic Movie (2007)
Awesome, it's a must see
Best worst movie I've ever seen as a kid
I hate everyone who actually saw this.
God's Not Dead (2014)
They straight up murdered the professor
This is the literal ending of the movie
2 dudes in a car (probably some good christians we've seeing before with no context whatsoever) straight up drove over a man and escaped the scene, then, someone (i guess he may have been important to the movie idk haven't watched it in years, not even sure we saw who drove the man over) notices it and goes to...
Guess what
Get a confession out of him, not helping, just asking him if he believes in god,and apparently god only kept him alive just for h to say he believes in god, and right after that he just dies, and that's it, the boy gets the girl and everyone parties happily ever after.
Meet the Spartans (2008)
Perfect when you're either high or a 10yo
Maybe even both, and especially if you're watching it in spanish.
Kôdo Giasu: Hangyaku no Rurûshu (2006)
Unbelievably good
Man this is one of the best things I have ever seen, easily one of my best anything ever, if not the best.
I don't have any words to describe what I feel towards this series, specially it's ending, man it's just fantastic from start to finish
Also the series ended on R2, anything going further from R2's ending doesn't exist, and neither should any revisions to the story, it's perfect as it's
Black Lagoon (2006)
Someone, somewhere, undermined this
I believe I can speak positively about the series as a whole, but I come here to talk about how I feel after watching this
I really didn't liked how they ended the series, nor the last arc as a whole, i feel like they rushed the finale, and while I can't say anything about the original VN, i can only say they really tried to end this story fast with one final arc
"Someone, somewhere, undermined me"
Another Life (2019)
Why does this even exist?
Why would anyone think this is a good idea?
Are we being punished for our sins?
I can't help but wonder why
Just
Why
