A Kidnap (2022)
Low budget, riveting thriller.
I like to watch films like this in the eyes of someone who doesn't compare it to others and watches it as a stand alone film.
This was made on close to no budget therefore no amazing special effects or exquisite sound design.
But it is a riveting thriller that's intensive with good shots and acting. Simple and effective.
You can see this film is made with a lot of passions and the director is eager to see this film do well.
I'm exciting to see what is possible once the director has more of a budget to play with.
For a film like this having an intense 90 minutes that did not drag and was enjoyable is thoroughly impressive.
Utopia (2020)
Ignore the bad reviews!
I could see a lot of the reviews for this were comparing it to the U.K. version and that is why it's having some bad reviews, this can barely be compared to the UK version as they are massively different ! ignore the bad reviews and watch this and all I can say is to view it as a completely different series entirely so that you don't have any expectations for what it's going to be like.
It is brilliant, very gory funny at times with a good story and great acting it has its flaws but I am writing this so that people who read the reviews don't get discouraged. Just give it a chance even just watch the first episode and see what you think, you won't regret it!
