Walker: Independence (2022)
Surprised
I am honestly very surprised I liked this. I can quite put into words what makes this show different but I feel as thought the dynamic has changed on how the cw does their pilot shows. I really enjoyed it. The camera work, the acting, even the story line. I hope that this show sticks with it at this pace because I will most assuredly tune in to watch. I mean the plot sounded like every other western but for some reason I was totally into it! I can't wait to see where this show goes! Another thing to note is the music score. Its not the traditional western music/ melody of a western but it has modern elements in it and I really enjoyed that! I hope that this show succeeds because it came out with a bang.
Vampire Academy: the Officially Unofficial Fan Series (2016)
I'm very disappointed
Julie Plec, I have zero words. I honestly expected a lot of out you since Vampire Diaries. That show was a master piece but this.... I expected way more. The scenes are cut way to short to where there's zero dialogue and just a lot of music and it's also wayyy over the top for what a vampire show needs to be. I get that with vampire academy there is magic but I would have kept it simple like you did in vampire diaries. Even the movie felt more fluid than this. I felt like for anyone who is a first time watching the show, you should have never just thrown all the vocabulary in the first 30 seconds. Obviously I know the terminology but for people watching it for the first time would be super confused. I feel like you are trying to put a lot of stuff in 45 mins and it just ain't happening. This doesn't need to be fancy smancy just the basics. I get they are two completely different worlds and they are complex in their own right but I loved how simple Vampire diaries felt when I first saw it. There was no high end action sequences or choreographed fight training. I'm sorry but this just wasn't a hit. I wish you brought your eye from vampire diaries to this because then you would drawn in more people. I expected a lot but was ultimately disappointed. I'm sorry but no from me.
Partner Track (2022)
This made me miss Suits
Did anyone feel like when they watched this that all they wanted to do was rewatch suits instead? Well, that was me. I don't know why they tried to put the soapy and law together but it definitely was missing that mark. It was fun and entertaining for sure but too much soap for me to handle. Also, I felt like the actors were talking to fast in some instances so I had to rewind and really listen in on what was going on. I can tell that this show will probably also do the whole they together for an episode but break up the next episode and that's going to drive me nuts so I will probably pass on this soap but A for effort!!
The Adam Project (2022)
why is this getting bad reviews?
I absolutely loved this movie. Okay... yeah it reminds you of other sci-fi movies and it is extremely cheesy but its not trying to win an Oscar. This movie brings laughter, action, and emotion all in one fatal swoop. Just imagine... you got the chance to go back in time to your younger self. What would you say or do? Or see a loved one that had passed on. This movie teaches the valuable lesson of time. Time is a funny thing. We all think we have all the time in the world but we don't. This movie is a reminder that we all need to forgive the ones we are mad at. Although that angers seems justified in the moment, we truly don't know what the next day will bring or if that person will still be here. We need to love while we can because we don't have all the time in the world. We only have right now.
