The Handmaid's Tale: Unknown Caller (2019)
The tape
Good thing June got that tape to Luke explaining that the baby has no genetic ties to the Waterfords... Cuz that's going to come into play quickly when they try to take the baby from Luke.... And that's gonna piss those Waterfords off nicely
Game of Thrones: The Iron Throne (2019)
Can be summed up in a short paragraph
Jon showed he literally did in fact know nothing. Then they formed a democracy out of nowhere and elected the cripple as king. For some reason a Night's Watch is still necessary and away Jon goes....
At least they let Jon pet Ghost I guess? If that's enough to make the sheep love this episode then all I can do is shrug and say.... sure....
Shameless: Found (2019)
Somewhat shocked by all the 10's
I assume most people are reviewing the show immediately after it aired and typing mostly based on emotion because objectively (and after watching it twice) this episode was just a little better than "ok". In terms of a lot of what's on TV these days, "ok" Shameless is still better than most but this episode did not really have much to get excited about. Fiona's exit was rushed which somewhat had to be done based on them scrambling to re-write scripts, but in addition to being rushed, just wasn't handled in any way that felt satisfying. Her last exchange with Frank was just the same old stuff we'd heard throughout the entire series, visiting Ian in jail with him being like "GO, GO!" was overly convenient to the story... just felt flat to me
After going past the "meh" from the Fiona storyline, you get into all of the "B" storylines which have been bad all year, Kevin can last long in bed again, cool. Lip's baby-mommy is still on the ridiculous side of insane and he puts up with it, cool. Deb and Carl are pissed at Kelly who did absolutely nothing wrong, cool.
I absolutely love this show and have from the start, but this has been one hell of a bad stretch of episodes IMO
Shameless: Lost (2019)
Deb ruins the show lately
Maybe this is just me, but Deb's character has just been more annoying than funny or entertaining for far too long, and this episode just took it to yet another level. All of Gallaghers tend to be selfish and she's no exception, but her selfishness is just far dumber than any of the rest and it reaches a point of unbearable in this one yet again.
Love the show, hate Deb's character, and it's hard to stand any more
