The Midnight Club (2022)
Hard to believe Michael Flanagan did this...
I found Midnight Club to be quite disappointing. It lacks the captivating storytelling that I've come to expect from a Michael Flanagan show. The plot feels mundane and fails to engage the audience, leaving me uninterested and bored throughout.
One major letdown is the main character Ilonka. She's not only annoying but also poorly written. Her actions and dialogue come across as forced, and her presence adds nothing of value to the series. Instead of being a compelling character, she's a constant source of irritation, making it difficult to invest in the story.
Overall, Midnight Club feels like a departure from Flanagan's usual brilliance, delivering a lackluster and unenjoyable viewing experience.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023)
Meh
For me this is my least favorite MCU production ever. Can't say I hate it, but God knows I don't love it. It's so vanilla... when I think about Thanos first appearances it was magical and got me excited to see what was coming next.
I definitely can't say the same about Kang. This movie is so silly. I wonder why so many script choices were made that way... anyway, meh.

Once Upon a Time in... Hollywood (2019)
Just "meh"
Not much to say, but flat. Never going to see it again but if you want to dig into the 60's aesthetics, music, environment etc this shall be a great opportunity though.
The cast is amazing, but it's not enough when you don't have a nice script to follow. The storyline doesn't go anywhere and the final plot is completely nonsense. We don't need to be skeptical at all, but the way QT tried just didn't work.
I wonder if a anonymous writer and director produced and released this movie how the audience would respond. I guess we all know the answer to this and how Hollywood has its favorites no matter what.
