Akatsuki no Yona (2014)
Precious hidden gem
Do not underestimate this show like I did. Its amazing to see Yona go from a naive, innocent, sheltered girl to a courageous and fearless soul for the sake of her friends. After losing everything and having a taste of the bitter reality of the situation in the Kingdom, Yona finds meaning in the turn of events. From being protected, to proactive. Willing to learn and change to protect her friends and her Kingdom.
At first I thought it would be a cute, bubbly show. By the end of episode 1, the plot made a full turn and I enjoyed every minute of it. The soundtrack was soooo BEAUTIFUL !!! Also so much detail in the story (continues in the manga). A fantasy, adventure, with a handful of comic moments, sided with lots of feels. Love the relationship between Hak and Yona, and how they cherish other.
Truly, this story is so dear to my heart. I read the manga and was thrilled to find they made an anime of it, they might even make season 2 (hopefully😭 even though I know whats gonna happen lol). Im looking forward to it! Please!!!
// BTW // There's also an extra 3 episodes that you shouldn't miss!! (Akatsuki No Yona: sono se niwa or OVA)

STUNNING
This show will punch you in the heart, and play guitar with your heartstrings. Not your typical romance/melodrama. I clearly underestimated it. The acting is so accurate, authentic and genuine. I smiled like an idiot watching it. The mains are so comfortable around each other. Its a pure, sincere, bubbly relationship with a handful of comic and heartaching moments. The attention given to small details, like voice tone, unnoticeable body language, ambience, set , soundtrack, and cinematography, really paid off. The type of shows that makes you feel empty after finishing it. Highly recommended

POWERFUL & REFRESHING
This drama took me by surprise. Its very different from what Ive seen before. It reminds me of Sky Castle. This show is a satire criticism of society & capitalism. It denounces current issues and taboos such as; social injustice, inequality, competition, racism, ex-convicts, stigma and prejudice, white collar crimes, etc. Its a realistic, down to earth serie that shows the struggles of youth escalating the social ladder. Though the serious theme, it is pleasant and comic to watch. Very touching & inspiring. Solid plot, strong dialogue, great acting and chemistry, and beautiful soundtrack.
Highly recommended

PHENOMENAL
This has to be among the best thrillers out there. Elite show. Edge of your seat type of thriller with a handful of comic moments. Amazing show with beautiful scenery (Morocco & Portugal), savage action scenes, nerve wracking moments, heartwarming moments, and great lessons to be learned. Rewatched it countless times. Got my whole family and friends to watch it, NO KIDDING😂🙌 The story is amazing, the action scenes, cinematography, the visuals, special effects, CGI, acting, chemistry, scenery and soundtrack are all amazing. Fast enough pace with countless plot twists and feels. Also this show teaches you lots of lessons on trust, teamwork, family, hope and faith.
CANT WAIT FOR SEASON II
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

REFRESHING & COMFORTING
This show really hits differently. The story is very special and well delivered. Topics of mental health, trust, friendship and love are brought upon. I really love that we see the perspective of the world from an autistic person. This drama has heavy and heartaching scenes, but also comic, and is pleasant to watch. Solid plot, strong dialogue, exceptional cinematography and visuals, professional acting and great chemistry, and beautiful soundtrack.
Highly recommended show!

WOOOOOW!!
ITS AMAZING.
Very intense, edge of your seat type of thriller. I finished it in a day and its one of the best kdramas ive watched (not trying to be dramatic, ive watched most of them). The story is good by itself. Then on top of that, we've got great dialogue, fantastic cinematography, visuals, soundtrack and acting. Fast paced story thats exciting to watch. Always anticipating what will happen next. The story is very touching. It shows the consequence of labelling someone, and the psychological effects. Mental health, Family, Friendship, Trust, Teamwork are all themes touched in this thriller. Highly recommended. You wont be disappointed!

Good movie
Even though the story might seem predictable and recurrent, the movie was well delivered. The movie was enjoyable; the characters acting, cinematography, and action scenes were all great. The story has a great moral. Worth watching

Its alright
The story at core is great; the cinematography, the visuals, special effects, CGI, acting, outfits, scenery, and soundtrack are all great. However, the script is lacking. It could have been written better. The dialogues are plain and boring. The story feels dragged out. The action scenes are repetitive, they keep fast-forwarding in the future and
then going back to the past, I get its for dramatic effects, but it gets confusing and frustrating at some point. Its very slow paced and nothing much happens.Park shin hye doesnt get much screen time, she acts like a supporting character for Hyun Bin. To top that it has a disappointing ending. Feels like all the characters efforts have been for nothing

Started well, then crashed
This series could have been highly successful if it had been written and planned properly. The reason why this show got low ratings is mainly because of the writing. The story is all over the place. We jump from one thing to another without resolving the previous conflict. Some moments are sooo stretched out, only to fill up screen-time. Meaningless events that have nothing to do with the main plot take up half of the episode and the viewers are left hanging, waiting for something that will advance the plot to happen. The story doesn't flow well. It was rushed, very confusing, cliche, and cringey. The character of Aysen is very frustrating to watch. They portray Aysen as easy, impulsive, thoughtless, foolish girl that doesn't know how to express herself. I feel bad for the main actress, since its not her fault that the series failed, it's the writer's fault. Instead they blame it on the main actress, remove her from the show and replace her with another actress 2 episodes before the end? The only good thing I can say about this show is its heartwarming to watch. The family moments were funny and cute. The chemistry between the characters was nice, acted out well. The problem was the unfolding and ending of the story.
