Histeria! (1998)
Maybe I'm just easily amused..
It seems people have really mixed emotions about Histeria. I, for one, think it's a cute show and very, very amusing. I'm in high school and it's cool to see them talk about things I just learned in history classes on the show (plus it makes it seem like I was paying attention in class). We even get to watch the show in one of my classes. Even if some kids wouldn't quite get the humor of it, I think it's worth watching, else I wouldn't watch it everyday, Monday-Thursday.
The Lion King II: Simba's Pride (1998)
Simba's Pride turned Simba into a you-know-what
I suppose all things considered, Simba's Pride was a good movie. I consider myself a true die-hard Lion King fan and I was very anxious when this movie came out. And at first, I loved it.
However.. they made Simba a real hard arse. He's way too overprotective (okay, so he had it rough in the past, but this is ridiculous), Nala didn't really seem to care what happened to her daughter (and Nala had, what.. two lines?!?), Zazu's new voice is horrid, and they made the bad guys way too cool. Most Simba's Pride fans love Vitani (Zira and Scar's daughter), and many despise Kiara (she is rather irritating..)
You can't beat a classic, and Simba's Pride proves it. It is worth seeing, however, but don't get angry if it upsets you...
The Lion King (1994)
My favorite movie ever. Period.
First off, I'm going to have to say I completely disagree with everything "zetes" said. The meaning of the film is so much deeper than a child could really comprehend, the music is awesome (I own every Lion King-related CD I could get my paws on: The Lion King, Rhythm of the Pridelands, The Lion King on Broadway, Return to Pride Rock), and the animation is amazing. I've watched this movie so many times I've got it memorized, yet I still get goose bumps during "Circle of Life," I still get teary eyed when Mufasa dies, and I still want to roar along with Simba when he regains his kingdom. True, The Lion King is very similar to the stories of Kimba the White Lion, but that doesn't mean it's any less of a classic, and it's still my favorite.
