The Village (2004)
This movie should have had a lot of gore, to compensate for it's lame plot
Let me begin by telling you about the good things in this movie. For example, the photography and the locations were very good. Also...
Oh wait, that was all! This movie was really awful. What bothered my the most is that nothing of what happens in the first hour or so of the movie has any relevance to the end. The reason that it bothered me so much is that most of that hour was pretty boring too. There is no suspense, no interesting dialogs and the characters are flat and dull. In fact, hardly anything happens.
Normally movies with bad plot have a lot of gore in it to keep the people interested, but this movie has neither. I wouldn't recommend it.
2001: A Space Travesty (2000)
He's done better
I'm quite a fan of Mr. Nielsen. The 'Naked Gun' series are of course never-dying classics, 'Spy Hard' was hilarious and the more recent 'Wrongfully Accused' was a worthy addition to this great line of films. But now there's 'A Space Travesty', which was a great dissapointment starting from the first minute. Most of the jokes are just getting old and the film lacks a decent storyline. If it hadn't cost me money to rent it, I probably wouldn't have even finished it. I'm very sorry, but if this is the best our gray genius (yes, he really IS a genius :) ) can come up with nowadays then I'm afraid his days will be over very soon.
Cruel Intentions (1999)
Great movie, you even should go see it if you don't like Sarah Michelle Gellar and Reese Witherspoon ;)
This movie is evil. The story is quite good, unlike what's seen in most teen movies. All the actors translate their parts very well. If you liked it, you should go and see part 2 also, though it doesn't have the same actors and the story has got some cliché's in it, it's still worthwhile.
