The Empty Man (2020)
Starts off good
It started out as something interesting, something that can evolve into a good movie, later on it became too much like hereditary and midsommer, it was empty filler for the most part of the movie, and the ending revelation made no sense when it comes to movie we had just watched for 2 hours. It just is not that thought ought as it should've been, but it pretends like it is some sort of intelligent and new concept, it definitely isn't, if you don't care about your life being wasted away on useless B-list movies, go spend your time watching this, or maybe something Ben Shapiro made in his basement, I am sure some people can appreciate that.
Glass Onion (2022)
Death on the nile meets Marvel Universe
This was like a mixture of Death on the Nile with a Marvel twist to it, also some Primal fear sprinkled on top of that. Not as serious and as beautiful as the first one, not as action packed and not as intriguing, it definetely was a slow burner, but it still was pretty good. Edward Norton was great in his role as an uneducated philantropist/billionaire Miles Bron, and so was Daniel Craig as yet again another spy/investigator, Batista played his portion nicely and so did Janelle Monae, in fact she was AMAZING, the over the top ending was a big rough around the edges but overall a fun experience.
Uncharted (2022)
It did not do the game justice
It is a nice summer movie that you forget all about when you finish watching. Comparable to last year's "Jungle Cruise" with the added on Bromance between Wahlberg and Holland, nothing spectacular but an enjoyable watch.
Dune (2021)
A good opener to a series
Not going to lie I had my expectations lowered when I saw Zendaya and Timothy in it, needless to say it left me positively surprised, this is a good origin story.
The movies final grade will be determined when part 2 comes out, this barely scratched the surface of the world of Dune, literally.
Cruella (2021)
Not spectacular
A decent movie, somewhat predictable, somewhat emily in paris, somewhat Joker, but always super PC, Disney cant even make a good villain now, overall, good for wasting time.
The Martian (2015)
Interstellar got some competition
The Martian is a science fiction masterpiece, Matt Damon is one of a kind actor that really gave himself for this movie but the whole acting crew gave their part in this phenomenal one of a kind movie. I was immersed from the start because of the survival story and scenery and I don't remember a space movie that has kept me so interested for so long (besides Interstellar)
It also had many flaws such as translating emotions in the second part of the movie, the airlock system that does not really make any sense even for us ignorants, also I believe the movie would be a 10/10 if they had kept the China influence out of it and also the crew help, Matt Damon could have navigated to the Ares III and earth all by himself.
All in all, the movie is great.
Batman Returns (1992)
Hall of fame
The movie was great, I remember watching Batman as a child and the Penguin guy was so captivating and mesmerizing I just had to re watch the whole series again, Penguin guy will for ever be my first association when Batman is mentioned. This part does not showcase it was an extension of the the first movie in any way but it still had everything you expect in a DC and Batman movie, It had gore elements, Gotham city was amazingly dark and depressing as always and Catwoman is just a babe, so Batman Returns performed great, exceeded my expectations and really showcased Catwoman's grand entrance to the film industry.
Wrong Turn (2021)
Unbearable
As a fan of the series I must say I was terribly ashamed to watch this, Wrong turn had some great B-list horror movies for TV, this movie had nothing, script was so bad I wholeheartedly believe average kid in High School would have made a better and scarier home movie on his weekend vacation/picnic with classmates, the movie is just a terrible wreck.
Godzilla vs. Kong (2021)
6/10
One of the movies where the story gets complicated for no reason, and in the end goes nowhere. Horrible character development, only thing I liked are the special effects.
Coming 2 America (2021)
Coming of age tragedy
Complete disaster, poor attempt of comedy, romance and anything in between.
30 Monedas (2020)
It HAD great potential
Not going to lie, this show had a great story, great actors, great reasoning behind most of the things done by the actors, but in the end the whole story fell flat since it lacked consistency.
In critical moments the story just wondered off, the fantasy monsters were not logical, story wise nor physically, how come some bad guys are just overpowered and in the next situation they are less than mere mortals? it just does not add up, the ending was horrible, too many unanswered illogical moves, all in all, not great but not terrible either.
