Batman: The Long Halloween, Part Two (2021)
A great end to the mysterious storyline
Batman The Long Halloween, Part Two is the second instalment and direct sequel to the new batman in DC animated universe. As the first part the animation is done well and it's tone fits effortlessly into the detective theme. It arguably is much more packed in terms of story and characters. It does get a bit overwhelming and not to mention slight inconsistencies in the story. It however at no point feels boring and will at the end of the watch leave u satisfied as it's well rounded and tight. This is yet another a solid instalment in this franchise and easily a must watch.
Batman: The Long Halloween, Part One (2021)
Must watch
Based on the iconic comic book of the same name fans had long awaited a movie for the long Halloween because of how acclaimed the comic book is. The movie is set at a time when batman is still fairly new to the shtick and makes mistakes, certainly why people would enjoy this film as it's not a perfect batman making the plot predictable. I personally enjoyed the film thoroughly, the new animation style fits the theme of the movie perfectly, the chemistry between batman and catwoman is done nicely and the movie will certainly make u curb ur toes from the mid to the finale. It's a short movie and true to the source material.
Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021)
A masterpiece
This movie is everything that a DC fan would be hoping it is while wanting for it to come back.. It's a well rounded film and stays true the comic material and does new characters like cyborg and flash justice.. One thing I noticed in the previous film was how badly paced it was.. One moment cyborg was sad and the other moment he joined justice league and started making quirky jokes and just felt so incomplete.. In this movie however characters are given extreme care and attention making sure nothing is rushed, Yes the time is a lot a whopping 4 hour is too much personally for a single sitting but I wouldn't have it any other way since the slow pacing definitely sets the stakes higher and makes u curl your toes for the final battle.. The subtle scenes with Darkseid were perfect.. And by far the best thing would be how the makers realised DC being different from Marvel and the darkness in the film is its strength.. The apocalypse scenes where steppenwolf wins just set the tone perfectly.. I have little to no problems with this film however I will point out that I felt Batman was nerfed a bit and needed a little more light definitely, but other than that it's a must watch.
