Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County (2004)
Not a bad show, like people say it is
I enjoyed watching this show and can't wait for Season 4.
The reason is: it's fun to watch these kids mess around.
These kids are very different from the kids I grew up and went to school with. The kids on the show are not super-spoiled like people say they are. Comments like that are only stereotypes of what people have seen on The OC, which used to air on the FOX Network.
The kids on Laguna Beach actually conversate and act like normal kids who like to have fun, like to eat-out, get into boy/girl trouble, and look forward to parties. Sure, the kids are very good-looking and I think that might be why people consider them spoiled. It's well-known that good-looking people are constantly targeted as being mean, just for how they carry themselves. Reality is these kids live on the beach, where there is rarely am ambulance roaring its sirens.
The kids on the show are normal and no, they are not super mean or super spoiled. They are just confident and know how to carry themselves. Watch the show. It's rather funny at times and entertaining.
Vacancy (2007)
Great scare true to its horror/suspense genre
I liked this film very much. When it first started and it seemed to drag along, I thought that'd be it and that nothing else would become exciting. Also the creative use of credits in the main title was pretty silly, but the film was quite good. Kate Beckinsale was sure able to pull off a real bitch at the beginning of the film, but we then felt sympathy for her toward the end of the film, when she realizes she must work with Luke Wilson to survive, and she becomes more of a humble human-being. The suspense was surely well-used, as the killers would pop out and great sound effects would play along. The main villain was also well cast, since he really did seem freaky and weirdo-like. I would recommend this title to any teens going out to the movies in the weekend. "Vacancy" is a good scare.
Jurassic Park the Ride Trailer (1997)
Waterfall at the end is the only exciting part
During the summer, the cue line for this attraction is really long, since it is a water ride. It's very well-themed, but a lot of the ride's artifacts seem to be out of order. Overall, the ride is not worth it if you have to wait for almost 2 hrs. in line. The drop at the end is exciting, but the whole ride itself could have been better. Creators for Indiana Jones could have prob. helped these Hollywood designers. Also, many times the ride breaks down and causes even longer waiting periods for others. It's also very unpleasing when they only have one raft departing dock open and not the two, like they are supposed to. During Halloween Horror Nights, you ride in the dark, and it's exciting if it's your first time, but if it's not, then don't bother waiting in a four-hour line.
