Burakku Kurôbâ: Mahôtei no Ken (2023)
Gorgeous but rushed.
Animation was great. It is 95% action that never stops. But because of that the writing and story was meh. Story was rushed, and they dropped some exposition like they were expecting people to be introduced to the show through this movie. But in my opinion there wasn't enough exposition to really catch anyone new up to where they wouldn't still be confused. They show glimpses of all of the villain's backstories but it's never enough to actually know their motivation. Since everything is so rushed, it just makes the movie feel like a couple of episodes of filler, even though there's limits being surpassed.
On the same note, it's more Black Clover, so that's great.
FUBAR (2023)
It's fine, but it's not great.
This show has a problem with deciding whether it wants to mostly silly or mostly serious. This becomes a problem because the abrupt switches really pull you out of nearly every scene.
There are callbacks to nearly all of Arnold's most popular roles, but that is really the best part about the show. The story has little to offer, but you can point at the screen and say "aha" whenever those scenes come up. Best of which is Arnold saying "I love Danny Devito. He's so tiny, I want to put him in my pocket" (Twins).
All said and done, while this show is not horrible, I do not think it would make any sense for this to get a second season.
Tekken: Bloodline (2022)
Haven't played the games
The story is alright, definitely rushes through things that could use more attention. The biggest issue is the voice acting. I can't quite place it, but nearly every sentence is off. No one talks the way these characters do, English is even the main language so it's not a dubbing issue.
