This movie is absolutely amazing and heart-wrenching all at once. You find yourself simply unable to fathom how things get so ridiculous. The saving grace comes through in the notion that Sandy Dennis' Gwen is so "grounded" yet equally as incredulous as the audience, and her repeated cry, "Oh My God!" reminds us that, it's just one more adventure for her and her husband, masterfully played by Jack Lemmon. While the movie is "extremely" tame by today's standards, it could easily upset your "balance" for at least a day or two afterwards. Enjoy it with someone you love, so that you can hold each other afterwards, just in case you need to.

Much different than the original series, although certainly worth a look if you liked the original. Would have been better with Mr. Lucas, and maybe Mr. Harmond, but quite enjoyable none the less. Since the show has been off the air since 1993, one would expect they could make a reunion special of the cast, for which I'd certainly tune in.
