Every good marriage starts with an ultimatum...

This show is literally horrific and these people are remarkably shallow and stupid but for some reason I cannot stop watching. Also what the F is this whole concept? So toxic and cringe even if it's scripted there were some scenes that was hard to watch but then I remembered those people stirred the sh*t for themselves so then I was ok again.

Painfully cringe

Humanity is not perfect, I know. But why are we punished with these horrific musical episodes?? No one deserves this. Please stop!

Also almost all the actresses are so unhealthily thin. Give them some food damn it.

I've watched the show for the outfits

And that tells a lot. I haven't read the book so I started this with no expectations. The story and characters are quite similar to Sex and the city just less funny and not well-written. All the drama were quite unrealistic and sometimes annoying, you cannot really relate to any of the characters.

But! I truly enjoyed what the show could provide visually, the shots of Madrid and the outfits were stunning. It made me forget about the not so smart storyline.

Cringe in its best

It's not for everyone's taste but if someone likes weird and satiric humor, can enjoy cringe and slow-burn stories with layers then it would be one of the best from recent shows. Finally something different.

Acting and writing are on point too. After the utter Netflix nonsenses this show is like your first ice cream sundae after a year long diet with extra whipped cream.

We all saw this before

Warning: Spoilers
Despite of the big names this movie was quite a disappointment. The ending was ridiculous and every twist, you just saw them coming from the beginning. I'm not sure if it's a remake or something but the whole story is very unoriginal, it uses all the cliches of this genre and couldn't surprise you at any point of the movie. Amy Adams' character development is also written quite badly. Just makes no sense and very rushed. I think we can consider a movie bad when even these actors can't save it. I gave it 5 points because it's watchable but to be honest it doesn't worth your time. Sad. It's a missed opportunity. Spoiler coming: I wonder if there were anybody who hadn't realized from Ethan's first scene that he's gonna be the killer.. I think even a person who hasn't seen any movie before would realize it.

I guess it's better if you read the book or books?

It wasn't bad. After some of the recent Netflix series I would say it was decent. I really loved Alina and Mal's relationship it was really cute. Also Kaz and Inej and Jesper were a likable trio. The story is nothing new and as someone who knows literally nothing about the book there were some things that could have been explained more.

If you can forget about how dumb and unrealistic this story is, then it's quite enjoyable.

Now I understand people who make an account just to leave a review

Because I just did the same. How can Netflix ruin almost all of its movies even with good actors? The basic storyline of the movie is that we have bad person A who exploits old people to gain money. And then we have bad person B who is the head of the Russian mob. Bad person A messes with bad person B's mother and their cat and mouse game begins. Which basically means that they try to kill each other once and then become best buddies and business partners. And I just assessed all the happenings of the whole 2 hours. In 3 sentences. That says a lot. The characters are so cliched that I cannot even have the right words for it. They have no background, no character development, nothing, only some very superficial characteristics. You cannot root for anybody, you can root against them but you cannot even hate them enough to really root for that because they are that boring. And there is a twist at the end which supposed to give you something but the whole movie is so dumb that it only leaves you with my original question - how can Netflix screw up this much over and over again?
