Honestly, I hate movies that are all action and no story... most of the time. This movie and John Wick are the only two exceptions. So interesting, wow factor was off the charts, such cool vehicles... loved it. Good setting too, you could feel the dryness of the desert. Great action movie.

The Beatles: Get Back
(2021)
Made for us Beatles fans
16 January 2022
This documentary was incredible, and I loved every minute of it. Don't recommend unless you're a diehard fan of them though. It's a lot of just them working, doing their daily routine. That's what would make it boring and tedious for someone who isn't a huge Beatles fan, and that's what makes it so fun and fascinating for us fans. The scenes with Paul's daughter are my favourite.
Silence

Awful Message
16 December 2021
Even if you're not a Christian, this movie should disgust you. Teaches a terrible lesson about how people should be silent about what they believe in. It teaches people to not act on, and even to act against, what you believe in if it will keep you safe. Teaches selfishness and gutless-ness, and that you should be silent and not fight for what you believe in at all. Definitely Scorcese's worst film, and a shame that Garfield and Driver had to be involved with this mess.
On My Block
(2018–2021)
Makes for a solid binge
10 November 2021
On My Block is the most recent Netflix show I've binged, after Outer Banks and Stranger Things. Compared to those two, this show isn't great, but it has many redeeming qualities. It's reasonably funny, has a pretty interesting plot, and some fun characters. It's not a work of art, but it's fine. It feels a little weird how involved with a gang a bunch of high schoolers are. Like, it's a show where kids deal with very adult things, which is odd but it also makes the show unique and interesting.
The characters are fun. A little bit hard to get used to but once you hit the second season you're properly invested in them, and it makes the show a lot more enjoyable. Jamal is a great character, really really funny at times.
Overall, it makes for a decent binge. Definitely not a 10/10 but it's an ok show, not a lot to complain about.

American Psycho
(2000)
Not Memorable
6 November 2021
Warning: Spoilers
American Psycho was lame. Christian Bale had an AMAZING performance, but the story was just really try hard. Like, it was one of those movies where you have to try and discern what's real and what's in the psychotic guy's head, but just in a very basic meaningless way. The movie had no meaning really. The director and the writers had no clue what the ending even was. And sometimes that's good, when filmmakers leave things open ended even to themselves, but this one just get very try hard. Like they were trying to make Fight Club but with a serial killer. Overall, I don't recommend. Christian Bale was incredible, but it's just dumb. From what I've gathered, it's more a critique on the powerful Wall Street guys, but in my opinion if you want that watch The Big Short.
Step Brothers
(2008)
Gets too much hate
18 October 2021
A lot of these reviews are really harsh. This movie is a pretty decent comedy. Yeah the plot is paper thin, but that's definitely not the point of the movie. John C. Reilly and Will Ferrell are a great duo and it's got a lot of laughs. It doesn't run too long, which is perfect. Just overall a solid movie. 8/10.
Death Proof
(2007)
Made me feel like I was in the 70s
25 September 2021
This movie is quite the trip. It's hard to compare it to another movie because it's so different. It is meant to be a representation of grindhouse cinema of the 70s, so the story isn't really that great, it's supposed to be judged by the nostalgia it gives I guess. I didn't grow up in the 70s but wish I did, and it made me feel like I was in a seedy drive in theatre of LA back in the day. Really cool.
Django
(1966)
The best intro to spaghetti westerns!
1 September 2021
This movie is awesome! It's gritty and violent with a simple storyline and a badass hero, and one of the best soundtracks of any movie, period. And it's short enough to keep anyone enthralled the whole time. If you wanna introduce someone to the amazing world of Italian westerns, this is the movie to start with.
Goodfellas
(1990)
Masterpiece
15 August 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Scorsese is the king of telling true stories. I absolutely loved this movie, so well done, amazing storytelling, and a tremendous performance from every cast member. There isn't anything to be said about this movie that hasn't been said already. Watch it.
Léon: The Professional

I mean it was ok
19 July 2021
To be honest it didn't entertain me as much as I thought it would. Young Natalie Portman did a good acting job as well as Jean Reno, but they weren't spectacular per se. It simply wasn't super engaging or riveting. I guess the action sequences were cool and there were times when the movie was quite sweet and heartwarming, but the ending was like, meh. Not particularly sad or emotional. So I give it a 5 out of 10.
The Hitman's Bodyguard
(2017)
Good comedy movie
9 June 2021
If you wanna just relax and watch a something that will make you and your friends laugh, this is it. Nothing too clever, just an entertaining comedy. I liked the dynamic between Sam Jackson and Ryan Reynolds, they were pretty funny together. Solid, 7/10 movie. Not the funniest I've ever seen but it was ok.
