Ad Astra (2019)
Not a masterpiece, but fascinating nonetheless
Beautiful cinematography, decent pacing, stunning special effects, incredible acting. "Ad Astra" offers a highly enjoyable experience to fans of space-related horror, suspense and mystery.
The ending was, frankly, not as fulfilling as I expected. The movie started off decently, although after I finished it, I began to question whether some elements of the plot was really necessary to include or not. Absolutely zero effort was put into the characterization of Brad Pitt's character's wife and their relationship. At the beginning, the film builds suspense by indicating Pritt's character's father went insane after finding something terrifying in his search for extraterrestrial life, but most of the rest of the movie focuses on psychological father-son relations rather than the possible existence of otherworldly life forms.
Overall, a bit disappointing, but I thought this film deserved to be slightly higher rated than it is. 8/10.
Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011)
Really good
A very well-made introduction to the franchise and sets the mood for the subsequent sequels. The humanization of the apes are so good that you actually end up taking sides against your own species. The ending, although satisfying, leaves you wanting more. On top of that, this is a really clever allegory for an enslaved people achieving a national concsioussnes and revolting against their owners.
Of course, it has plot holes here and there and the ending may feel a bit abrupt. But the film has abundant action and has you sitting at the edge of your seat at many times. The pacing is incredible, it never makes you feel disengaged with the story. Overall, this is a very good action movie with well-thought characters that easily makes up for its cons using its pros. 8/10.
Red Notice (2021)
Wasn't expecting to hate it but...
I had a good feeling about this movie. But after the prison escape scene, the whole thing started going downhill and it hit rock bottom and it hit it FAST. This is the most useless and pathetic action movie I've seven for over months. I was expecting a fun but not meaningful movie with suspence but instead, I got this. Hours wasted. Not worth it.
Avengers: Infinity War (2018)
It's been almost one year
It's been nearly one year since I watched this movie. And I still haven't touched the End Game. Because no mater what Hollywood-ish happy ending the End Game has to offer, I don't want it. I want it to stay the way it ended in the Infinity War. Some of you may think this is weird, for someone to want a movie franchise like MCU to end this way. But I don't want to ruin the amazing cinema experience this movie offered to me. I don't think any Marvel movie ever made have offered this much entertainment, action and emotion at the same time.
Worth the time.
The Strangers: Prey at Night (2018)
What?
I gave up on horror movie industry after the guy was literally pointing a gun at the female killer who was standing less than a meter close to him, and he decided to drop the gun and run away. Literally. The killer is standing in front of him. He has a GUN. It is not empty or anything. And he drops it. (I guess.) And he runs. Away.
That's all I'll say.
Çöpçüler Krali (1977)
A quite impressive look at the daily lives of people of Istanbul
This movie is a quite well-made critisizm and research of the daily lives of people of Istanbul, and how the social status of a person doesn't affect their personality, how smart or kind they are or how much better they are than other members of a society.
Pride & Prejudice (2005)
Alright then!
While being ultimately meaningless, a movie of very low importance, and an ultimately boring two hours and nine minutes, Pride and Prejudice (2005), unlike other blockbuster romance/drama movies (for example, Titanic or Twilight), had actual, unsophisticated romance in it. Not a 7.8, obviously, but more like a 6.3 or 6.1 out of 10.
Kral Sakir (2016)
This here is a cult classic
A classic I tell you. So terribly stupid but so terribly funny at the same time. It is so horrendously ridicoulous but so horrendously good.
Max stupidity mixed with max comedy.
God's Not Dead (2014)
As a Muslim, I'm incredibly offended
The reason why Muslim people may get violent and reactionary is not because they are Muslim! It's because they are not properly educated, and they are ignorant, not because of Islam!
Plus, atheist people aren't jerks! They are just scientists and maybe a bit TOO realistic, and must I remind you that NO MUSLIM OR ATHEIST IN THIS WORLD HAS A BURNING DESIRE TO BECOME A CHRISTIAN. Stephen Hawking was an atheist! And he was nicer AND smarter than (probably) anyone who partaked in this film.
This movie does not only critisize and insult atheist people, but insults and "educates" every other people who has another religious belief than Christianity.
And take this: I THINK THE BIBLE IS AN ABSOLUTELY BEATIFUL MASTERPIECE OF A BOOK, AND IT WOULDN'T BE BAD IF SOME PEOPLE WOULD ACTUALLY *LISTEN* TO WHAT IT IS SAYING!
I respect Christianity, I just don't respect religiosity.
The Godfather (1972)
An amazing movie with a confusing plot
Some people say this movie is way to heavy handed, especially compared to today's movies and movies Gen Z people like.
As a Gen Z, I disagree. This was amazing and deep, I loved it. This movie definitely deserved the love it got.
A Talking Cat!?! (2013)
I am genuinely confused

-This movie was-
Goddamn I can't think of anything to say.
And the fact that this is getting good reviews...
I literally curled up to the darkest corner of my room, cried and continuesly asked myself what the heck is wrong with humanity and what could have we possibly done to anger God to the point of punishing us with this visual and audial hell.
I'm scared.
I need a vacation.
Hulk (2003)
Not dissapointing
I get why people would dislike this, there is not much action, compared to any other popular Marvel movie.
But I was getting tired of superhero movies with lots of action, destruction, and violence and drama. This is at least something original.
Fantastic Four (2015)
Don't get me wrong, I didn't like it.
It was a dull superhero movie, and it worths no more than five (5) stars out of ten (10). However, when compared to the other two (2) Fantastic 4 movies, which both are nothing more than a big load of cringe, this is a masterpiece.
Visual effects were not bad either.
7/10.
The Sand (2015)
At least they tried
I appreciate the effort to make a spooky movie.
But it is still terrible, cheap and doesn't make any sence.
1 out of 10 for quality but 2 out of 10 for the effort. To bad that the effort wasn't enough to make this movie good.
Lagaan: Once Upon a Time in India (2001)
I love Indian movies
This was such a wholesome, and a very entertaining movie! Indians are really joyful people and boy, they have some GOOD dance moves.
I love it!
Moana (2016)
Good enough
Good animation, amazing character design, good scenario, a visual feast, but the musics were a little bit off-place and low quality.
Ölümlü Dünya (2018)
Nice
I was literally weezing while whatching the movie!
I have nothing to add to this, except there are so many swear words and it's not for children under the age 10.
Cinayet Süsü (2019)
A fun movie to watch but something is missing
I don't know why but I feel like something is missing with this movie. It's an entartaining movie overall, but... I tink the right word to use here is anticlimactic, but I'm just not sure.
At least I laughed and that's what I expect from a good comedy movie. That is definitely not a family movie, I want to warn you about that.
