Killing Time (1998)
1/10
The feel of this movie is indifference, so unless you are realy bored or indifferent your self, pick a better movie.
12 March 2003
I am reminded of MARK TWAIN'S "litterary grievances of JAMES FENNIMORE-COOPER" (something like that)

The cover girl IS hot... However, the movie is not. The movie is exactly like just watching everything happen as it happens, the actors aren't that bad, but the film does not give the story any background or the characters any debth, just guns, fowl languagem, guns, and more fowl language. And oh yeah, they threw in some nudity, but like everything else in the movie, it didn't help out the plot.

People do not watch movies to feel indifferent. This movie blows!

Payback (I) (1999)

Sometimes PAYBACK is essential- as this bad-guy narration depicts.

Revenge meets stoicism: The WHOLE movie has the feel a well done detective crime novel/comic. ...Only now, it is the bad guy that comes out on top. What more can I say?

!-This is a must see.-!

The creators make use of various elements to realy do the plot justice. It is not another movie where "it would be better if only __ was different." The creators did a good job, and ended up with a great movie.

Great, A splendid cross of 12 MONKEYS and PAYBACK
16 November 2001
If you liked PAYBACK and 12 MONKEYS, you will love this film.

I have one thing to say about this film... Mel GIbson. He plays a paranoid, noble, apparent stalker, who has intelligence and wit,

but lacks ability to express himself fully. Can't say more because it might ruin the movie. CONSPIRACY THEORY IS A MUST SEE. It ranks in my top 25 category

If you dabble in this fire you will get burned. Utter perversity... vile carnage of life.

The perversity... the vile carnage of life. utter evil is depicted in this movie. 2:30 in the morning tears in eyes, nauseated, I unplugged the VCR. Walking outside, and unable to fathom what would drive a human to violate oneself in such a manner I vehemently puked under an old oak tree. I haven't finished the movie to this day. I am scarred for life. Do not take this statement lightly.

Character Max made a comment about the content displayed herein. He said that you can't dance with the devil because he won't change his tune... he will change you.

How true.

I plead with you to not watch this movie.

Armageddon (1998)
7/10
excellent flick, nothing more. Respect things for what they are not what they aren't.
19 August 2001
This movie is bashed by the connoisseurs of movie watching. No, it isn't a movie of greatness, but it is still the best of entertainment. I feel sorry for those too blind to understand art of simplicity. These connoisseurs are missing the point.

Armageddon is a flick. It is simple as that. It will stir up emotion, induce feelings. Feelings of pride, humor of humanity, grief of death and sacrifice, and joy of life.

This movie simply was moving, I can't think of the movie with out remembering the rush of feeling it induced; the pride, the humor in it's humanity, grief of death and sacrifice, and all wrapped up in light entertainment. It is a flick and in my opinion it is one of the best.

7.5 It is a flick and flicks don't get rated above 7.

Star Wars + Indiana Jones + Austin Powers = Fifth Element
19 August 2001
S K E T C H Y and O V E R THE H E A D

This movie seems to be more of an experiment than a great movie. And perhaps that is what makes it unique and worth watching. Picture the hybrid of Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and (double-YUCK) Austin powers. Think about it. Intrigued?

An ordinary guy with an extraordinary past meets up with the perfect girl and a priest of an ancient order, to defeat the essence of darkness intangible, set on a collision course for their world to destroy all life. All the characters in this movie fill in a niche resulting in defeating evil. Like life, the individuals do not work together, but in the end everything works out (or does it) in a way in which one would wonder could it have been done any other way. It seems that fate directs humanity (it's evils, lusts, carnage, greed, anger, and most of all innocence) too defeat evil as a whole, even though most are not working towards that goal, and even oblivious to the ramifications.

The problem with this movie is that the producers tried to cram in too many elements; comedy, action, love, thought provoking concepts, wacky spin, and Wild West type hero... Instead of being a top 10 movie with just a few elements, what resulted was a C movie in a class all it's own. Although, after watching it two nights in a row, I admit I am disappointed in how it turned out. It could have been in league with 12 Monkeys, yet it is worth watching despite it's bane just to try to understand the effort at genius.

Simple plot, carried out with taste, remarkably enter twined from different angles. Although it falls short of the mark, respect the effort at genius. Watch this movie of simple entertainment, good special effects, and a coy attitude between the lines that makes me think... (what the heck?!)

7.5 This mistake is much more enjoyable to watch than Hollywood dogma (not the movie, go look up dogma in the dictionary). I enjoy watching it to try and find it's potential.

understand and know... the grey matter of humanity.

I N T R I G U E understand and know... the grey matter of humanity.

It has been said that the line between genius and insanity is finer than a spider's web. Intrigued by that statement? Then watch this movie. It is deals with the art of the human psyche in a way that makes this movie all but human.

If you don't like pondering, or facing that which you can't know, ever... you don't deserve to watch this movie.

grey matter-(1)brain tissue responsible for memory and thought (2)not clear cut, elusive 9/10 the beauty of humanity is that we can't reach perfection.

Deep... a movie not just to watch, but to learn from.
19 August 2001
I R O N Y

Deep... a movie not just to watch, but to learn from. The camera points to not a black spot, but prejudice and self-righteousness tendencies of humanity. Likened to Joseph Conrad's book "Heart of Darkness", this movie finds it's beauty not in plot (in my opinion) but in it's essence. The message of this movie runs like poetry, and for my fellow Americans, history buffs, philosophers, and maybe even our veterans (thank you and God bless) this is a MUST SEE.

Many have noted that this movie is either liked or hated. Like wise there are two kinds of people in this world... those who see and reject it w/resentment, bitterness, denial... and those who accept allow themselves change
