The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch: In and Out (2023)
wormhole... always...
If something happens on any episode, something the people don't understand, their only conclusion is: wormhole... all invisible, nobody can see it. But the rockets they are firing almost in every episode will give data that they can't explain... so it has to be a wormhole.
Travis is the astrophysicist. He should be trying to see all the possible options but he is fixated on an area above the Triangle and he seems to be seems to be determined to fire as many rockets as possible, even if he gets weird readings, never the same, again and again.
I haven't seen any question answered on 4 seasons. They keep seeing flying objects but they haven't setup a device that can zoom 30X (like my little camera) and show a video with a better resolution.
Why nobody is digging anywhere in the Triangle is a mystery to me. There could be an object emitting radiation and affecting the area above the Triangle, but we will never know because nobody is digging.
The dramatic music and dramatic lines that every single person in the show are delivering doesn't make it much better. It looks rehearsed.
The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch: Who's Your Data (2023)
issues with the drones
If Travis was a scientist he would have made those drones to do the same exact operation 2 or 3 miles away.
All we know is something happened. As usual, blaming the electronics is the easy way out of any investigation.
So the drone company kept saying "we have never seen this before". What do you expect to hear from a company that is giving a service? Something like: "this happens all the time... means nothing"?
Each time Travis wants to make a dramatic statement he says "this could corroborate the presence of a wormhole".
Finally the company that use the Lidar come with something weird on the ground. It appears there will be digging on a future episode.
The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch: Over And Out Of This World (2023)
LIDAR is not used to detect airborne phenomenons
LIDAR is used to penetrate an area in the ground. Gets rid of soft materials like plants. It will uncover old monuments, walls, entire cities,... This entire episode did one thing: show some red dots on an image. To me, if I detected a phenomenon above the ground, I will start digging the ground and find whatever is there causing radiation or whatever it is all the way into the air. But people on this show are fixated on the effect and not the cause. Travis loves putting things on the air: rockets, drones, helicopters,... on s01e01 the security guy was against digging in the ground and that was it. They are avoiding digging as much as possible. Every person has an iPhone. When an iPhone with the broken glass malfunctioned nobody ask to see a 2nd phone. Really?
Also, why wasn't the Lidar installed below the helicopter? You need precision when using that equipment. Having it on someones hands feels like a horrible idea to me.
The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch: Photo Finish (2022)
nothing new in 3 seasons...
I could start a drinking game each time Travis Taylor says the word "Portal" but I will end drunk.
This show is discovering new effects that something is causing but they have no clue of what it is. They are focus on a space above the ranch, in the triangle area, and they are trying to find something there by launching all sorts of technologies to measure things.
There more excitement comes from tiny white lights they capture on film. Nobody ever questions that maybe some moving light on the ground could be causing a reflection. Nobody is checking for odorless gas coming from underground that could be causing health issues with a few people.
Taylor now seems to have a goal: make this show go on and on so he can have a salary. He is talking about going really slow so not to disturb whatever is under ground.
A rocket exploded at the moment of launching it. When commenting on this episode he said the rocket went up 9 feet and exploded. What I see is a rocket that exploded at the base and launched the rocket 9 feet up. He thinks "something" doesn't want the investigation to continue.
The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch: Closer Encounters (2022)
failed, half failed and they call it a success
So they launch an amazing huge rocket, with a bunch instruments.
It explodes.
So they launch a smaller one that veers off course and the typical theories start flying around: "there must be something in the air... a portal!!!".
Each time some instrument malfunctions the word "portal" is mentioned.
To me something buried somewhere could be causing all the problems with the equipment and health issues. But if the Dragon doesn't feel like it the digging will stop. The CEO comes once in a while and reinforces the theories already mentioned. They saw a tiny circular thing moving around, in and out... it must be something related to the secret.
They are also distracted with tunnels under ground. They saw smoke disappear so now they are digging to find what cause that. They tried to use a CAM and it went 1 feet (30cm) and didn't went further. Is it related to the Secret of Skinwalker Ranch? Who knows.
The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch: Above and Beyond Explanation (2022)
FAILED Testing and they want the people to believe the episode was great
They are trying to collect data with a bunch of probes, just like all the previous episodes, and they managed to recover just 2 and the data doesn't make sense and they keep repeating the same thing... "it could be a space portal". A lot of "that doesn't make sense" once again.
There is probably a lot of radioactive material buried around the ranch but "The Dragon" doesn't want anybody digging to far.
All the experiments are done in the air, trying to measure whatever it is affecting the area.
Apparently the cameras can't zoom in on a far away object. My SX700 HS PowerShot Canon can zoom a lot more.
That astrophysics guy knows about a lot of electronic devices but when something doesn't work his conclusion is always in favor of unnatural things and not about failed devices.
Lost Gold of the Aztecs: Explosive Discoveries (2022)
3 explorations, 0 finding treasure.
They found water, 3 possible new tunnels and a small chamber... why didn't they start to dig on those red areas right away? Why doesn't the camera at the end of the cable doesn't have a more powerful light? Led lights are really small and need low energy.
The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch: Shocking Revelations (2021)
no discoveries
They brought these Tesla coils and I'm sure is amazing to be live close to those coils when they are throwing all those electricity arches. But they are not discovering anything. There might be something underground shooting radiation to the entire area. They should be trying to pinpoint a location. Measuring waves is doing nothing to uncover any secret.
The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch: It Follows (2021)
NOTHING... no discoveries...
This show is all about:
-what is that?
-I have a weird lecture on this device.
-my phone is malfunctioning.
-I'm feeling dizzy
-don't dig
-lets dig but just a little bit.
And conclusions pull from pure imagination:
-there is something there
-something is following us
-look... a light...
all these episodes and they haven't found a single solution.
Now Travis Taylor is quoting the Bible... good lord.
The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch: Look, Up In The Sky (2021)
Men playing with big toys
I don't think I'm spoiling anything here.
I'm seeing grown men playing with rockets during the entire episode. Only 1 phone is checked for anomalies. What about all the other phones?
Only one man complains about skin issues. Could be anything.
Checking the video at the end something appears on the video... everybody is so excited. Sadly I think is just a optical illusion due to the rocket's bright light.
This show is not answering anything.
Everybody is afraid of digging holes in the ground.
I will be looking for a natural material that issues radiation or maybe some organization buried radioactive materials without permission.
The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch: Breaking Ground (2020)
If you want a show with no discoveries, this is your show
Every single episode is the same thing.
Somebody pulls a device to measure waves and everybody is surprise and nobody has a clue what the cause could be.
They will mention that a cell phone is acting weird. They show the phone and it has the glass broken, meaning that somebody dropped that phone to the floor, hard. My guess is that everybody has a phone. Why not put them side by side and see if the problem happens to all of them?
They will see a video frame and notice a blur spot. Everybody is puzzle. Nobody says "maybe a bug went by".
They play a dramatic music at certain points trying to inject drama on a new issue that is not dramatic at all. They run from here to there because somebody saw something they can't explain and there is no video evidence.
The security guy (aka "dragon") has forbid anybody from digging because something bad happened to somebody years ago. They all have to ask him for permission to make tiny holes.
9 episodes and no evidence about anything has been presented.
If you want a show with professional in it check "The Curse of Oak Island".
When I find out what the show was about and how professionals everybody is, I was hook.
The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch (2020)
I'm watching this show but can't handle the lack of clarity on their actions
I watched all the episodes so far but is not doing things properly.
The have no cameras with a string zoom so when there is something in the sky, all you can see are a few pixels. They all conclude is an UFO.
Travis Taylor seems to have a nice CV, and sure he can bring devices to measure things, but then keeps talking like an entertainer. Keeps trying to dramatize situations, arriving to simple conclusions.
Sadly, Travis is supposed to be main guy on the show.
He will probably be the reason I will stop watching this show.
True Detective (2014)
Season 3: Mahershala Ali can act
The season moves you through 4 or 5 different years brilliantly.
I didn't see the end coming even though I was thinking of 5 different endings. Just wait for it... wait for it... let the Season move you forward with the story.
The soundtrack is excellent. I recommend high quality headphones.
I watch the whole season on 3 different days. That helps because of the high amount of details you have to remember.
I know Mahershala Ali from hidden figures. I loved his character, even though was small, but he can act and move you to tears.
I'll keep watching every new season. The writing is brilliant.
The Conners (2018)
good show, the shows stands on its own
The reviews with 1 star are silly. People writing about missing Roseanne. There were some funny stuff but the write about the show not being funny at all. Roseanne was never all laughter. There was serious stuff too, just like The Conners. I'll keep watching the show until its very end.
Blade Runner 2049 (2017)
too slow
Is a long movie and for long periods of time nothing is going on.
every moves slowly.
Ana de Armas is gorgeous. That wake me up.
I think the movie was a build up for the moment when Harrison Ford shows up.
Me Before You (2016)
excellent performances
I had to see this movie because, you know, Emilia Clarke. I gave it a chance and by the end, I was crying along with her. She is totally adorable. I will date and marry her in a second. I love everything about her in this movie. Super convincing. I got the pain the Sam Claflin has and his own personal reasons. Nobody should decide for him. I wouldn't somebody deciding for me. I thought I knew how the movie was going to go based on old movies but that didn't matter at the end. Emilia can act and that is what I expect from an actor.
Lost Horizon (1973)
watched it 5 times in 10 days
I was 15 years old at the time, and I loved the message of the movie. There are some songs better than others, but the message is simple and so the music is simple. Why was this movie gone from circulation? I have no clue. There are blockbusters a lot worst than this movie. I'm giving it a 10 in context with the year when it was released. I thought was a beautiful movie.
The Champions (1968)
Great TV show
I was 10 years old when this show was on TV. By far it was my favorite. The actors were very credible. Alexandra Bastedo was just gorgeous.... I just order the DVD (15 episodes). They didn't have super-powers. They just had superior human skills (strength, hearing, sight). The 3 actors were very good in their rolls, very believable. There was a good story in each episode. At the time, there were no special effects or explosions everywhere, so the script was suppose to be good, and the characters performs were great. There was no fancy stuff, like in other shows. They didn't try to make a joke every 2 minutes to make a light show. I highly recommend this TV show to anybody that like good stuff.
