Kill Shot (2023)
2/10
Low-budget, independent garbage.
28 January 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Just another low budget independent film with all the actors being unknown or unheard of. Typically these types of films use the majority of their budget to hire 1 maybe 2 actors who have been in mainstream projects that prefer working in independent films... such as Bruce Willis, Nicholas Cage & etc. Most of the acting wasn't great, just cheesy or low quality. Any action sequence was lousy or didn't make sense.... the first thing that made this a bad movie was the female villain character shooting at a transport truck with a flame thrower back & forth while never touching the truck... why not just have her hide a pistol instead since the intent of her whole team was to kill the 2 occupants. The film relies on trying to bring folks to watch by having the female lead & villain characters being busty, preppy & slutty looking in us hoping that maybe one will show their tits or be fully naked. They both wear outfits that are skimpy and/or impractical to the environment/situations, yet never expose themselves. The first 5 minutes of the film your led to believe the military group is out in the middle east.. but then they cross paths with the 2 main characters who are hiking in MT?!?

Do without all the PC/social nonsense
9 October 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The film is almost a knockoff of Hot Tub Time Machine 2; Where someone(s) travel back in time to stop a killer. The film is mostly enjoyable but all the pc/social nonsense referenced by Shipka's character was unnecessary... you got her going off on a school Native American mascot being rascist, a jock being the door check guy letting certain folks in and he pushes her away and she has to go "unwanted touch, unwanted touch, her going off on the nerd being bullied by the jock, her criticizing P. E. dodgeball as being "illegal" because of its intensity... it makes me sad if PE in schools has become that delicate.

Annoying brat kid...
4 September 2023
Warning: Spoilers
For the most part its entertaining though few things that don't make logical sense. Cringing closeups of Nicole Kitmans botox face. The most annoying part that bugs me every time is the brat daughter. The parents are just deadbeats & enablers when it comes to any sort of parenting & discipline. I had behaved anything close that girl at that age my folks would of smacked me to start, along with other consequences. The brat destroyed the car she was driving that more than likely her parents paid for while irresponsibly driving & texting + kills her 3 friends that were passengers (where is the judicial system in this, she would be sent to prison) & she gets pregnant (when been told many times by her folks not to have sex).. all in the same week... and here's the real kicker: instead of her "parents" laying down the law they beg for forgiveness at lecturing her?!?!? I was dumbfounded at how the show wrote that. The things I got disciplined on with a ruler, belt or backhand is miniscule in comparison to the life altering consequences of this brat, yet god forbid we see one of the adults actually take action like a real parent with the gravity of those situations.

Another Lazy Hollywood Cash Grab
30 August 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Eh, just another lazy Hollywood cash grab film. Bringing back a couple of the nostalgia characters in order to help sell it. The writing isn't all that great... the plot is practically a doubleganger to the previous film: Indiana reluctantly gets dragged into another situation by someone close to him, someone gets held hostage by the antagonists forcing him to work with them, everything works out at the end... if your expecting realism this wouldn't be it. Here's some of the flaws: #1 a guy who looks almost 70 being psychically capable of doing alot of those action sequences (come on), #2 Even though the female lead gave the main villian a false city & he noticed while they were fleeing they were heading West instead of East he manages to arrive at the same city minutes after they arrived?! Not even including the fact that they blew up the bottom of the boat the villains were in in the middle of the ocean... or the fact that both parties are relying on small crafts to travel across hundreds of miles of ocean?... even on a full tank neither could feasibly make the distance. #3 The annoying brat teen has never flown a plane yet somehow knows how to hotwire a random plane but also knows all the aeronautical instruments within? Or even how to operate the yoke? #4 the female lead going over 40+MPH chasing parallel to an aircraft on a slick runway while driving a 2 wheel motorcycle while facing sheets of rain & wind... Where is the realism?!?! The motorcycle would slip... multiple times she's driving it 1 handed while trying to grab the planes landing gear.

Regressing>Progressing
22 August 2023
No character development. Even as an American its not heard to tell the writers just seem to recycle the same plot of each character in almost every episode... they do what they think is right and it doesn't go according to plan in the end; Tell me how many episodes doesn't have a character in that situation. The 2 kids of the main character I believe to be the most annoying part of the series, it gets worse as the seasons progress (S03 is really bad). It just seem like the writers pushed some stereotypical Gen Z's with the whole self-righteous activism, just to cater to the PC/social nonsense. The 3 sisters through all 3 season just seem to be in a dormant or regressive state in terms of character development. Just react the same way when something goes wrong and the actions they take hardly changes... 1 reacts psychotically, 1 regresses and shuns & the other overthinks it. The actress who played the Mother doesn't seem to be in S03 (as of S03E06).

Wasn't optimistic to start:
9 August 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Watched it at home a week after its theatre release. I didn't have high expectations after seeing the trailer. The meg franchise is becoming another one of those franchises similar to the Fast & Furious or Jurassic World' franchises where each sequel is just 1uping while the quality in the writing suffers. Less and less realism, void of logic or common sense as long as there's bigger and bigger antagonists & action sequences. Few issues I had were: #1 DJ character having a complete 180 on his personality... yeah he got some martial arts training & swimming lessons... that doesn't make his character changes from being afraid of everything to going complete soldier ready to kamikaze into action (similar to the Jonas character). #2 Doesn't seem like any of the few characters from the 1st film learned anything in regards to messing with these megalodons... lets build a gaint aquarium for 1 and train it to respond to a clicker (just as ridiculous as the Jurassic World raptors), what could go wrong... and all overseen by the same boss (mac). #3 an above average built guy (at best) being able to not only lift a chopper blade (200+ lbs) but able to support the added weight as its being upended & dragged by a megalodon that has the weight of 2-3 semis?!? I was disappointed that Ruby Rose or Li BingBing didn't make a return. The film is relying on bits of nostalgia from the 1st movie such as the pointless dog (pipin) having an appearance again. Only 3 of the actors from the 1st reappeared.

Another "real"ity tv show
17 July 2023
Warning: Spoilers
So much fake reactions and behavior. Alot of the dialogue is just filler. These episodes could be under 30 minutes if they cut out half the time being spent on the judges going off tangent over petty things that have little to no consequence on the contestants at the end. Every time a contestant got eliminated they would go stating some "end of the world" type dialogue while their emotions told us that was scripted bulls***. I do agree with alot of the other reviews over the Melissa judge needing to be kicked off... just so arrogant with petty or even contradicting critiques. The show can also do without the pointless host. Cut back on the contestants and their personal backstories/drama for sensationalized filler.

Unnecessary cash grab film.
13 July 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Within the first 10 minutes Hollywood has to push the PC/social nonsense multiple times with the anti-white person campaign; One moment such as when the male lead is trying to get a security guard job and has his interview cancelled due to a bad reference from his former military career. The hiree (white guy) states that he can't hire "somebody like him" due to "unreliability" & "not being a team player"... but of course its got to be twisted to cater to the movements by having the male lead go off on the interviewer with "somebody like me" & "you dont even know me"... trying to make it sound like its about race when the reason was already stated (cue eyeroll). Later on the guy desperate for money decides to steal a car with someone from the hood and right when hes about to drive off Hollywood has to push in virtues with him freezing up inside the parking garage going on stating "hes not a criminal"... perfect example of bad writing just to preach virtues, if he truly felt this way he wouldn't have gone up to his friend about "the heist" to begin with... the car ends up driving itself and he discovers its an autobot sharing the same personality as him (shocker, cue eyeroll). The quality in the animation looks cheap in comparison to the Lebouf & Walburg films.

Amateur film.
7 July 2023
Warning: Spoilers
An independent film with a bigger than most budget. #1 issue I have with this film was the music... the audio is drowning out the dialogue; Whoever was in charge of the audio effects seemed to be trying to be "creative".. at one point there was Christmas bells used. Besides the acting being subpar, this is suppose to be taking place in Afghanistan which is a desert landscape... not what looks like Sierra or Rocky Mountains... the film looks like it was filmed in California, Colorado or even Oregon. The film has the "militia" going between English and Arabic. I stopped watching after 25 minutes.

Cheap independent knockoff of The Meg.
6 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Bad: acting, camera work, cgi & dialogue. Things not making scientific sense. The Daughter in the 1st 30 minutes is nothing more than an annoying back-talking brat. The Father through most of the film is cliche with being some corporate supervisor who denies everything for the sake of profits.... get confronted about signing off on covering up the problems the rig is having yet which he goes on playing dumb to?!... 5 minutes later he has some epiphany (poorly made splicing of random generic clip videos of nature, urban Metropolitain & big oil refinery).. where he contrarily goes on how the corporation told him to do this or that.... yet he just claimed to his wife he didn't know?!?! The Son must have an extremely short memory because when the Mother & kids are having to get off the boat their riding on towards the rig, gets eaten by the shark right after; Few hours later he decides to take a wooden boat sculpture he found down into the water... guess what predictably happens next (cue eye roll). Daughter states to the Mother "Mom I think were being followed" yet in the previous scene they are quickly hurrying back to their vehicle that they discover the tires had been slashed... and everybody sees the same 4 "drunk" guys following them since the restaurant before it cuts to the next scene where the Daughter stated that stupid dialogue (another short term memory situation not even few minutes later??)... No point to the Aztec god & those mini sculptures other than to add some sort of mythical element to this garbage film.

Like so many other sentient AI films.
1 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Somewhat different concept but still the whole "dangers of an sentient AI robot".. pretty much a carbon copy of: I Robot, Chucky, Terminator, Eagle Eye & etc. The one thing that bugs me the most was the kid character; As the film progresses she starts to become more & more of a brat. Towards the end I wished her Aunt would of smacked her and/or told her to shape up. When it got to the point where the kid during her meltdown in a therapy session at her Aunts work takes a pen to try to stab at the therapist, then smacked her Aunt... all I can say is IF I had been that poorly raised at that age my folks would of teared my hide on top of other punishments from threatening a stranger with an object & assaulting a relative who's disciplining... if anything it just shows the results of parenting & discipline getting softer & lazier. Another thing that bugged me was a co-worker of the Aunt character starts going all "Karen" by butting/policing into the relationship between her and the kid versus relying on Megan.

Apart from the premise & former ghost crew, its just awful.
29 November 2022
Warning: Spoilers
HUGE lack of facts & realism throughout the film. Right off the bat there was a moment that wasn't historically accurate to the actual sinkage of the Titanic: FALSE: the film shows the ship sinking completely intact down to the ocean floor... FACT: The ship lost one of its smokestacks while sinking & split in 2 before impacting the ocean bed. This film for some reason has some obsession with "influencers"... the ship & captain treating 1 coupe that are "influencers" like some sort of elitists. The acting was over the time many times and certain moments where characters do complete one-eighties a second later.... just awful. The writing was obviously poor; Times where common sense & logic goes out the window. Some of the things constantly bugging me thoughout the film: #1 A ship that size wouldn't have that minimal amount of passengers & staff (wouldn't be profitable). #2 Artifacts from the actual Titanic would be in museums & possibly auctions... you wouldn't see them in a "retail" setting nor have an individual wearing the high value objects like everyday wear... on top of the fact that most materials would have deteriorated over time in the ocean (rust, bacteria, water damage) so the guy wearing that former ship captains ring wouldn't be in pristine condition. #3 Random passengers wouldn't be able to access the boiler rooms or the command deck. #4 All cruise ships go through an emergency drill with passengers at their designated life raft area before leaving port... so having that Asian chick at the end telling the captain "I don't know where to go" wouldn't be realistic. #5 The ships captain wouldn't be wearing something so down dressed revealing half her cleavage in that professional capacity... Is she suppose to be a ship captain or just playing dress up sexy one for Halloween??? #6 The ship was issuing mayday they wouldn't just rely on phones... just like the actual Titanic they would shoot flares & morse code. #7 The ghost of the former ship captain using the controls to crash Titanic III is completely unrealistic.. he should be absolutely clueless considering the fact that the computers shown/software would of been post-millennium.

Main character starts to get annoying halfway through
31 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Film starts off strong like a typical World War film; Once the main character gets trapped on the field with an enemy combatant that he stabs multiple times it starts to go downhill. The guy is left bleeding and choking on his own blood and the main character just starts getting all emotional and having a mental breakdown... what makes it worse is when he tries to save the guy before he does bleed out. Other situation where is emotions just flip all of a sudden which starts to contradict and just makes me think the issue is he doesn't think before doing something. If the film had been just like the first half my review would be greater.

After the first few it starts to go downhill..
21 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
First 3 episodes were great but after that it starts to become more filler with less substance. Episode 4 is when it started to go downhill for me.. the daughter starts to become this annoying entitled brat who never listens to her parents (lack of discipline) even going as far as calling the cops on her Father for confronting this 19 year old she was seeing and even goes further as making a video falsely claiming that her Father was being racist for punishing her for it; The Mother should of stepped in and smacked that brat for ruining not only her Fathers career but embarrassing both parents in that whole situation. Even after that Episode 5 is when logic disappears. The real-estate agent is a vulture hounding for the family to sell even when she sold them the house only weeks earlier?!? Only the main lead is the best actor in this project, handful of other familiar actors.

Lousy low budget knockoff of Tom Hank's Greyhound
11 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Few things wrong in this film that bugged me from enjoying it much. Most obvious was how they didn't bother making it accurate to the WWII era; such as: clothing, personal affects & even the crew members (like the fact that African-Americans weren't in command positions on naval ships which makes me suspect that it was added to cater to some pc/social nonsense). The film relies on 2 A-Listers to carry it but otherwise everyone else are nobodies. Certain visuals were good but others were just god awful; such as: when a fighter plane opens up on the u-boat the crew on the observation tower get shot at yet no bullet holes on the one shown. This is definitely a one and done film for myself.

Another Disney PC/Social nonsense project.
5 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Season 1 was alright; majorly watched for Bombay. Season 2 without Bombay is like "what's the point"... even a few of the kid actors from season 1 didn't return (jock who couldn't skate, nerd girl & African American kid who crashed into everything) which isn't all that surprising. IF all of season 2 ends up being just like the first 2 episodes of the new season there will not be a season 3. As usual Disney pushing a lot of the PC/social nonsense into another of their projects just to cater to PR. The Mother has gone from bad to worse in this new season.. a full blown delicate self-righteous push-overed by kids Karen. The kid who was the main character in season 1 is no longer the main in season 2; its starting to seem like his bf who did the podcasts in season 1 being heavily focused on in season 2 with his excessive & idiotic comic relief.

Brilliant yet stubbornly naive Vesper
3 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The whole concept and visuals were well done. Little substance of a plot... all this talk of a citadel that was only shown for 5 seconds. The whole movie is literally about a extremely smart teenager who acts like an adult (most of the time) and her Father that is a vegetable in bed that can only communicate through a floating drone. The premise isn't original though; another poor folks struggle to survive while the rich live in luxury. Did find the main character to be a bit annoying at times with her stubbornness when she is this teen who is so smart yet at times seems to lack common sense & logic... such as how many times was she giving her s*** of an Uncle chances of redemption??

Warning: Spoilers
Bad writing, dialogue & acting. Only the main character is the only good actor in this film... so many things that don't make any sense in this film such as: #1 All this gun fighting going on inside a U. S. hospital yet where is the security or law enforcement!?! #2 Certain hospital wings have staff in the hallways yet others are completely empty. #3 The scene involving the DEA agent who sounds like he's straining every time he speaks stating in the conference room that "their on foreign soil" when it comes to implications to extracting the main character Cain & later on stating that to the main character is in a Mexican hospital when on the phone with him... wtf! Their in Tuscan AZ!

Cheap independent knock off of The Transporter
21 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Bad writing, dialogue & no visual/lighting effects. #1 One part that bugged me was when the main character is talking to his wife and she explains how her Father died from a heart attack and the husband responds I didn't know that... how many married couples don't know the back story to their spouses parents; considering the fact that this married couple has been married long enough to have a high school aged kid. #2 The first gun fight scene is soooo bad. Guy is picking a lock and a car drives up shooting and the scene got poorly edited that it just shows the very end of the guy badly fake falling on his back, then a cutaway scene showing a henchman shooting at them from the side of a building for 2 seconds before showing the same guy who was shot while picking the door lock saddening walking with "the driver" back to the SUV and being shot at again.. WTF. All the times a gun gets shot there is no reflective lighting off of nearby objects. I stopped watching this cheap garbage after 20 minutes.

The tale of 2 attractive Gen Z idiots
9 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Thriller that will have you on the edge of your seat multiple times. Few things that bugged me though: The 2 girls pointlessly chasing away the 2 vultures, The 2 girls yelling on top of the tower to get the guy with the dog attention, Blonde girl so obsessed with social media that common sense & logic just goes out the window,1 girl pulling the other up the rope wouldn't be psychically possible, The 2 girls using the drone with the note to signal help also wouldn't of worked/unrealistic for 2 reasons....#1 the distance was too great that the drone would of lost signal & #2 the wind at 2000ft would of been too much that the drone would of been blown away, 3 days stranded on the tower they would of been sunburned after 1; not 3....... The film relies on 2 attractive women to help sell with the blonde having to look/act like some busty preppy pushover.

Why waste any money (no matter how little) to make this??
21 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Watched 30 minutes of this garbage before turning this off. Bad acting & dialogue. Certain times the dialogue just doesn't fit such as the lady introducing the guy she's with who owns the drilling company to the team at the astronomy tower after meteor fragments had just hit and everyone is giving status updates to one another.. she adds such things like his brother is stranded on the moon.. doesn't make sense to introduce him at the moment & TMI... time & place. If meteor fragments were hitting around them the astronomy tower would still take damage from kicked up rocks from the strikes & sonic boom.... another guy says "take cover" before a meteor hits where he is... a meteor would enter the atmosphere & make impact faster than a fighter jet.. no time to react. There wouldn't be any phone service if a meteor hit around them. The "General" in this movie looks like a Russian general instead of a supposed American general that he's playing... even his dialogue is contradicting of its self... stating that he wants nothing to do with the guy who owns the drilling company then ordering him to tell him everything that he knows about the incident!? The same lady and the guy who owns the drilling company are leaving the astronomy tower (after they had an argument about her staying put, then mutually agreeing to go together) not even 10 steps out the door and he tells her to "wait, go back" before they both continue on?!?!

Perfect example of how cheap, lazy & greedy Hollywood has become
15 June 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The Jurassic World series is just another example how cheap/lazy Hollywood is becoming. This last sequel felt very unimaginative when it comes to storyline & plot. At least a few moments of just bad writing and unrealistic situations/outcomes (if it were real). Few things that bugged me to list: the beginning involving the illegal dinosaur sanctuary that the 3 characters from the last film break into and their getaway van... they escape by breaking down an entrance gate yet how did they get the van inside to begin with?! The airplane scene involving the aerodactyl with the owen characer saying "is that another plane" (was in a trailer).. what aircraft in the world makes a sound similar to a bird squawking?! The African-American pilot with Owen being chased by the raptor like bird that can also swim; near the end of that scene the lady starts screaming while their running to the gate door which was an obvious throwback to Jurassic Park 1 and the kitchen scene involving the girl... but it ruins the contuinity of the character since throughout the rest of the film she is level-headed/fearless and doesn't panic once (scene with her plane being ripped apart, the flying on fire locusts, being chased by the more deadly version of the T-Rex & etc)... yet she screams over something lesser?! They obviously relied on the 3 original cast members of Jurassic Park to help sell even though I did enjoy the banter between Malcom & Grant. On top of the nostalgia from Jurassic Park which is where the lack of creativity comes in. Even things that don't make any logical sense such as a promise to a Raptor... its a predatory animal?!?! Locusts on fire yet flying around?! The final battle is just a copy-cat of Jurassic World 1 that is completely unrealistic... 3 predators.. it would be a 3-way fight, not some sort of "tag team" battle of 2vs1.

Gerald Butler finds his wife when logically law enforcement is all around you'd think they'd do a permitter sweep considering there looking for a missing person... before that Gerald Butler is just sitting on the ground up against a squad car, if law enforcement has been searching for him because of the "knuckles" character discovered in the trunk of Butlers vehicle you'd think Gerald Butler would be in handcuffs before the investigator arrived.
