Meteor: First Impact (2022)
HUH??? (Spoiler alert)
WHERE DID THE MOVIE GO??? It was a bad movie to begin with. Wooden acting (although to be honest, I actually liked a couple of the actors). Predictable obnoxious college student. Boss that won't listen. Yada, yada. Okay, I kept watching. My mistake. But then-POOF! The end. Say WHAT??? The movie just....ended. Nothing got resolved. Plot lines left dangling. I expected it to go right into a "part two", but it didn't. It took me a minute to realize it was just....over. Why do so many of these films lately have completely unsatisfying endings? It's like the writers decide they aren't interested in actually finishing the movie, and just mail it in as is. AVOID AT ALL COST. It's not even a movie that's so bad it's good. It's just plain NOT.
Meteor Moon (2020)
Dear God, WHY????
Let me say that in general, I LOVE Asylum movies. Yes, I'm the one. Guilty. So when I browsed for movies and saw who made this, I was thrilled to find one of their movies that I had not seen. I was painfully naive.
The acting, especially two of the women, was so overdone it was insane. Who told that one woman to open her mouth as wide as possible with every syllable? Annoying Orange's mouth was smaller. And he was infinitely more watchable.
Once I realized how hopeless it was to expect this movie to be "so bad it's good", I spent the rest of the movie with my mouth hanging open, and my hand over it, unable to comprehend what I was seeing.
There is no way to even begin to describe how abysmal this waste of film was. The last 15 minutes....well, I won't spoil it for you hardy souls who dare to attempt to watch this movie to the end. I probably couldn't put it into words anyway.
I gave it one star, because my daughter thought it was GREAT. She talked to the screen, yelled and cheered. I was much more amused watching her than watching anything on the screen.
For the love of all that's holy, avoid this movie.
Day of Reckoning (2016)
Seen better, seen worse
They kept referring to the previous event. I could actually swear I saw a movie years ago that was the prequel to this one. Maybe these cheesy sci-fi movies are all blending together.
I was so confused about the threat here! First there were the winged creatures. Got it. But then suddenly they added snake-like creatures, a sort of evil goat looking thing, and eventually these upright man type creatures! I guess they couldn't decide what monster they liked best, so they opted for ALL of them.
Predictable plot. Predictable ending. Good for making popcorn and spending time with my kid (who loves these movies-she does not have very discriminating taste. LOL!). To sum this movie up in one word: meh.
