Movie with a lot of heart !!
15 August 2007
This movie title was not the best because you judge it because of the title, or at least I did. My daughter wanted me to buy this movie for her for Xmas. I told her she was crazy. What mother wants to get a movie for their daughter that would be a mother's nightmare. My daughter ask me to trust her and get the movie. I did. We watched it together. It did not take long for me to relate to this movie on several areas. The Dad asking his daughter what she wanted for Xmas and then listen and not get her a bra was so sad. You could see he lost her for many years after that. The movie was filled with humor and very touching scenes. When the Dad has to leave his son was so sad. I cried. I love this movie. I own it. It is not giving up on your dreams and the struggle with relationships. We all can relate somewhere. I watch this movie when I miss my daughter. I learned to trust her a lot more after this movie. She wanted the book too. I had no problem with it. I recommend this movie to anyone. It is a real gem.

Mr. Rodgers grew on me
11 August 2007
I really do not know how your start loving someone you never met in person.I would watch his show on and off all through the years. I loved his trips to the factory they were my favorite. I loved his smile and the way he spoke to you like he cared. My parents raised me and my brother and sisters the best way they knew how, at the time, but they raised us like we were plants, Children are seen and not heard. Mr.Rodgers was different. It took me awhile to really know he was for real. I never knew someone that caring and concerned for kids. Through the years he never changed. He was genuine and truly cared for children. I always wanted him to update his puppet shows, they were boring to me. I tried to like it. Mr. Rodgers I'm sorry I was so hard on you. Thank you for being so loving and kind and for caring about US kids. Thank you for listening to us. For showing the world that we need kind words, loving words, instruction and fun things to do. We need someone to help us out in this world. You did a great job. Thank you for loving us.Thank your for caring about our feelings and views.Somehow, Mr Rodgers you grew on me. You made a difference in my life and heart. When you died I cried. It hurts to feel the loss of someone you love.I know I'll see you in Heaven Mr. Rodgers you knew the key, loving God means loving your neighbor. You remind me of Jesus how He liked kids too. You welcomed us just like He did. I love you Mr. Rodgers. You were a good and faithful servant. Much love and affection. I am 45 years old and I am proud to say I love Mr. Rodgers. I guess I was the one who changed.

This movie is going to be My #1 Christmas movie now and going to make it a must see every year.
31 December 2006
I saw this movie with my Church family the day it came out. My husband and daughter went too. My Husband, daughter and I all loved it. It touched my heart. You know how a couple of years ago they wanted Polar Express to be the movie that would be the next classic. Well, Polar Express was OK. I love Tom Hanks. The Nativity Story is the next Classic for me. It is the reason I celebrate Christmas. It's about what happened in the manager. The movie was good at letting you in to the way you think it was back in those Bible days. The hardships, the Roman rule. It was hard and you felt it. I loved the humor of the wise men. The bonding of hearts and purpose of Mary and Joseph and showing the hardships of the time. I cried several times during the movie. It was beautiful. I realized in a greater way How God in his great love sent us his best and awesome gift. The great mystery and wonder of all times. . I loved how God moved, not needing to impress us with all that glitter and fan fare.Jesus comes in a small and gentle way but powerful way. The importance of just walking by faith and trusting in God and leaving the results in His hands. The movie left me grateful humbled and in awe!! This movie glorifies God and it gives you HIS story. I will get this movie on DVD and see it over and over again. I am a person that tries to figure things out and the movie left me with the appreciation of faith and love for God. The mind just can't take in some things. There is no way any one could wrap there mind around How God would come in such a humble and simple way. This is The movie that will be for me The "new classic". This movie was full of heart, struggle, love and faith. Jesus is the reason for the season. A well done movie. Most excellent!!!!

The movie is good but not great.
30 December 2006
I saw this movie with my best friend and her grand daughter. It was good I liked it. I was looking forward to seeing the movie. I left a little disappointed.I felt like I should have seen something else. I should have waited to see it on DVD. When you go see a movie you want your monies worth. I'm sorry I was disappointed. It's a great family movie. I'm sure some younger kids will think its great. If you want to support a good clean family movie this is it. I just know that I want my monies worth. I think Julia Roberts does a swell job playing the spider. I hate spiders but by the end of the movie. You're won over Julia Roberts wins you over. I was any way. Oprah Winfrey lends her voice in it. Its's hard to not like Oprah. It would be funny to have her as intense like she was in the Color Purple. I think I heard Reba M. as a cow in the movie. At least I think so.Any way, I think the movie is good. We need good decent family movies now, more than ever.I did nod off a few times during the movie. It's not like it holds you to your seat with what is going to happen next. In this day and age you also have to consider what you really can see later on DVD and what is worth seeing and you just gotta see asap. This movie left me like I should have waited to see it on DVD.

I loved this movie!! It happened One Christmas.
28 December 2006
I saw this movie when I was 15 years old. I never forgot it. It has remained in my heart all these years. I forgot the name of the movie but not that Marlo Thomas was in it. I have been trying to get a copy of this movie now, that I know the name of the movie. It is a great movie. I have Its A Wonderful life and its good too. I just like It Happened One Christmas better. It touched my heart and got into my soul. Some movies do that to you and this one did it for me. I loved that it was in color. I love the modern version. I liked the switch of gender. I related to the struggle in the movie. I was going through a hard time in my life at the time and it gave me hope.It also made me realize that perhaps our lives are not only for ourselves but for others as well. This movie is a real jewel. You can watch it alone or with your family. One movie is not hard to find and the other should be made available so more people can decide for themselves. I wish It happened One Christmas to everyone. We are not all going to be moved by the same movie. This movie did it for me. If you want a copy of this movie I just found a great website for those hard to find movies. Go to www.myhouseoffilms.net/TVHOMEPAGE click on holiday movies. scroll down until you find the title of the movie,It Happened One Christmas. You can also try My Houseoffilms.net/ and contact Toni and give him the name of the movie you are looking for.

I can't wait to see the movie after all these years. I have only seen it the one time. The impact of It Happened One Christmas is profound to me. I want it in my collection, and so should anyone who wants it.
