Incredible Show w/ Some Realistic, Often Insufferable Characters
8 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Season 1, I don't know where to start. Performances are spot on, scenery sets the mood so well, and while often slow, the storyline keeps you hooked. My only qualm is so many of the characters we are meant to feel sorry for are insufferable. Maggie for instance is a pitiful excuse for a woman and Marty, her husband, for a man. One is a cheater and the other makes you understand why they are being cheated on. Rust's character is so very complex but ultimately he is just a man in pain who lost his daughter and believes humans have no purpose on this earth. I think it's actually quite incredible how due to his often lack of emotion and detachment from others helps him see and interpret things other people cannot. The wrap up in the last 12 minutes was a bit of a let down which is why I didn't give the show a 10. I think the writers really tried to get into existential theories but it fell flat. Overall Season 1 is great if you don't mind contemplating the reason for human existence every time Rust is on screen, lol.

Not All Bad But I've only just Begun
20 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Personally I like the series fairly well. However, I've only just begun my interest in Tolkien's Lord of the Rings. I watched all the films and loved them so I decided to give this series a try. I see a lot of hardcore fans that are not a fan of this show and I get it. Perhaps once I read the books I'll understand that hatred a little more. I think the CGI and cinematography is beautiful and many of the characters are pretty likable as well. My biggest issue was the Sauron storyline cause it made zero sense. They made the embodiment of him so ridiculous and to make him as if he could ever be a good guy is just ridiculous. Had that not been a part of the show I think I would've liked it even more. Give it a try if you're interested. You may end up loving it.

No one said that cheating was ok, y'all completely misread this film
11 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
When did anyone ever say cheating wasn't wrong in this film? I'm confused as to why people defend the antagonist so much seeing as she's been an awful friend from the beginning. Did we forget that she threw a surprise party for the protagonist out of selfishness when the protagonist didn't even want it, makes everything about herself, steals the man the protagonist clearly likes because she saw the opportunity, and cheated on her fiancé multiple times. No one is saying what the protagonist and fiancé did was right, but their wrongs don't make the antagonist suddenly morally sound. Why can't people just take the film as it is? It's supposed to be more realistic and have a difficult moral compass, that's the whole point! The main character develops from lying constantly about her feelings and allowing her best friend to take everything while she waits in the background to owning up to her mistakes and finally telling the truth. I don't know how this concept was so missed by so many people. I get it if you don't like the film cause you didn't like the story, characters, or acting but the moral plot? Seriously? There have been far worse moral plots than this one, so not a viable excuse. Just more virtue signaling.

So well done but there's a catch
22 October 2022
Gosh I love this show. Despite its unnecessary crudeness and gore, it's such a good show. I like to see the dark side of what it would be like if superheroes existed. I mean if you really think about it, superheroes wouldn't be heroes at all, they'd mostly be exactly like they are depicted in this show. I want to say this show is perfect despite the aforementioned but my gosh it get so political sometimes. I'm a moderate but even I can see that often they try to demoralize Christian's and conservatives, painting them as weak and brainless, falling easily for anything. It's funny cause that side says the exact same about the left. I hope there is a day where politics are no longer a central part of film, but at this point there is no hope. I just can't give it the 10/10 it deserves because of this.

Republican does not = alt-right
21 October 2022
If you're a conservative or even a moderate like me you're gonna roll your eyes at this the entire time. First episode is interesting and has nothing to do with politics. The rest of the series, not so much. It spends the majority of its screen time trying to make conservatives and republicans sound like crazy people who want to kill non-white people and are out to get you. This is nothing short of the propaganda that democrats want to pretend is pushed by the right, when in fact it always comes back to the left being behind it. I'm not even a conservative and I'm sick of seeing them be demonized for having some semblance of morals. Just know that the left is 100% out to ruin your life if you swing to the right and this sorry excuse for a web series is living proof. Netflix you are a joke.

Just a Softcore Porno
26 August 2022
Lol I didn't even see the film, but we all know these are just softcore porn films. Also I came for the comments and they are freaking hilarious! I love that IMDB allows anyone to post their opinion, so entertaining!

The Dirt (2019)
7/10
As expected
14 July 2022
The Dirt delivers exactly what we already knew, Mötley Crue were a bunch of idiot d-bags who made great music. I enjoyed how much the film really pushed the idea that these guys were awful people, because they were, but makes no apologies about it. We don't need a sob story about a bunch of sad sack musicians who got addicted to sex, drugs, and rock n roll. The Dirt provides the right amount of heart that makes you feel just enough for the band members, but also leaves room to realize the plain truth, they are all idiots. It's great fun and I recommend for anyone who enjoys the band.

Pretty Good but the Animals???
7 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
It's honestly a solid storyline but why are all the animals CGI? Like even in shots where no one is around they are still CGI. Was this so low budget they couldn't afford to pay for a couple shots of real tigers? I feel like if they had paid for real animals in most of the show then this would not be so distracting and the show would be really solid. Luckily the main actors gave a great performance so I still give it a 7/10.

Fun but nothing Special
4 March 2022
Overdrive is a pretty fun movie, decent car action, ok characters. Overall it's not an awful movie to watch when you have nothing to do, but it is lacking in substance. The storyline is somewhat interesting but leaves a lot of plot holes. I wouldn't not recommend it but I also guess I would recowarn it. It's not the best film out there but there is far worse. I only watched it for Ana De Armas and she didn't disappoint, Scott Eastwood is pretty good and everyone else plays a decent part as well. Not disappointing but nothing to brag about.

Frustrating
3 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
When I say this film's moral compass is the most frustrating thing I've ever watched in my life. Basically these two characters start watching people from their windows and it gets to be an incredibly sexual dynamic. Sydney Sweeney's character befriends the woman she's been watching, ends up telling her that her husband is cheating on her with proof, and the woman sadly kills herself. The moral compass here is so confusing because everyone seems to be doing things that are wrong but the one right thing that is done is treated as if it's the worst thing that could've been done. So in this film what's right is wrong and wrong is just ok. It's shot beautifully but if you have any morality this is gonna be hard to watch.

Decent RomCom, but don't expect much
23 February 2022
A decent romcom. But to be honest, I give a 6 to any film that I wouldn't hate watching again. There wasn't a lot of chemistry between the main actors which was disappointing, however, the plot of the film was fairly enjoyable to watch. Lopez just doesn't seem to have the flair that she used to, Wilson is pretty much the same as always. Pretty predictable, but still enjoyable. I recommend if you're ever bored and can't find anything to watch, you might not regret this one. Don't expect a lot though.

Much better than its predecessor
6 September 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I caught myself smiling throughout most of the movie. King shark was a fun addition, Rick Flag was solid, Harley Quinn always a joy to watch, Rat Catcher 2 was a lovely way to add some empathy, and my personal favorite, Blood Sport, was fantastic. Cant forget polka dot man, who was also a surprisingly delightful part of the film as well. If you enjoy campy gore + a splash of heroism I recommend you at least try the movie. DCEU hasn't gotten a lot of recognition as of late, but this movie deserves to shine. My only issue with the film was John Cena as Peacemaker, who wasn't terrible, just played him as a really boring member of the team and his switch up at the end was far from shocking.
