Vengeance Unlimited (1998–1999)
I love it!

I really enjoyed this show. It's all about justice and doing the right thing. I loved how Chapel managed to punish the bad guys with a sophisticated scam. He made them go crazy and incriminated them in something they hadn't really done- all to make sure they don't go unpunished from the horrible things they have really done. I like Chapel's character- he has a unique sense of humor, he's a bit cocky and sure of himself, very cunning and truly cares about the wrongs in the world. His goal is to fight evil and injustice and in his own words:" We live in a world, you and I, where people can kill someone and get a book deal out of it because they hire the right lawyer, or they get an acting teacher who teaches them how to cry on camera. KC:"You think you can change all that?" Chapel:"Well, maybe not, but I don't have to tolerate it."

Michael Madsen is excellent as Chapel. He has this tough-and-rough look about him (which is why he usually plays the bad guys...) which really fits Chapel's character. Kathleen York is great too as KC- Chapel's assistant.

The idea of the show, plots, script, acting- everything is great. Too bad it only lasted 1 season before it was canceled (only god knows why...). If you have the chance- watch this show. I promise you'll be feeling very satisfied when the episode ends and thinking: "Yes! Chapel really nailed that guy...".

Watch and enjoy.

Great!

I have to admit I didn't have much faith in Ted Denson- he usually plays in comedies, and this movie is a drama. But after watching this movie, I have to beg for forgiveness for my lack of faith. :-) Denson was excellent and I was very impressed. The same can be said about Queen Latifah. They made me feel their fear, confusion, happiness etc. The plot was very good. I was in suspense the whole movie. Great direction, too. I loved the whole aura of the movie- dark and mysterious, spooky and creepy at times. It managed to be a suspense/horror movie, without being a standard horror movie. I mean, they don't show blood or disgusting things like in "Scream" (for example), but psychologically horror, like "The sixth sense". Hope you got my drift... :-)

Bottom line: this movie was great, I really enjoyed everything about it: acting, script, photography, direction, plot...everything. If you have the chance to watch it- watch it. I think you'll enjoy it... Have fun!!!

very bad-and I'm being gentle...

Oh my god-what a terrible movie! I always try to see the good things in movies and I never give a harsh criticism like other ppl-up until now. This must be one of the worst movies I've ever seen. It was bad on so many levels that I don't know where to begin,so forgive me if my comment is a bit messy...

The plot was terribly weak and completely unoriginal-a madman(Hooper)bombing places(deja vu of "speed",but "speed" is 100 times better), 2 cops(one with a personal agenda-his partner was killed)trying to stop him.

The dialogue was awful, full of cliches and sometimes so stupid I couldn't bare it so I put the tv on mute. Like in the end with Seagal's "smart" words-"love is forever and forever is eternity"-or some sh*t like that, really can't remember cause couldn't decide whether to laugh or cry.

The acting was plain horrible. I saw school plays which were better acted. Took me half an hour into the movie to realize Hooper's character is Irish, cause his accent was on and off. And Seagal looked like he was bored with the whole thing, and just wanted to be paid so he could go home.

The special effects weren't special at all. A few standard explosions which I could live with, but that scene where Hooper and Pressly are driving in the car...was there anyone who didn't notice the use of a blue screen? It couldn't get more obvious than that...

So,okay-the plot, dialogue, acting, special effects-they all stink,so what about some typical Steven Seagal fighting scenes to save the day? After all, that's why we usually watch his movies, right? Well, not this time! Can you believe there were none?! Only one stupid scene where we only see Seagal's face and then a shot from the back when his double(probably)is fighting(if you can call it that)for him.Meaning,we never actually see Seagal fighting.

To sum up,this is truly an awful movie, and it was better if the money spent on making it had been donated for charity. A waste of money. Avoid.

enjoyable movie

I was sitting at home bored, with nothing to do,when I came upon this movie.I didn't expect much but, having nothing better to do,decided to watch it-and I'm glad I did so.It's one of those movies you can pass your time with when you're bored-you don't have to think too much and it won't make you cry your heart out, only laugh and have a good time. The dialogues were witty and funny and John Cusack was great.I just loved his character. He wasn't a typical hit-man -he really is a nice guy,and even when he's fighting and shooting he keeps on talking and talking.Cusack really does that great-saying very long monologues, which makes me admire him. To conclude,if you're feeling a bit down or just bored-see this movie. It's a great comedy and is sure to make you feel better.

one of my favourite Disney movies
23 September 2001
I don't know what it is about this movie, but even now, when I'm no longer a kid, when I think about it,I get this warm, fuzzy feeling.I love Ariel(she's beautiful) and Eric(I had a crush on him when I was little...isn't he a hunk?:-)),Flounder and Sebastian are funny, the songs are great and the story itself is heart-warming and touching.I also loved "Beauty and the Beast" and "Aladin",but this one I loved a bit more.Maybe because it was the first Disney film I saw.Anyhow, this is a classic and a must see,so if you haven't seen it yet,go see it now!

One of the best dramas ever made(might contain spoilers)
23 September 2001
Warning: Spoilers
It's hard to put into words how I feel about this movie and why.I don't remember when I first saw it,just remember I was very young at the time, but since than I think I saw it 10 times, and I never stop enjoying. This movie is a classic, and I don't think I'm exaggerating by saying it's a masterpiece. The story just captivated me from the beginning.Dustin Hoffman was amazingly convincing as Raymond,an otist, and I fell for him immediately.Tom cruise was,in my opinion,at his best. The relationship between Raymond and Charlie(Cruise) was just magnificant, and so was charlie's character-at first he was a big snob who only cared about the car and the money his father chose to leave for Raymond, and treated Raymond poorly. But as the movie continues,he slowly draws closely to his older brother(remembering the day Raymond left)and starts to honestly care about him.He even tries to legally have custody of him, wanting to live with him.My heart just tore when Raymond was trying to make something to eat and the fire alarm started ringing-the way Charlie tried to calm him down-you could just see the love he felt for him.And the ending just makes me cry everytime, because even though Charlie can visit him whenever he wants,it's not the same as living and being together almost all the time, the way they were on their journey.

To conclude, the story is beautiful, the acting is great...A keeper.

an amazing movie
22 September 2001
This is one of my favourite movies.I usually don't enjoy watching dramas, but this one was special. From the very first moment I was glued to the screen, and when it ended I couldn't believe 3 hours had passed. The story,as I'm sure almost everyone knows what it's about, was touching, and it made me laugh and cry.The cast was chosen well;Tom Hanks was great as always, and Michael Clarke Duncan managed to look good-hearted and sometimes timid despite his size. And to those who say that the movie wasn't realistic because, for instance, real guards aren't that nice and sympathetic:most movies show things that aren't realistic, otherwise they would be boring. And for example,if anyone knows a doctor as nice, kind and good-looking as Doug Ross=George Clooney from ER,give me a call...

See the movie-you'll love it...
