The Pink Panther (2006)
Work of art
This film is genius, a true staple in cinema history, someone add this to the criterion collection, Steve Martin deserves a badge of honour drowned in ink for this film... it doesn't age, it will stand the test of time and then some.
It's one of those films that will cheer you up on some of the worst days in existence, it's silly and it's brilliant and it's mesmerising all at once
I like going back to this film every few years and dissociating to it, just embrace the laughter for an hour and thirty minutes and forget we live an insufferable existence in the cruel world. Nothing matters once that soundtrack starts playing.

Yellowjackets: Friends, Romans, Countrymen (2023)
Back with a Buzz
I've had Yellowjackets on my watchlist for nearly a year, got round to watching the first season just a couple weeks ago. Watched many interviews with the cast. Then this premiered today... on my birthday!
It was an epic premiere. I applaud the writers, cast and even the cinematography. The twists and turns do not stop giving and it's delectable (no pun intended)
The small details really put things together and makes every scene more personal, like how Taissa' eyes have a glow of red now, consistently.
There's so many layers, to each character, and each episode, to unravel, and to not unravel, is the beauty of it all. It is a beautifully well made piece of work and this premiere was just the tip of another Yellowjacket spiking spiral to sink into.
Poker Face (2023)
Does this give you optimistic depression too?
I love Natasha Lyonne in everything, since But I'm a Cheerleader and to Russian Doll, and then she is killing this role!
I love how this show is a perfect balance of humour, drama and mystery. It's the equal parts that make it strong. I love what surprises each episode brings, how dedicated the cast are to their craft and the energy it leaks is magnetising.
I'll be sad when season 1 is over and hope for a season 2!!
Why is the required characters so much? - I hope this series receives more reognition through this year and the years to come as it's one of the best, different and captivating ones of recent times.
Natasha Lyonne for president.
Clickbait (2021)
There's a lot to unpack in Clickbait. Is it worth unpacking?
I happened upon Clickbait while looking for something thriller and binge able to watch. This shows ticks both boxes, paired with having good character development and intense build up through each episode
Where it seemed to lose its point was the climax, the sauce, the ~big reveal~... the sinking ship. Disappointment is an understatement after that reveal. It was like the writers rushed the final episode and didn't know how it was going to go either until the end, so it ended up feeling like a sort of anybody situation, flustered yet underwhelming at once... when I'm sure, really, we were ALL railing on it to be the cop in the end. 1312.
Aquaman (2018)
A stinky disappointment..
Of choice with the disgraced Amber Heard to costar along a respectable crew. The woman simply cannot act, not to even mention the other reasons she shouldn't be in entertainment, but I think we all know it's plenty.
The Bubble (2022)
This film made my COVID worse
Okay plot executed terribly, decent team of actors who sadly seemed to of left any talent they had outside of the Bubble upon entering.
I try to not turn films off once I've started them, though contemplated it several times.
Old (2021)
I grew old watching this
M Night Smellyman strikes again.
Not only does he proceed to disappoint all 5 senses continuously, he disappoints upwards backwards forewards and downwards.
